And judging by the way her face had instantly scrunched up, I could tell she really didn’t want to talk to me. “Please.” Something stirred in her expression. “Fine.” My face perked up a little but she immediately held out a hand. “But before then, you’ll need to beat me in a match.” The other club members all seemed awed, making sounds of excitement. I couldn’t back down, not when all eyes were now expectantly on us. “Alright then.” I smiled. “A match it is.” She didn’t return the smile immediately, simply heading to the ring.
