Chapter 11

My mind is in chaos again. Geez!

Bakit ba kasi niya sinabi ang bagay na iyon kahapon? Does he likes me?

"Pres! May nagbubugbugan na naman sa park." sigaw ni Clent na nagpatigil sa akin sa pag-iisip tungkol sa sinabi ni Luke kahapon.

Sa halip, napakunot noo ako dahil sa inimporma ni Clent. May nagbubugbugan na naman sa Park? Bakit ba sa Park lagi naiis--wait.

Park?

Hindi kaya...

HINDI KAYA SI LUKE NA NAMAN ANG INVOLVED SA GULONG IYON?

When i thought that Luke might be the one involved on the fight again, i immediately stand and run towards the location. My heart is filled with annoyance. Ang akala ko pa naman unti-unti nang mawawala ang pagiging bad boy niya. And now, it looks like i'm just assuming.

Mas binilisan ko ang pagtakbo, hanggang sa makarating ako sa hallway na dadaanan patungong Park. Malayo palang, nakikita ko na naman ang kumpulan ng mga estudyante.

Just like the first time.

I'm shaking my head while still running, until i finally reached my destination. I quickly pushed side by side those person who block my way. Until i'm finally at the front.

I ready myself to shout and scold Luke, when i see another faces infront of me.

There are two guys infront of me, and they're groping each other's neckline while glaring at me.

Oh.

Akala ko involve si Luke sa gulong ito, pero mukhang hindi ata. Mukhang nagkakamali ako.

I gulped, before i sharply look at those two students.

"Student Council office. Now." seryoso at may halong pananakot sa boses ko. Ilang beses na din akong nakaka-encounter ng gulo, at nasasanay na ako. Kaya lang minsan, nakakapang-init na din talaga ng ulo e.

The guy on the left, whose wearing our school uniform, let go the neckline of the guy—who's also looking at me murderously.

"Wag ka 'ngang makialam Ms. President." the guy answered me blatantly and coldly. Then he showed me his middle finger, as he uttered a curse—for me.

I shut my eyes, then when i opened it, i quickly grab the man's arm and i was about to twist it when the other guy suddenly pull me and tie me up using his both hands. My back is facing him.

"Let me go!" i hissed, but the guy keep on holding me tightly, to the point that i can't even move any muscle.

I heard a loud reactions from the people around us, but there's no one trying to stop them. With that, i silently cursed.

Fvck!

Bat ba 'to nangyayari sa akin?

“Let go of her if you want to live longer.”a voice behind us, made me open my eyes. That deep baritone voice, i knew the person who owned that. Luke.

I saw the guy infront of me stilled, when the guy who was holding me earlier stiffened then he slowly let go of my hand. At duon lang ako nakahinga ng maluwag. Mabilis akong lumayo dun sa lalaki, at lumipat sa lugar na malapit kay Luke. Still, the nervousness is there. I can still feel it.

“I--were s-sory, Luke”halata ang panginginig sa boses ng lalaki, kaya naman tinignan ko ito at napakunot-noo ako nang makitang namumutla ito sa takot, habang nakatingin kay Luke. Habang ang isang lalaki naman na siyang nagmura sakin, ay tahimik lamang habang nakayuko.

While looking at them, para silang mga tupa na madaling napasunod ng amo nila. Nang maisip ko ang bagay na iyon, inilipat ko ang tingin ko kay Luke. Is he really that scary to the point na andali niyang napasunod ang dalawang lalaking ito?

I immediately look away,when Luke suddenly turn his attention to me. “Are you okay?”he ask. He sounds worried. Again.

I nodded, “Yeah. Thank you”

“No need to say that”he said, then he looked again at those men. “You two. Say sorry to her, and promise her and everyone that you'll change from now on.”

The eyes of the two mens instantly widened. “W-what?”

Luke frowned. “Ayaw mo?”may bahid ng pagbabanta sa boses nito, na mukhang narinig nang lalaki dahil napayuko ito at sunud-sunod ang naging paglunok.

“I'm sorry and i promise”the one who held me earlier said.

“Me too. I promise, and i'm sorry Ms. Montibañez”the other one professed.

I nodded at them, then i glanced at Luke, na kasalukuyang nakatingin din sa akin.

