I felt relieved seeing the two of them safe, and we just stood silent as we moved towards the first aid team. As soon as we hit the side of the pool, I noticed something was off. I noticed a red liquid flowing on the pool. Lena screamed as Sun passed out, hitting the ground.
“Sun!”
I rushed towards him and checked. He was bleeding badly. The first aid team rushed towards us, and started to remove his clothes to find the wound. There was a huge wound on his right abdomen, drawing downwards.
My hands were trembling as worry and fear ran all over my body. I can hear Lena and Marga cry, while Miko was calling for help for an ambulance. What happened? How did this happen when we are all watching?
The police arrived and started asking questions about the incident. Miko was the one who answered the inquiries from the police. We carried Sun to a covered area since it was raining heavily. He was just lying there, his eyes closed as the staff covered his wounds. One staff member tried to check his vital signs and was surprised.
“He doesn’t have any pulse.” The staff said.
“What? Have you tried checking again?” The other one asked.
“Yes, he doesn’t really have a pulse, but his breathing was continuous. This is weird, we need help from the medical experts.” The staff said.
Remembering Sun’s situation, I panicked and called Lena. I instructed her to call our driver which made her confused. She was about to ask why, but I just told her to call them immediately, which she did. The other staff was trying to call the hospital again, but I cut them off.
“About that, let me bring him back to my hotel room. I have a friend who is a doctor and is near the area. We will pick him up and treat him at my place.” I said,
The staff were shocked by my suggestion, and I persuaded them to listen to my request. Finally, they agreed and told them not to worry as I will contact their boss. They kept on pressing on Sun’s wound to prevent the bleeding, while we were waiting for the car. I picked up my phone and called the person that I was referring to.
“Please pick up….
After a minute, someone answered on the other line.
“Hello?” The woman on the other line said,
“Hey, Nica. This is Ray, are you at your place? I have an emergency. We will pick you up once my driver arrives.” I said.
“What emergency?” She asked.
“I will tell you on the way, so please wait for us. Please, Nica. Thank you.” I said.
“Okay, okay.” She said and hung up the call.
My car also arrived in time and I asked the male staff to carry Sun in my car. I sat down beside him while Lena sat beside the driver. I continued pressing down on Sun’s wound to prevent the blood loss.
“Darwin, please go to Nica’s place. We will pick her up.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Lena, call Miko that we will go back to the hotel and tell him to handle everything there.”
“Yes, Sir Ray.”
We are running out of time. All I could do at that time was to wish that there would be no more complications.
