Chapter 121

Time passed by, and Sun grew up to be an exceptionally healthy kid. He was loved by everyone around him. Like his name, he radiated positive energy, and wanted his company. He was also talented and smart.

Everything that Roman and Mercedes wished came true. Sun was really loved by the people around him. The people at the farm really took care of him as well.

Mercedes also taught his child to be kind and thankful to others. They taught him how to respect others, which Sun followed.

Sun grew up so fast as time flew, and he was already in elementary school. The couple was already getting older, but they still wished that they could see their son and have his own family.

"Mom, I have something to ask?" Sun asked his mother, Mercedes.

"What is it, my baby?" She asked.

"Mom, don't call me a baby. I am already big." Sun pouted.

"Well, you are still a baby in our eyes." She said, letting out a soft laughter.

“Okay mom, if you say so.” Sun said, and his mother tightly. Mercedes did the same thing and the two laughed at each other.

“So what do you want to ask?” Mercedes asked his son.

“About that mom, we will have a field trip in the nearby towns and observatory next week. Can I go?” Sun asked.

“Of course you can. Do you want us to accompany you?” Mercedes said, teasing his son.

“Actually, is it okay if I can go with my classmates only? Most of us are going without our parents, and the teacher promised that she will take care of us.” Sun explained.

“Since our baby wanted to be independent already, there’s nothing I can do. But you still need to ask your father. You know what I mean.” Mercedes said, and laughed.

“Yes, Mom. I’ll go to him later. I don’t want to disturb him now since he looked so busy.” Sun said,

“Make sure to tell him, okay.” Mercedes reminded Sun again.

“I will.” Sun said and left the room.

Dinner came and everyone was already in the kitchen. Cynthia was also done preparing their dinner. Sun asked if they could cook him his favourite food, and Cynthia gladly agreed. Sun really likes foods with coconut milk, and since they are in the province, he was really used to it. Despite having the fortune in life, he really liked simple things, including his food. He was never choosy, and he happily ate vegetables.

Roman was running late and Mercedes went out to call his husband. Sun patiently waited for his parents because he wanted to eat with them. Mercedes told him to eat already, but he insisted on waiting.
