Chapter 4 - I Already Like Someone

The next morning, I woke up because of my brother who suddenly came into my room to turn off my alarm clock that was ringing so loudly. It was literally loud but it does not wake me up at all. It wakes others up that is why our maids are the ones who usually wake me up in the morning. But now they wouldn't be able to do so because of my brother who abruptly came inside my room, still in his pajamas.

“Change that damn thing.” He said so early in the morning but I simply yawned before answering him.

“Wow. Good morning to you too, stupid brother.” I said as I slowly sat up on my bed but once I did that, I froze when I saw in my peripheral vision that someone was at the door silently staring at us… I mean me.

I hurriedly covered myself with my blanket when I saw who it was when I glanced at him. I wanted to be eaten by the earth right now due to f*****g embarrassment.

I look hideous in the morning! I haven't wiped my morning star over my eyes, I don't even know if there were saliva near my mouth, and my hair is a mess. All in all, I looked like I came back from the dead every morning to the point that I don’t even want to go outside when I haven’t seen myself in the mirror first to fix myself. Other than that, my pajamas! He must have seen my pajamas that have teddy bear prints on them!

“GET OUT!” I shouted at the top of my lungs but before they did. I heard my stupid brother laughing before he left the room so I threw a pillow straight at him but was unable to hit him because he hurriedly shut the door.

Afterward, I uncovered myself and looked around the room first before sighing in relief.

No… I shouldn’t be relieved right now after he saw me in this get-up!

What will I do now?

But, before that… I glanced at the clock beside me and it was already a quarter to seven. I need to hurry or I will be late for school. I always wake up so early in the morning because it takes time for all of my preparations to be done in the morning.

I hurriedly stood up from the bed and went to the bathroom to take a bath. A quick bath at least, enough to clean my whole body, and after I finished my morning rituals, I went out of the bathroom and then walked myself into my walk-in closet where all of my things are.

I picked up my summer uniform from one of the closets since, in our school, we have two types of uniform that changes during the season which was summer and winter.

The summer uniform is a white shirt with short sleeves and has a black cardigan or a vest that has the emblem of the Academy on the left chest. It depends on your choice of style but I chose a vest because I don't like to wear a cardigan when it is already hot in school. The necktie and the skirt have the same color too. As well as the color of the socks but it is your choice if you will choose a long one or a short one. I chose a short one to define my white king legs more.

The winter uniform, on the other hand, is a white shirt and a black jacket with the emblem of the Academy on the left chest. Both have long sleeves. It has a long necktie in the same color as the jacket and skirt, as well as the socks.

I wore my uniform hurriedly and once I was finished, I checked myself in front of the mirror and saw something missing. I rummage into one of my drawers and when I saw what I was looking for, I clipped it onto my necktie. It was a golden sun and moon collar clip.

When I was able to finish after a long minute, I chose my bag and shoes for the day. The bag was the dark blue one from the 2019 spring bag collection of Tsanel. Then, for my shoes, I chose the black patent leather mules with crystal strap that came from the Chimmy Ja collection. Once, I am all done, I went out of my room and hurried downstairs to eat breakfast, or maybe I should just skip it? I will just say good morning to my parents despite what happened last night then I will head out to school after.

Yet, when I arrived at the dining hall, there were only two people at the table eating their meals.

"Where's mom and dad?" I asked my brother who was eating his bacon but stopped to look at me.

"Sudden business trip. They will be gone for a month." He said, but a business trip again?

They are just simply avoiding us.

"Are you going to eat or what?" He now asked which snap me back to reality.

"No. I'll pass," I stated and was about to leave when my brother went towards me without notice.

"Are you usually like this in the morning?" He asked which made me frown.

"Ahhh duhhh. Isn't it obvious?" I asked sarcastically but all of a sudden, he pulled me to the table and made me sit down.

"Eat. Even if it's just two or three bites." He stated as he sat down on his chair but I couldn't understand why is he being so fed up right now. I was about to pick up my spoon when I realized that I was sitting right next to him... not my brother, him! He was so close and I can't help but feel the embarrassment creeping inside me again because of what happened so early in the morning.

"Do you not like eggs?" He asked all of a sudden which made me glance in his direction.

"A-Are you talking to me?" I asked surprised but he simply chuckled in return... enough to make me faint.

Damn!

He has such an amazing smile.

"I could eat them if you don't." He said referring to the eggs on my plate that was given by my brother, the moment he sat down.

"N-No. I like eggs." I said and started to eat them, he just smiled and eat once again.

