Blue Hour

Chapter 122

Roman was running late and Mercedes went out to call his husband. Sun patiently waited for his parents because he wanted to eat with them. Mercedes told him to eat already, but he insisted on waiting. 

After almost half an hour, the couple showed up and they were surprised to see that Sun was waiting for them. Cynthia just looked at them, nodding her head telling them about something. 

“Honey, why did you not eat? I told you earlier to go ahead right?” Mercedes said, and sat down beside Sun who hugged her mother. 

“I don’t want to eat alone, Mom. I want to eat with you and also my father.” Sun said, 

“Why? Is there something wrong? Your mom told me about that trip, and I agree. You don’t need to worry about it.” Roman said. 

“It’s not about that, Dad. I wanted to eat together with you. For the past few days, it was just Mom and me. Honestly, I feel lonely.” Sun confessed. 

Mercedes looked at Roman, and they were both teary eyed. Hearing those things from a young child was a bit sad. 

“Don’t worry, Sun. Once everything is fixed with the export of our products, we will always eat with you.” Roman said, 

“Promise?” Sun asked. 

“It’s a promise.” Roman said, and hugged his wife and kid. 

The family began to eat together with the other staff as well. They talked about random things, and Sun even danced in front of them. That night, pure happiness radiated at the whole farm. Sun was really like the sun. He brought color and life, as well as warmth to the farm. Everyone adored and loved him.

The day came when Sun was about to leave for their field trip. Sun was so excited that kept talking about it the night before. Until the time that he woke up, his excitement was overflowing. Mercedes prepared everything that his son needed, and even made extra so that he could give it to his friends.  

The school bus arrived at the front of the farm and it picked up the kids who were waiting. Sun and his classmates decided that the farm will be their pick up point. Mercedes also prepared snacks for the teachers and the other kids, and gave it to them. 

No one knew that this day would bring a huge change in their life. 

The school bus left and Sun was really happy. They are going to see a lot of places that he wanted to go to. They happily played with his friends on the bus. 

They went first to a local aquarium, and he was really happy to see different types of fish. He was fascinated seeing them swimming close to him. What really caught his attention was the jellyfish, and also the sea slugs. The different colours coming from them made him happy. He was also happy how the jellyfish was floating freely in the water. 

After going around the aquarium, the class decided to take their lunch. There was a park near the aquarium and the faculty decided that they would eat there. They arrived at the park soon enough, and they headed to the picnic area. 

Aside from them, there was also a different school having their lunch at the place. They look rich because some of the kids have bodyguards with them, and it felt like they came from the city. 

Sun noticed that one kid was away from the others, and felt very lonely. It looked like everyone was avoiding the kid. He kept on thinking if he should approach the child or not. 

“I need to do this.” Sun said to himself and went to the direction of the kid.
