Chapter 53

"Do you want to go with us?" Miko asked Sun. 

"Where?"

"Next week, we will be going back to the city for a business meeting." Miko said. 

Wait? What? Did I hear Miko correctly? He is asking Sun to go with us? I was about to react when I heard Miko again. 

"Oh, right Sun. I heard from my friend that you cannot go far from him, right? Then this is an opportunity for you to go on a trip." Miko said. 

My friend was right. Whether I like it or not, since Sun is bound to me, he will be at the place where I am.

“What are you talking about, guys?” I asked, pretending that I did not hear them earlier. 

“Oh, is it true that you will be going out next week?” Sun asked, looking at me with his puppy eyes. Again, he looked different from the time that I was with him at the hut below the mountainside. This side of him makes my tingle like crazy. There were a lot of things that really made me curious about him. To me, he is mysterious and like a puzzle that I want to solve.

“Yes, we will be meeting a client that time. Why?” I pretended to ask. 

“Oh, I just want to…

“Yeah, that’s right, Ray. Why don’t we let Sun come with us?” Miko butted in all of a sudden. Eh, when did they become so close for Miko to ask like this? Did I miss something, or is my friend plotting again for something? 

The two were looking at me eagerly, waiting for my response. “Oh, yeah. Ofcourse, Sun can come with us.”

The two looked at each other, and Miko gave a high five at Sun. I can feel that both of them were delighted, but the happiness that was radiating from Sun was so good. I can’t help not to smile too. I hope I can see him happy like this, always.

“There’s no turning back on your decision, Ray.” Miko said. 

“Sure, also I told you that we were bound with each other, wherever I go, Sun will be there.” I said. 

“You heard that, Sun? I know you will enjoy the city once we get out.” Miko said, 

“I am really excited, and as far as I can remember, this will be the first time that I can go out of the farm. Thank you so much, guys.” Sun said, flashing one one of his sweetest smiles.

My ears became hot as soon as I saw him like that, and my heart pounded like crazy. I was mesmerized by his smile, and it was enough to send me into this feeling. I wanted to touch his face, but I was trying to hold back. Breathing in and out, I tried to calm down the sudden rush of emotions. 

“You look cute, Sun.” Miko said, and smiled too. 

“Thank you.” Sun said shyly. 

The emotions I was feeling earlier changed into a different one fast. I don’t know but jealousy crept into my body. Without thinking, my body acted all of a sudden. I sat down beside Sun, and I looked at Miko, annoyed. The two were surprised by my actions. 

“Are you okay, Ray?” Miko asked. 

“Yeah, is there something wrong?” Sun asked. 

I did not answer, and I just sat down there staring at Miko. My friend looked at me confused, and wanted to ask me, but I guess he knew what I was feeling right now. Miko tried to laugh, but my body acted on it’s own, and glared at him. 

“S-sun, I think I need to go now.” Miko said, and stood up. I just looked at my friend, waiting for his next actions. 

“Why? I thought you would be telling me more stories?” Sun asked.

“Next time, I need to rest now. I still have a lot of work to do.” Miko lied. 

“Okay, if you say so. Go back here anytime so that we can talk, again, my new found friend.” Sun laughed. 

“Of course. Bye Sun, I’ll go now.” He said, and looked at me, telling me to answer him on his questions tomorrow. Miko hurriedly left the room. 

As soon as Miko left, Sun was looking at me. “Are you okay Ray? Is there something wrong?”
