That night, I had another dream, and it was still the same dream that I kept on having ever since I went to this farm. There were changes because the once gloomy and creepy dream was filled with laughter and happiness this time.
“Thank you for keeping your promise, my friend.” The kid said and smiled brightly.
When I opened my eyes, it’s already morning. I looked around, and Sun was not here again. He keeps on disappearing every morning, and I still don’t know the reason why.
Slowy, I rolled over the bed, and I can still feel his aura. That cold gentle force radiating from him was addicting. I decided to stay on the bed, feeling that cold atmosphere.
“Ray, are you awake?” Someone said, knocking on the door. It was Miko.
“Yes, go in.” I said,
Miko slowly entered the room, as if he was being cautious of something, like he doesn’t want to disturb someone. Usually, he just enters my room and shakes my soul out of me until I wake up. This time, something was weird. He must have noticed that I was looking at him so he gave me an awkward smile.
“Are you looking for Sun?” I asked,
Miko looked at me, before responding. ‘Yes, where is he?”
“That’s what I don’t know too, he just disappears every morning.” I answered.
“I see, everything about him is really mysterious. By the way, just stay in your room, I asked Cynthia to bring you food here. As for work, you just need to sign the papers. I’ll ask Lena to carry your laptop here so that you can check on things too.” Miko said, picking up the broom and dust pan. He started to sweep the room.
After fixing my bed, I went to the bathroom to take a light shower and to change clothes. I stopped by the mirror and saw the bandages. I believe these wounds will leave a scar, well, who cares anyway. After cleaning myself, I went out and Cynthia was there, carrying a tray of food. I hurriedly went to her, and was about to help her, but she said that I should rest. She was also shocked to see Miko cleaning, and she told us that she was surprised to see us doing chores.
Well, at some point in our lives, since we wanted to live independently, we decided to learn to do this kind of thing. After talking for a few minutes, Cynthia left the room. Miko and I started to eat the food that she gave us.
“By the way, about Sun, It feels familiar.” Miko said, and chewed on the banana.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Sun’s situation where he appears and disappears. I think I read a book about that somewhere. I just cannot remember the title.” Miko said.
Despite being playful, Miko was really a bookworm. During our younger years, you would find him staying in the library most of the time.
“Let me try to remember it.” Miko said.
