Chapter 127

“My name is….

Before the kid could tell his name, the guard that was looking out for the kid held his hand and they left. Sun felt sad because they were not able to introduce themselves properly, but he believes that they will meet again soon. 

Little did the two kids know, that would be their last time meeting. As the heavens gave you miracles, but in order to test your faith, it will also give you hardships in life. Those hardships will build your personality and help you strengthen yourself. 

“I really forgot to ask the name of that young boy, but since he promised that we will meet some other time, there will be a chance that we could meet again.” Sun said happily. 

They were waiting for the other kids so that they could cross the pedestrian and go to the parking lot. The teacher asked them to behave as there were also cars crossing that time, and the children said yes. But due to the nature of being a kid, still, there are some instances that they are really being playful even when they were told too. 

“Hey, watch out!” The kid said as his ball rolled towards the road. The kids were trying to move  to get the ball. The traffic light was still red, and since Sun was too kind, he did not hesitate and ran to pick up the ball. 

There was a loud thud that echoed all over the place. The kids screamed and shouted and the teachers cried for help. Lying on the road was Sun, bleeding from the accident. On the other hand, the car that hit Sun stopped to check, but dashed instantly and left the scene. 

At the farm, Mercedes was busy preparing for Sun’s favourite food. He was excited waiting for the return of his beloved Sun. As she was busy chopping the vegetables, Cynthia came running towards her. 

“Ma’am, hear me out, but please calm down first.” Cyntia said. 

“Why? What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Mercedes asked.

“It’s about Sun, Ma’am. Please go to where Sir Roman is. He is waiting for you.” Cynthia said. 

Hearing what Cynthia said, Mercedes felt uneasy. She was getting goosebumps and became nervous. She closed her eyes to regain her composure and began to walk towards the office. After a few minutes, she arrived there, and saw Roman was talking on the phone. Austin was heading out carrying their car keys. Mercedes' hands began to shake as panic and nervousness enveloped her body. 

“What happened?” Mercedes asked. 

“My dear, you are here. Please calm down with what I have to say.” Roman said and held her wife’s hand. 

“Why? Is there something wrong?” 

“Our son got into an accident….
