Chapter 27

“Lena, do you believe in ghosts or spirits?”

She gave me a puzzled look before she answered.

“U-uh, Sir. Well, I am afraid of ghosts, and yes, I believe in them. Why did you ask?”

“Well, here is the situation. I know someone and he asked me if it’s possible that you can live with one. The thing is, that person I knew is the only one who can see and talk with the ghost. The ghost also lost it’s memories.” I said.

“Sounds like a plot of a movie. Did he ask why the ghost appeared to him?” Lena asked.

“Yes, that person asked. The ghost told that person he was tied to him, and cannot go to other places except where he is.”

“That sounds creepy, to live with a ghost.”

“Eh, Sun is…

I froze and realized what I was about to say. I looked at Lena, and she was giving me the puzzled face again.

“Sun? I thought he was your friend? Are you talking about yourself, Sir?”

“E-eh, no. It’s not me.” I lied.

Lena must have caught on to my situation, and laughed as a response.

“Okay, Sir. Sun is your friend, not a ghost.” She teased.

My ears become red because of embarrassment. I wanted to get away from here. Should I jump? Silly Ray, you really put your guard down. Can I trust Lena and tell her about Sun?

“I’m sorry Sir. I think I went overboard and became too comfortable with you.” She said and bowed her head.

“That’s fine Lena.” I smiled.

“To answer your question Sir, I think you should help each other and find the reason why he was tied to the person in the first place. I can tell that ghost that person was seeing is not a bad one, like on the stupid movies that we watched. Just tell that person to follow his heart on deciding what to do about the situation. I hope they will be both happy in the end, and the ghost will find his peace at last.”

Sun’s words ran through my mind asking if I was sure about my offer before. I am pretty sure that it really sounded weird but I really want to help him.

“I hope too, Lena. I wish that they will find the happiness that they are seeking.” I said,

We stayed silent for a few moments and enjoyed the view until I decided to go back down the farm.

“I think we should go.”

Lena nodded his head in response and we began to walk back at the farm. As soon as we arrived, I can tell that the people were in panic.

“There you are, Sir Ray?” Austin said, panting. It felt like he was running around.

“What happened?” I asked.

“We thought you had gone missing, Sir Miko told us that you were nowhere to be found, so we began to look around.” He explained. The employees began to gather around us.

Lena and I looked at each other, confused about what happened. As soon as we realized the situation, we couldn't help but laugh. The workers looked puzzled with our reaction.

“Are you both okay, Sir?” Austin asked.

“Yes, we are.” I smiled.

Miko appeared and rushed towards me. Everyone was surprised by what happened next. Miko slapped my back.

“Ouch!” I exclaimed.

I was about to hit him back but I realized that my employees were watching us.

“Where did you go? I was freaking worried, and I thought that you fell somewhere here on the farm.” Miko said,

“I took a break and needed some fresh air, so we went somewhere.” I said.

“And you did not tell me?”

“Stop it Miko. You are like my mom again.” I said.

We stopped when we heard everyone laughing.

“I think the case ends here now.” Austin said, laughing.
