DL 21: The War

Zion POV

I'm here at the beach and I can only feel pain and coldness in the air.

My warm tears started falling from my eyes. My chest is tightening and I'm not really sure about the real reason behind this feeling.

Vile completely vanished from my sight. I know that he is heading into the province.

After a second, I felt someone who hug my back...

"Zion, why did you let him go?"

Si Sandra pala ang yumayakap sa akin. I don't know what to say because I don't really understand this kind of feeling.

"He wants to join us. He wants to fight with us. Why did you let him go? Gusto lang naman niyang tumulong sa atin. Gusto lang naman niya na protektahan ka."

I can feel loneliness from her voice...

"I don't want him to go..."

My voice is cracking. I can't hide this sadness that I'm bearing.

"Every war, may namamatay na isang healer. It's the reason why they are hiding in province."

I took a deep breath before I continue speaking...

"I let him go not because I don't need him. I let him go because I want to protect him..."

I feel Sandra's hug tightened...

"I don't want to lose him. I don't want him to die..."

My chest is burning. This is my only way to protect Vile. He's so important for me. I don't want to lose a person who is so pure and kind like him.

"He wants to offer his life for you. He will never hesitate to die, for you," Sandra said in a cracking voice.

"I know... If he will join the war, there's a huge chance for his death."

"But if you die, he will also die because of the moon necklace that he gave to you. You know it right?"

I nodded... Lalong bumigat ang pakiramdam ko. Mahal na mahal ako ng tao na hindi ko kayang mahalin kagaya ng pagmamahal na binibigay niya.

"I know it... I should stay alive for him. Alam ko na dalawang buhay ang katumbas ko."

I held my moon necklace. I can feel a great power from it. It doubles my magic energy.

"I finally understand his real reason why he gave you that necklace," she said.

Humarap na lang ako kay Sandra. Nagtataka ako sa kanya...

"Vile gave me this because of his love, right? He gave me this to double my power," I said.

She shook her head...

"It's not just because of that. He gave you that necklace because he know that you don't care if you will die in a war just for our guild. He wants you to live. He wants you to value your own life. He wants you to survive that's why there is a connection between your lives with the help of that necklace," she said seriously.

He really love me that way? I adore him. He never value his own life just because of me. I feel burden on my chest. How should I repay for everything that he did to me?

"Alam mo, nahihiya ako kay Vile..."

Napatitig na lang ako kay Sandra. Her tears started falling from her eyes...

"Mahal na mahal ka kasi niya. He loves you more than I do. Kaya niyang gawin ang lahat para sa'yo. He has no means of holding back. Nahihiya ako sa kanya kasi alam ko na mas matibay ang pagmamahal na binibigay niya sa'yo kaysa sa kaya 'kong ibigay."

Umiiyak na si Sandra...

I wiped her tears using my hands. I don't want her to cry this much.

"Please Sandra, stop crying..."

I hug her tightly...

"It doesn't matter if he loves me more than you do. The more important thing is you're the one that I love. You have my heart, Sandra. Please, don't compare yourself to Vile because I love you more than him. He's just my friend but you're the one that I love," I said sincerely.

I held her cheeks and I looked into her eyes...

She's such a beautiful girl with a pure heart...

I moved my face closer to her...

I closed my eyes...

After a few seconds I felt her soft lips kissing mine...

Maya-maya ay kumalas na rin ako sa pagkakahalik ko sa kanya. She is just looking at me...

"I love you Sandra," I said sincerely.

She looked on her feet...

"I love you too Zion but this is not yet the right time for us. Hindi pa pwede na maging tayo. Hindi pa ito ang tamang panahon. Sana naiintindihan mo ako," seryoso niyang sabi.

I smiled a bit...

"I know and I understand. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali. I'm willing to wait for you to show your love for me."

I saw her lips curved. I'm glad that she is smiling because of what I've said.

She's one of a kind. She's the one that I love. I know that we are meant for each other.

