Chapter 2

1039 Words
Nate emerged from the back just as he had promised. And he emerged with a female passed out on his shoulder and a red bag filled with supplies slung against his shoulder. Chad watched him load the girl and the bag into the truck before hopping in and slamming the door shut. From the corner of his eyes he could make out the police offocers who lurked around and immediately moved the gear to drive and drove away. Nate couldn't believe he had been successful. He watched the nurse he had just abducted lie peacefully beside him and prayed she was skilled enough to do the job, he'd be damned if she wasn't. He then turned to Chad whose attention was fixed on the road ahead. "How much gas have we got?" "A lot." Chad hummed as he drove. "Enough to take us to west Brooke? This town isn't safe for us. We need to spend some time at the warehouse." Chad looked over at Nate who looked content with the stunt he had job at pulled. "Yes sir." "Step on it then." And that was all it took to send the car flying forward at an insane speed into a path only criminals knew like the back of their palm. --- There was a full ache at the back of her head. Very dull but she could feel it, her brain began to register her environment. There were no beeping machines and she was to work the whole day. Something was wrong. Her brown eyes flew open registering her environment, she could tell it was evening by the setting sun, but that was the only thing that was familiar around. Nothing about the room felt like home or the hospital, then it hit her. She was knocked out, she had been knocked out by some man who claimed to have a deep wound. She couldn't picture his face clearly but she remembered momentarily swooning before taking note of the object in his hand until he had hit her into concussion. She had been kidnapped. She didn't have the strength to panick, she only reached out to the back of her head gently to feel for the blood and only a dried patch of her blood mashed against her scalp together with strands of her hair sat there. "Shit." She scrambled in a bid to get to her feet, she needed to wash her head and do something about it before it got infected. But she was halted by the sound of the door swinging open. Her heart sank into her stomach upon seeing the figure standing before her. He was definitely not the man who had her knocked out. "And where the f**k am I?" She asked. She was a smart mouth, Chad knew that. Well all nurses were and what wouldn't he give to have that warm mouth being smart somewhere else. He shook his head free of the thoughts and took an intimidating step close to her. "A couple of guys are dying nurse. Come do your job." She reeled backwards as he reached out for her. A look of relief washed her face, she wasn't dying any time soon, they had a use for her. "I can walk myself." She murmured and Chad shrugged and let her walk ahead of him. He had expected her to be more stubborn and him needing to threaten her with death. Camilla was too busy weighing that chances of her life going back to normal. Definitely someone would have noticed she was gone and the police would have gotten involved. All she needed to do was to stall time and hope they found her soon. But Camilla knew her new life, even if it was just for a day definitely entailed more. She wasn't just going to rely on the cops. Any opportunity to break out, she would take it and that was why she was cooperating and acting calmly even though she could hear her own heart beat loudly. At some point, Chad had to direct her to the right place and soon they were in the living room. The place smelt like blood and death, a couple of the men had already passed on from the blood loss and just a handful were left. "What am I.. supposed to do?" Her voice trembled as she spoke. The fear getting a proper hold of her. Up until now, she had no idea she was dealing with criminals, the same ones she had heard only a few minutes earlier were wanted by the cops. "There's a bag filled with things we think you'd need. Put these men in order to save your life." She sighted the red emergency hospital bag on the couch and inched closer. Maybe if she could find something very deadly she'd inject it into the big guy. "Don't try anything stupid and get to work immediately." He grabbed her roughly and pushed her towards the men lying limp and she shuddered in disgust before bending down to examine the men she would be working on. __ It was simple, give anastasia, sew them up and pray they lived. Chad had already promised her to join the dead men if she wasn't successful. Chad sat at a distance talking to someone over the phone, and all she could gather was that someone very important would be back shortly. She was yet to do something to trigger his annoyance and he was grateful for that, he however couldn't let his guard down. He knew women, if you're not the one who breaks them.. then they truly aren't broken. Camilla didn't want to be broken by anyone, she was fine the way she was. She had gotten over multiple scenes in her head of what next would happen to her when they'd gotten what they needed from her. She was the only woman around, she was sure of that and the fact they were in hiding meant only one thing, they wouldn't be able to go out there and get off their lustful desires and that would be when she'd serve a new purpose. New terror overwhelmed her and she yanked at the chain. "Let me go home!"
