Chapter 89

I just woke up to the fact that Sun was no longer by my side. I didn't realize it was morning so I didn't see him next to me. I remembered again what had happened last night, and I suddenly felt embarrassed. I was suddenly startled when I heard a voice behind me.

“You’re looking for him, right? He was gone when I came to the room.” Miko said. I almost hit him in shock. 

“Yeah, I know. I did not realize that it’s morning already. So how about my schedule today?” I asked. 

“Don’t worry about your schedule. You have two this afternoon so what you need to worry about now is taking care of yourself. Just wait here, I asked the staff to bring you food and also medicine. Lena will also be here in a minute. We will eat together with you to make sure that you won’t skip your meal.” Miko said, cleaning up the table.

“Thank you. By the way, did Ms.Suarez already send you the other papers needed?” 

“Yeah, she did. I already checked and we are good to go. Let’s just wait for her to send us the funds.” 

“That’s good. Once we return to the farm, we have to brief them about this project for our buyer. Kindly make a plan and also ask Lena to handle the inventory since she knows most of the things at the farm.” 

“Yeah, I will. Don’t worry about it. Now, let’s just wait for Lena and the food to arrive.” Miko said. 

Slowly standing up, I fished out my phone and called at Wish and Fly. 

“Hi, how is everything going there?” I asked. 

“Everything is okay, Sir. Let me apologize, I forgot to tell you about the girl who went to the farm. I accidentally told her where you were.” Austin said, apologizing. 

“It’s okay, Austin. Everything is fine, and by the way? How did you know that she went to the hotel?” I asked. 

“We saw you on the news, Sir. We were so glad that you defended Lena from that crazy woman. Simon and Maria were shocked at first, but they understood what happened. Lena called us after that incident.” Austin said. 

“Well, let me apologize to them when we get back there. I promised that I will take care of Lena, but I let that happen to her. I know that it was really my fault.” I said, looking at Miko who was trying to listen to our conversation.  

“Don’t worry, Sir. They are not mad or anything. Well, Lena told us stories and everyone fancies now to visit the hotel that you own.” Austin said, laughing on the other line. 

“Oh, don’t worry about it because I will let you visit here. I will make some proper arrangements for your vacation.” I said,

“You heard that everyone!” Austin shouted. All of a sudden, I heard everyone cheering. My heart felt good after hearing that they were happy. I ended the call and at the same time, Lena was here in the room together with the attendant. 

“Lena, you have a lot of explaining to do.” I said, laughing. Miko also chimed in. 

“Why? What did I do Sir?” Lena asked, confused. 

“Why did everyone at the farm go on vacation?” I asked, holding my laughter. I can see that Lena was turning pale already because of nervousness.

“Oh my goodness, I told them not to tell you, but oh my goodness.” Lena shook her head.

Miko and I laughed looking at her distressed face. 

“Now, we are just joking, we wanted it to be a surprise though.” I said, 

“Still, I apologize.” Lena said, bowing her head towards us. 

“Silly, don’t think about it too much. Now, Let’s eat.” I said, moving over the table. The attendant fixed the table and we began to eat. We asked Lena if she still wants to do something while we are here in the city, but she said she will think about it. 

“Oh, I just noticed, I thought big brother Sun is working in your room? Why can’t I see him?” Lena asked. 

Miko and I looked at each other, panicking on what we should do. Lena was waiting for her answer. 

“Uh, Sun left early. He will visit his family.” Miko lied. 

“Eh, yes. He visited his family today, and I think he forgot to tell you yesterday.” I said, 

“I see, well if he will be back later, let’s go to the amusement park at the eastern side of the city.” Lena suggested. 

“Amusement park?” Miko and I asked in chorus. 

“Yes, the Gama Gama Amusement park. Don’t you know about it? Don’t tell me, you two did not go to an amusement park before?” Lena said, and smirked at us. 

“This kid, of course. We were able to do so, but it was really a long time already. We were still kids at that time.” Miko said, 

“Then, let’s set it up. Once big brother Sun returns, can we go there tonight? Is that okay?” Lena asked. 

“Sure, I’ll call the management of that park. I think I know the owner, and I’ll rent the whole space tonight.” I said. 

“Oh, really? Wow, I can’t wait.” Lena said, and clapped her hands like a seal. We continued eating and talked about random things. Of course, Lena is so inquisitive that she keeps on bombarding us with questions. After an hour, we finally finished our breakfast. It took us a lot of time because we just kept on talking and talking. 

Lena left the room first, and Miko and I were left inside to arrange my appointments and also my presentation. 

“By the way, how was the investigation about Sun’s origin?” I asked Miko. 

“Well, I still did not have any response. Why?” 

“Yesterday, Ms. Suarez had mistaken Sun as his godchild.” I said. 

“What?” Miko exclaimed. 

“Yes, that’s right. We can use that information to dig deeper about Sun’s identity.” I said. 

“Sure, let me call the investigators late. I will send someone to do a background check on Ms. Suarez.” Miko said, taking it down in his notebook. 

“Also, include Mr. Hernandez.” I suggested. 

“Why?” 

“The father of his godchild was Mr. Hernandez. As far as I know, he did have a son but did not tell it publicly because the kid was sickly.” I said. 

“What! Things are getting interesting. What if Sun is really the son of Mr. Hernandez?” Miko said, looking serious.

“There is a possibility, but we need to make sure that we have the correct information. I don’t want to hurt Sun during the process.” I said. 

“Yeah, me too. We need to make sure that Sun will be okay once he finds out the truth of his identity. Don’t worry, I’ll contact the investigators as soon as possible.”

“Thank you so much. Please keep this secret between us first.” I said. 

“Sure.”
