“Are you okay, Ray?”
“Y-yes, I’m okay.” I answered and went near the door to open the lights. When the light hit the room, for a second I saw Sun radiating with his pale skin. My heart beat even faster than earlier, and I can feel my jaws drop.
Sun disappeared and before I knew it, he was so close again. I moved backwards, but he kept on moving towards me.
“Did you forget what I told you the other day?” I said, and looked away from him.
Sun froze on his steps and pouted again. He blinked back to the couch and sat there, silent. I slowly walked towards the bed and looked at him. He covered his face, maybe he was embarrassed. A minute passed but both of us were not talking.
I couldn't take it anymore and blurted out. “I’m sorry.”
“I should be the one saying sorry about what happened. I forgot our agreement.” Sun said.
We just looked at each other, then all of a sudden laughter bursted out in the room. We kept on laughing for some unknown reason. Then I realized that the other people might hear us again so I raised my fingers and placed it on my lips, signaling him to stay silent.
“Opps.” Sun said.
“Ray?” The door opened and it was Miko. I panicked and stood up to cover who was sitting on the couch. It would be bad if Miko saw Sun.
“Yes.” I said, forcing a smile.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“I’m fine. Why did you not knock on the door?”
“Well, I heard you were laughing from outside. Beside from you, I heard another voice. I was about to call you to eat dinner.” Miko said. He might have caught on to the situation and was trying to look behind me.
“N-no, I am alone.” I lied.
“Are you sure. Why do I feel that you are hiding someone?” He laughed and began to walk. Miko headed to the restroom to check. As soon as he did that, I looked behind me but Sun was not there.
Miko went out of the restroom and looked around again. “There you are!”
He shouted and opened the closet to check if someone was hiding. Miko said that he was pretty sure that he heard another voice aside from me.
“There was no one here. I told you I am alone, haha.” I said, laughing.
“Oh really, for some reason, I can feel someone is here. There is one last place that I did not check.” He dashed towards the bed and opened the sheets, then looked under the bed.
“You know what, stop that. You are like my mother again, haha.”
He stood up and scratched his head in disappointment. I am pretty sure that he wanted to find out if there was really someone in my room, and will tease me if he proves it. I forgot that I am the only one that can see Sun, and I felt relieved. I should have acted naturally earlier, but it was fun seeing my friend embarrassing himself.
“I told you, there is no one in here.” I said, trying to hide my laughter.
“Okay, you win. Next time I will definitely catch you, young man.” He said.
“So, what are we waiting for? I thought we were going to eat dinner?”
“Oh, I forgot. Let’s go.” Miko said.
My friend went out of the room first. I looked around to see where Sun was, and he was back sitting on my bed. He was laughing hard too. I raised my hands and gave him a thumbs up, then I left the room.

“I heard one of the farmer’s daughters went to you earlier?” Miko asked.
“Yes, she just asked permission to go on a leave. She was planning to apply to the community college. The young girl wanted to finish her studies.” I said, and ate the potato soup that Cynthia made.
“Then, did you allow her?”
“Of course, why would I stop someone if she wants to do something good. Besides, I can see her determination.” I said.
“You really changed a lot.” Miko said.
“How? I am still the same old me. Oh yeah, you're right. The free version of me, haha.”
“Silly.”
We continued to eat the food that Cynthia gave us. I really love everything that she makes. It was so good, and to add to that, the ingredients were fresh. We thanked Cynthia and decided to go back to the main house.
“Oh, I remember, I told Lena to go part time at the office. Please help her so that she can get an allowance for her studies.”
“Roger!” Miko said and saluted.
“SIlly. I hope that his father will agree to her now.” I sighed.
“You remember your father?”
“I won’t deny that, but Lena’s father and mine were different. Let’s not talk about it, I might get indigestion.”
After talking about some random things and about the business, we decided to call it a day. I hurriedly went to the room to check on Sun. I saw him looking outside the window silently.
“Sorry, I talked about business with my friend.” I said, locking the door. This is to make sure that my friend will not snoop around again.
He looked at me and smiled, blinking on the couch. “It’s fine. I heard you were talking outside.”
“So, how are you today?” I asked.
“I’m good. Same as usual, I can’t remember where I am in the morning, and before I knew it I was in your room again. How about you?”
While picking up the pajamas from my closet, I responded. “Today was a bit tiring, but everything is okay, so far.”
“So far? Why?” He asked.
“I am just worried about Lena, one of the farmer’s daughters.”
“You are really kind, you know.” Sun said.
“How can you say so?”
“Judging from what you said, I also overheard you talking with her earlier. Besides, you are allowing a stranger, I mean a ghost free load in your room.”
I just laughed in response. What he said made my feel a little better.
