I hope it will make the family happy. “You’re going to burn everything?” he asked. I could hear his laughter waiting to get out. “Yup,” I said sarcastically. “That’s the best way, then there’ll be nothing for anyone to fight over.” “I appreciate what you did with Jussy’s clothes. So they’ll be used. I think your aunts will strut around with those designer labels and flash them in everyone’s face.” “Mom, too, huh, Grandpa?” “Yes, your mother, too. Did you keep anything for yourself or just let all those vultures peck at what they wanted?” “Yes, I kept a couple blouses, and two sweaters, and one pair of boots was all that fit me.”