“Can you help me bring these two to the detention room?”

He nods, and smiled. “Sure”then he held those mens at the neckline of their Polo's and pull them. Habang ako, nakanganga dahil unang beses ko siyang makitang ngumiti na nandito kami sa school.

“You'll stay here for 2 hours. Make sure na maaayos nyo ang issues niyo sa isa't isa. Try to compromise. Hindi sa lahat ng bagay, sapakan at bugbugan ang solusyon.”i scolded those two mens, while we're here at the Detention room.

Mas mabuti nang sa Detention muna sila, para iwas record. According sa Guidance, this is the first time that these two violated the school rules. Hindi sila napapasama nuon sa gulo, talagang ngayon lang. And according to Clent, they are friends.

Then why would they hurt each other if they are friends?

“Iwan na natin sila. I think, they need to talk about something.”Luke mumbled, then i felt his hand touches my arm, then held it. “We have to talk about something”at hindi na niya hinintay pa ang sagot ko. Basta na lang niya akong hinila palabas,hanggang makarating kami sa Park at naupo sa isa sa mga benches duon.

I sat there, while he sat on the space behind me.

“Anong something ang pag-uusapan natin?”i ask.

He stared at me, then he sigh.

“I..”he paused.

I frowned.

“You what?”

“I..”napakamot ito sa batok nito na animo'y nahihiya ito sa sasabihin nito. Tinaasan ko naman siya ng kilay. “Ano ba talagang sasabihin mo?”naiinis na tanong ko naman.

Kanina pa kasi niya hindi matuloy-tuloy ang sasabihin niya at nakakairita na. Hindi na lang niya sabihin agad diba para matapos na. Aish!

He tsked. “I want to date you”he said, then he look straightly in my eyes.

Unti-unting nanlaki ang mata ko nang maintindihan ko na ng tuluyan ang sinabi niya. A-ano daw?

Wala sa sariling naituro ko ang sarili ko. “G-gusto mo a-akong i-date?”

He nods, then he put his hand inside his pocket. “Yeah”

Napayuko ako 'nun, habang napapalunok ng ilang ulit. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa sinasabi niya. Gusto niya akong i-date? Bigla? Bat naman niya ako ide-date??

“Hindi ka naniniwala?”he ask, that made me look at him again.

I bit my lower lip, as i take a deep breaths.

“It's not that i don't believe you.”i paused. “Kaya lang, bakit? I mean...bakit mo ako ide-date?”i asked and look straightly in his eyes.

He frowned at me. “Bakit? Masama 'bang i-date ka?”he asked, and i can hear a tone of annoyment in his voice.

I shook my head. “No, but for you to date me, you should have a reason”

“Is having a reason necessary?”

I nodded. “Yes.”

“No”

I glared at him. “It is necessary. Look, why will you date someone if you don't have any feelings towards her”i professed.

He sighed.

“Kelangan ba may nararamdaman ako para sayo para lang mai-date ka?”

I cross my arms. “Oo”

“Fine. I like you”

My mouth formed an 'o'

“What? You what?”

“I like you”

“Really?”

“Yes”

“You're just joking.”i mumbled.

“I'm not”

“Hindi ako naniniwala sayo”

He blows a deep breath. “Ano ba naman! Sabi mo, dapat may rason ako kung bakit gusto kitang i-date. Ngayon naman na nagbigay na ako ng rason ko, hindi ka naman naniniwala”

“Eh hindi ka naman kasi kapani-paniwala”

“At bakit naman hindi naging kapani-paniwala 'yon?”

Pinanlakihan ko naman siya ng mata.

“Syempre, hindi mo naman ako kilala. At hindi din kita ganun kakilala, tapos ide-date mo ako. Ayoko nga!”

He stared at me for a long time, before looking away and sighed.

“Kilala kita, ako lang ang hindi mo kilala”

I frowned again. What did he mean by that?

“A-anong ibig mong sabihin?”

He remained silent for awhile, at ganun din naman ako. Walang nagsasalita sa aming dalawa, hanggang sa siya na ang bumasag ng katahimikan.

Tinignan niya ako—mata sa mata.

“I like to date you. At hindi ka pwedeng humindi”he said, then he left me alone.