"Zion, kung sakali man na magmahal ka ng iba, please tell me. Hindi naman ako magagalit. I know that someone deserves your love," she said sincerely.

I sigh...

"Please Sandra, I know that you just pity your bestfriend. Mind your own happiness. I know your real reason. Si Vile naman talaga ang dahilan kaya hindi mo ako magawang sagutin, diba?"

She nodded...

"Honestly, I want you to end up with him. I know that he will never leave you. He will serve you and love you for the rest of his life. I can feel that someday, you're gonna love him too..."

"You just feel it but you never saw it in your eyes, right?" I asked.

"Yes, there is something that blocking my power. Hindi ko makita ang future nating tatlo at hindi ko alam kung bakit. My power has a limit. I don't know what to do. Gustong-guto 'kong makita kung sino ang magkakatuluyan pero hindi ko magawa. Siguro, hindi pa talaga ito ang tamang oras para malaman ko ang lahat. We should enjoy what we have for now..."

I smiled because of what she said. She wants to assure the future. She wants to show that she is caring for me and her bestfriend.

Bigla na lang kaming nakarinig ng malakas na pagsabog kaya nagulat kaming dalawa.

"Hey! What's that?" She asked nervously.

We saw a huge blast of pink light on the sky.

"It's Wanda!" I shouted.

We saw some sorcerers who are running. They're from Ruvekha! Sinusugod nila ang guild namin!

Wanda is flying in the air and she is casting a spell. She's glowing with a black and pink light in the sky.

"Dectus Milez Arlisse Dactures Dasitatio!"

Suddenly, monsters made of trees were summoned by Wanda. They are fighting the sorcerers from Ruvekha.

Her power is really awesome!

It looks like she is not yet done casting her spell...

"Extrevious Hexus Dreconous!"

Wanda released a massive black and pink magic energy from her body. Her body features are changing drastically.

She transformed into a dragon!

Tumayo ang balahibo ko. She's amazing! Lumakas na rin pala ang kapangyarihan niya ng sobra. She can defeat a group of sorcerers in just one blow!

Plants and rocks are shaking and we saw Jester and Dexter who are fighting dark sorcerers.

A huge blast blue fire was released from above.

"Rage of the fire phoenix!"

We saw Rex who blocked the blast of blue fire. His body was covered with flames. He looks furious and quite strong!

Nandito na ang mga kalaban. Hindi ko inakala na ngayon sila susugod. Mabuti na lang talaga at nakaalis na si Vile.

"We should help them!" Sandra shouted.

She raise her hands in the air as she release a huge sky blue magic circle.

She changed her clothes into an armor.

I looked in the sky and a black jet light is approaching.

Sandra pointed her finger and a huge blast of sky blue energy was released from her finger. The black jet light turned into smoke and vanished in the air.

Sandra is extremely strong...

Now, it's my turn to fight! I held my moon necklace. I'm so lucky to have this amulet.

I jump so high above the sky and I saw everyone who are fighting with each other. I can see different colors of light and dark magic blasts on the ground.

I released a silver magic energy from my body and my clothes changed into an angelic armor.

I also released a silver magic circle at my back and...

"Angel wings!"

White feathers fell on the ground after my wings were released. Now, I'm ready to fight with them!

I balled my hands into fists and I put it together on my mouth. I face the direction where sorcerers from Ruvekha are approaching.

"Angel's trumpet!"

A huge waves of silver energy was released. My spell hit the ground. The land is shaking and cracking because of my attack. Almost all dark sorcerers were depleted.

"I never know that you are this strong, Zion."

I look around and I saw someone who is flying in the air. I look at him furiously. He's the guy who attacked Vile at the park.

"Who are you?" I asked furiously.

"I'm Carl... I'm also a Saint like you."

He raised his hands and it looks like he is casting a spell. The air around me turned hot.

