Life will aways knock you down. Now it’s up to you on how you get up and face another day with a smile. But I’m different. I am a one tough woman, or so my family has thought. I am the eldest among the three siblings and I need to be strong for them. “Cassieeeee!” A loud scream near my ear has awakened me that even the tiny cells had almost jumped out of my body. “The heck?!” I exclaim, while covering my ear with a pillow. “Wakey! Wakey!” I feel Anj is on the bed now. Jumping like a four-year old child. “Ugh! Will you stop?!” “Nope... Don’t get your butt off the bed and I will not stop either.” Anj is determined to get me off the bed as she continues jumping faster. “Anjeline Noelle Protius! I swear, if you keep doing that, I will throw you out of the window!” “Alright! Fine! Now, get up! We need to go to work early.” She holds my arms and I can feel her strong grip as she attempts to pull me up. “I’m not in the mood to go to work.” I told her and change my lying position. “Cassidy Lopez! Remember why we need this job. So better get up and take a shower.” I slowly lay on my back and look at her. “Ugh! Can I take a day off?” “No. You just got back from your off. Hurry! They need us early today.” “Why??” I sat on the bed with a scowling face. “I don’t know. But I heard from Joseph that there's a known billionaire who rented the entire place for his friends.” Billionaire? What’s new? I mentally scoff. “What's new, Anj? There are known billionaires in the club most of the time. Why do we have to be there this early?” Anj just answers me with a look as if I have four heads. “Do I really have to explain every detail?” She raises an eyebrow at me and that's my cue to get up. “Fine!” I force myself to move and head to the bathroom for a shower. "Hurry up!" I hear her before I totally close the bathroom door. Anj and I are currently working as waitresses in the StarVIP club. It’s a high end club that every day you get to see different personalities. Most of them are in the higher walks of life. Anj helped me to get a job in the StarVIP. She referred me to her boss. Luckily they needed two waitresses that time. I’ve been working there for eight months already. The salary is higher compared to the salary you get as a regular service crew in a fast food restaurant. Me and Anj are also sharing an apartment. Yesterday was my off, and I came back late last night as I stayed with my mother longer than I always do. I have two siblings and both are boys. They’re so much of a headache. Charles and Brix are so annoying. But they are responsible brothers. However, every time I visit them, their greetings are always about me getting a boyfriend. “Hey, Cassie...” “Yeah?” I turn off the shower so I can clearly hear her. “Hugo just called, and he wanted us to be there A.S.A.P. It's better to be there thirty minutes before our shift, most especially you.” My brows crease. “Why me?” “Well, you were picked as the main waitress for tonight’s event. He will explain once we get there. We need to hurry.” “Alright. I’m almost done here.” STARVIP CLUB... “Cassidy, your area is the Room 007. You must service that room only. Nothing else.” Says my boss, Hugo. He explains that the entire place will be occupied by VIPs for the entire night. A VIP billionaire by the name of Alexander Montavo rented this place for his friends. But I will only serve the room 007 while my workmates will serve the remaining rooms and tables. He assures me that I will get a huge tip and that excites me more. A huge tip will be a big help aside from the regular salary I always receive. Hugo also explains the reason I was chosen to be the main waitress to serve the VIP room. He had seen my work performance and he knew I would never do illegal or anything against the company's rules. I’m just quite surprised that he'd been observing me. “How did it go?” Anj comes in and quickly asks. “Well, all I can say is we need to do it right, Anj. Huge tip is coming our way!” I hold her hands as my excitement becomes more visible. The time has finally come and everyone buzzes to their own assigned area. I release a heavy sigh as I glance at the food and drinks on the Pushing Tray. But I make sure everything they requested earlier is on the tray before moving my feet towards the assigned area. “Okay! Room 007 here I come.” Loud music blasts and echoes in the hallway. I knock before I open the door and push the tray inside. Oh my god! Suddenly, my throats feels dry. I can't help but to get scared the way they look at me. They're like preys waiting for their victim. There are eight men staring back at me in total. Cassidy, you need the money. Hugo would never assign you here if he knew you’d be in danger. Secretly, I heave a deep sigh and put a smile. I casually place the food and drinks on the table. It’s a long table and it's enough to accomodate all of them. While serving them the drinks, the door opens, and another man walks in. Where on earth do they come from? I mentally ask as I secretly look at each of them. All are good-looking, most especially the one who just came in. I immediately divert my gaze as I continue to place their requested drinks one at a time. A few minutes later I notice that their topics become about business and s*x. I don’t mind listening to some of their unorthodox sexscapade though. Perhaps, they don’t mind me listening as well. Well, their voices are so loud and they are all aware that I'm here. “Miss! Another bottle of this." Another guy raises his hand holding the empty bottle. "Yes, sir." I quickly take the Hardy L’Ete Lalique Cognac Grande Champagne out and hands it to him. I hear some whistle as I refill their glasses. But I still keep it cool. "Thank you, beautiful." Says the good-looking guy who's smiling at me seductively. "You're welcome, sir." "Would you want to join us, beautiful?" "No, sir. Thanks." Still, keeping it cool though most of them give me a bad feeling. "How about you try this one? Don't be afraid. We're good guys." Another guy stands up and walks closer. "I have to decline the offer, sir." "That's enough, Moross!" Another guy stops him. "Alright!" Raising his both hands as he walks back to his seat. Their conversations wander to the trading business while I'm standing at the corner waiting for the last tray to finish so I can go out and get a new one. "Where's Alexander? He's not answering my call." Says the guy next to Moross. Alexander? So he's not here yet. "He's in the other room. He'll be here-" "Well, he's here now." Moross cut him off. All eyes are at the door that just opens and soon a man in tuxedo walks in Wow! So he's Alexander Montavo.. Our eyes meet as he greets his friends. I instantly avert my gaze. "What took you so long?" I hear his friend asks him. "Just had a few words with Hugo. So how's everyone?" Asks Alexander. Wait? Hugo?? Was he talking about my boss? I mentally ask. Another moments have passed and everyone in the room is back to their own business while drinking, except him. I'm still playing it cool as if his gaze doesn't affect me. Can't he stop staring at me? But then I hear him. "You. Come here." Alexander beckons me to come closer. I glance at the table to see if there are empty food and drinks. "Yes, sir." My heart is pounding real hard. You got this, Cassidy! "What is it- Oh my god!" He pulls me quick and places me on his lap. "Stay here, Moya Milaya." He grunts as if I'm his possession.