After a minute or so, I have finally finished my meal and I took a glimpse at the clock. I never thought that I still have such a lot of time. I thought that I will be late a while ago but I guess not. I stood up from my seat and was about to finally leave when I froze because of a hand stopping me from doing so. I felt the hair all over my skin go up because I knew whose hand it was.

"Wait. I prepared some food for your lunch." Ethan said then come to realize that he wasn't removing his hand from mine which is why he quickly retracted it and looked at my brother who was just busy eating his food.

"I-If you like to bring it?" He asked to divert the atmosphere around us two.

"His food is amazing. You won't regret bringing it to school." My brother butted in right away, that is why I had no choice but to agree.

"Wait here." He said and hurriedly went to the kitchen to get my food. When he came back, he was holding onto it which was already in a bag. It looked so many... but I can't complain. He troubled himself to cook so, I will accept it gladly and eat it all.

"Thank you. I will be going now." I said smiling so widely and finally went out of the house without even glancing at my stupid brother who is still eating his food. When I came out of the house, I saw the car that I will be riding already in front that is why I came inside immediately and when I did, the driver eventually drove off to school.

Thirty minutes travel. That was all the time that it would take just to arrive at the Academy. It is a long minute drive but I enjoy it every day. When we stopped in front of the school gate, at last, I saw a lot of students waiting outside.

What could they be doing here?

I saw my driver head towards the side of the car and opened the door for me, I went out of the car after that and noticed Sherrie and Caroline that was parked just right next to me. They got out of their car and went toward me with wide smiles on their faces.

"You won't believe who transferred to our school," Sherrie said the moment she got near me and hold onto my arm.

"Who?" I asked wondering because I don't have any idea who the hell it is.

"It was the president son," Caroline said in return.

"President? Of what company?" I asked but they just laughed at me... but it only lasted for a quick second when they noticed that I wasn't joking at all and was seriously asking them.

"The president of the country," Sherrie said with a low tone in her voice. Yet, I don't have any idea who it was.

Just then, three cars parked in front of the school, and six men in total came out making way for the students who run towards them out of the blue. Then a guy came out of the car, making everyone squeal with excitement. There was the boy who they were waiting for...

"He is here!" Caroline squealed too but I didn't pay any attention and just proceeded to walk.

However, when I was about to go past them to head onto the gates, I was only pushed away by one of the bodyguards.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Sherrie shouted in surprise to see me on the ground. But, the bodyguard didn't even pay any attention to me and just continued to push away all of the students that were heading toward the man near the car.

I'm not even heading towards him, why bother pushing me?

I don't even give a damn to the person whom they are taking care of?

Even so, I didn't say it straight to their faces and just kept it within me.

I need to keep my composure or I will just ruin my image if I lose my s**t.

"If I were you, I will be apologizing," I said as I stood up and fixed my skirt. The bodyguard still didn't pay any attention to me which began to tick me off.

"Are you alright?" Caroline asked me but I didn't answer her and was about to walk away now. Yet, once again he pushed me for the second time. He is already doing it on purpose! But I still tried to go inside the school for the third time but now... someone stopped him from pushing me again.

"I didn't interfere because you are just doing your job but my Miss is already hurting." My driver said holding onto the arm of the bodyguard. He was surprisingly strong despite being an old man.

"No. Mr. Nick, you shouldn't get involved here," I said trying to get him back to the car because not only he is too old to fight with this bodyguard but also because he is smaller than him.

"Listen..." The bodyguard was about to talk but out of a sudden, a hand tapped his back, stopping him from talking anymore, and then, he moved to the right to make way for the person behind him.

"I'm sorry for what he had done. What can I do to pay for it in return? Oh. I mean how much money do I need to give you?" He asked which made me finally ticked off.

"Money doesn't resolve anything," I said pissed.

"An apology will do but I'm afraid it won't be necessary," I said sarcastically and passed to him, enough to make everyone around us become silent. I heard him laugh after that but I didn't care and just proceeded to walk.

"Why did you say that? You already had the chance to talk to him, why did you blow it away?" Sherrie said which made me stop walking.

"Didn't you see what just happened right there?" I asked in disbelief which made her shut up.

"And please... are you pairing me with that guy?" I asked and they nodded in return. I scoffed after realizing that.

"No. Please don't. It will never happen." I said laughing as I began to walk again.

"But why? He is perfect in every way." Sherrie kept on insisting.

"Look, Sherrie. If you like him, go for it. I won't stop you so please, enough!" I said calmly.

"Besides... I already like someone." I whispered quietly but they still heard me.

"WHAT? WHO?" They said in unison and that is when my day started... with these two pestering me the entire day to determine who the man was to be able to catch my attention.
