CHAPTER 2
"Ow." I groaned as I sat up, gripping my head, to see if it could ease the head ache.
"You sat up to quickly, child." An old woman spoke up, as she then rushed over to me and put a wet cloth over my forehead.
But I slapped it away as I tried to stand up. When I got up I felt my legs go wobbly, making me slump on the bed for balance.
"What the hell?" I gritted out as I examined my legs clearly.
"I found you in a ditch with cuts and bruises all over you. I surely thought the heavens claimed you." The old woman explained as she came and put a tray of food on the bed for me.
"Food." I mumbled as I started to eat, I was surprise from how I was eating. I didn't know I was this hungry.
I then looked up and observed the old woman closely.
"Who are?" I asked coldly, but she only chuckled as she gave me a smile.
"You certainly have one sharp tongue on you." She chuckled but then faced me with a serious look.
"People call me Bambi around here, dear." She replied with a soft smile.
"Here? And where exactly is here?" I asked confused.
"We're in the Northern Woods, although there are some human towns not far from here." Bambi explained.
"Northern?!" I asked shocked as I stood up to quickly, making me fall on the ground, landing on my knees.
"Oh dear, are you alright?" She asked worried, but I couldn't speak. I was too shock from the news.
My father's castle is in the South, how the hell did I end up in the Northern Woods? This is were all the rouges and retired wolves live.
I shouldn't be here.
"By the look on your face, I take it that you weren't from here, the North." Bambi replied with a sad tone, as she came beside me and helped me on the bed.
"Where did you find me?" I asked with my head low, as I felt I was on the verge from crying.
"I found you close by one of the human towns, in a ditch behind an old warehouse. I could sense the power of a strong pup, so I knew you were one of us." Bambi explained as she sat on an old chair beside me.
"And this." Bambi said as she looked around her house. "Is my home. A hollow tree in the middle of the Northern Woods."
I then looked around as everything looked enchanting, almost as if I was in those picture books my father gave me.
"How long have I been asleep for?" I asked, as my head still hanged low.
"You've been sleeping here for 3 days, although I feel that you were out longer in the ditch I found you in." Bambi replied sadly.
"Now, no more questions. A young female pup like yourself needs rest." Bambi then got up and grabbed the tray of food.
I then grabbed her forearm, making her halt in her process to exit the room and give me rest.
"Last question."
"Alright, then you must rest." Bambi sighed, I nodded to her terms.
"Do you know who I am?" I asked, hoping she would say no, so no more trouble will come towards me.
"No, you never gave me your name, although I never asked for it yet."
I then sighed as I smiled.
"It's Lily." I smiled softly before turning on my side and drifting off to sleep.
"Well, goodnight Lily." Bambi replied as I then heard the bedroom door close softly behind her footsteps.