I feel something on my chest I looked at my necklace. It is glowing in a golden light. I'm not really sure about what is happening.

I looked at my enemy and it looks like his spell is not working.

"Hey! Why can't I control your breath?" He asked curiously.

That's it! He is trying to hold my breath just like what he did to Vile at the park but the moon necklace is blocking his dark spell.

"I'm not the one that you can defeat! Maybe, were both Saints but you're no match for me!" I said firmly.

"You're delusional if you think that way! Let me try this one!"

He is casting a spell again. Wind is surrounding him and his eyes are glowing with a dark light.

He's pretty strong... I know that he's so serious in this battle. He won't hesitate to kill me.

"Gathering the wind from heaven, allow me to destroy my enemy: Sky Drill!"

He released a huge tornado and it is approaching directly on my direction. I crossed my hands and I tried to block his spell.

Suddenly, I felt the tornado crossed my body. I felt pain but not too much.

He is just looking at me. He looks nervous and shivering in fear.

"W-why are you still flying? I fired one of my great spells! Dapat tumumba ka na at naghihingalo!"

Takot na takot siya habang nagsasalita.

"It's because I am this strong!" I said firmly.

Kita ko na napalunok siya dahil sa sinabi ko. Doble na ngayon ang kapangyarihan ko.

"Kung ganun, iba na lang ang gagawin ko..."

He is casting a spell again...

The warm air is surrounding the whole Kreterra. I look around to see what's happening.

"Z-Zion! We can't breathe!"

I saw a dragon who fell on the ground. She turned back into her human form. I look around and I saw Sandra who is also catching her breath.

"Now, I am controlling their lives! No one can beat Ruvekha!" He said while laughing.

Lalo akong nagalit dahil sa sinabi niya. I will teach him a lesson that he will never forget!

"I am asking for the energy of my surroundings..."

Everything is glowing in a silver light as I summon the energy from nature and spirits.

"W-What are you doing?" He asked nervously.

"I ask for power... I ask for holiness..."

The silver light is surrounding the whole guild. They are just looking at me. This is one of my great spells.

"I am devouring darkness around me."

"I am the ruler of the heaven..."

I will remove all his darkness with this one attack...

"Stop it!" He shouted.

He is attacking me with sharp wind but he will never stop me from casting this spell.

"Holy devastation!"

An overwhelming holy silver magic energy was fired into him. I can hear that he is screaming in pain. Everything was surrounded with my holy magic.

After a few seconds, I saw him falling on the ground. He looks powerless; lifeless...

"Carl!"

A group of sorcerers are running into him. I think they are his friends.

"You will pay for this!" A sorcerer shouted on me.

"Zion! Help us!"

I look on the other side and I am in shock! All of my friends can't move their body. It looks like they were stopped in time.

I saw Aki who is controlling them. I put my hand on his direction. I should stop him!"

"Holy-"

I felt someone who attacked on my back. Napahinto ako sa spell ko at tumalsik ako pababa sa lupa.

I look in the sky and its Nelson who attacked me. Bumangon na lang ako at nagpagpag. Lumapag na siya sa harapan ko. I look at him furiously.

"You will pay for what you did to one of our Saints!" He shouted.

He raised his hands in the air and everyone can't move!

"Z-Zion..."

I looked at Sandra and she is screaming in pain. Everyone are screaming in pain.

"Look at them, Zion. Aki and I are controlling them!"

They are both laughing. I should do something!

I started casting a spell but a shadow in front of me fired a dark energy. Tumilapon tuloy ako palayo.

Nagsisigawan ang lahat ng sorcerers sa Kreterra at isa-isa silang nawawalan ng malay.

"It looks like our spells are not working on you but still, you can't beat us all!"

Napapalibutan na ako ng mga makapangyarihang sorcerers na mula sa Ruvekha. They are all mad at me.

I look at my friends and they are all laying on the ground. They look drained; powerless.

"We're gonna make you pay for this, Zion."
