"I found a really cool place Miko." I said,

"And where is that?" He asked.

I pointed at the mountain near the Wish and Fly farm.

"You wouldn’t believe what I saw there at the edge of that mountain.” I smiled.

“You mean you went mountain climbing with Lena?” Miko exclaimed.

“Yes, I did. I was really surprised that she would invite me to go to that spot in the mountain. Well, next time we can go there together. Maybe let’s bring some drinks too? It would be nice.” I said,

“Oh, sure. But it’s really weird.”

“What’s weird?” I asked.

“To think that you would go with Lena, of all people. A person that you didn't know personally. You are changing, Ray. I can’t believe it.” He answered.

Miko was right. If I am the same old me, I would never go with other people unless it was instructed by my father. I am really surprised, having a deep conversation with her. Did the barrier I made slowly crumbling down? I couldn’t care less because I am already away from my father. I don’t need to be so uptight on myself.

“Honestly, I was surprised too. I just agreed to what she was telling me, and there, I was already watching the view from the mountain.”

“Well, it’s a good thing. Still, be careful. Don’t let your guard down, there are a lot of people who want to exploit your weakness. Don’t forget that you still bear the surname De Luna.” Miko said.

He was right. That should be the one thing I will never forget.

“So what are your plans now?” He asked.

“What do you mean?”

“Forget about it. By the way, your sister called again, but I told her that you are busy. I told her to tell you personally if she wants to give you a message. Also, we have a bit of a problem with your pastry business. The supplies are getting lower, I will check the audit.”

“What does my sister want? I am already away from them, and why does she want to bother us? Please send me a report once you're done, and I’ll check what we can do about it. Also, help Lena with what she will do in the office.” I said.

“Okay, Ray. I think you should rest for now. You are still dripping with sweat. You might get a cold if you don’t change.” Miko said and waved his hand, pointing at the house.

“Okay, I will, Mother.” I laughed.

“Do you want me to hit you?” He said.

“Sorry, mother! Bye. Haha.”

I said hello to the other workers and headed back to my room. I checked my phone, and Miko was right. My sister called me multiple times, but since I left my phone, I cannot answer it. Well, I wouldn’t answer it even if I carried it. I also received other notifications as usual, and documents that needed to be signed. After checking all the important updates, I picked up the towel and headed to the bathroom.

The cold water ran on my body, removing all the dirt that got stuck on my body. That walk was really refreshing, and it was my first time too. It would be fun if I could bring a lot more friends soon. A smiling Sun flashed across my mind again.

Sitting on the rocks, watching the view together with me. That's what I suddenly imagined. I wanted to hear him laugh and see him smile even more. I wish that I was able to bring him there.

Wait? Why am I suddenly thinking about him again? Picking up the towel, I shook the dripping water from my hair and patted it dry. I hurriedly went out of the room and picked up the clean clothes that I got earlier.

I sat down on the couch and continued wiping my wet hair. My phone and checked who was calling. I was about to drop the call, thinking that it was my sister again, but it was an unknown number. Without hesitation, I answered the call thinking that this might be one of my clients, or maybe referred to me.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Ray. How are you?”

“U-uhm. I’m fine, thank you for asking. Who’s on the line by the way?”

“You don’t remember me? It seems you have forgotten about me.”

“Wait, I don’t think I know you?” I responded.

“How dare you forget your girlfriend? It’s Pine!” The girl on the other line answered.

“Wait? Pine?! How did you get my number? Also, I told you that I don’t want to talk with you anymore.” I said, standing up from the couch.

“Why don’t you want to talk to me? Remember, I am your girlfriend. Of course, I will do everything just to find you, wherever you are.” She said, giving a disturbing laugh.

“Stop it, Pine! Don’t you remember? We already broke up years ago.”

“Who told you I agreed to what you said! I really love you, Ray. I can’t live without you.” She said, crying.

“Did you stop taking your medications again, Pine? I’ll tell your mother about it.”

Her mood changed again, now she was mad. “Don’t you dare Ray! I’ll hurt myself even more!”

“Don’t threaten me, Pine. I know what you do, and this will definitely reach Aunt Camila.” I said, my voice getting higher.

“Let’s see. I’ll make sure that no one can get you from me. No one steals you from me, remember that Ray! You will be crawling back to me soon.” Pine laughed menacingly. I don't know but that sent shivers down my spine.

I was so annoyed that I threw the phone on my bed. I sat down on the couch and closed my eyes to calm myself down.

My plan did not even meet my expectations. I was so focused on getting away from Father that I forgot that there is another person that caused great pain in my life.
