Kaisha rushed back to the hall after a few moments inside the bathroom. She had cried her frustration out to Auntie Fatima. She heard her aunt’s sobs the moment she stepped out of the office. Despite her anger, she couldn’t help but feel a tug of pity. She tried to make sense of what her aunt had done. She still refused to believe that Fatima was using her, but deep down, Kaisha knew the truth. Fatima had used the money. How much had she spent, she wondered. Could she pay it back?
