Chapter 3

"YOU got me hooked baby.”

Agad siyang lumabas nang tuluyan sa office pero narinig ko pa ang sinabi niya. What a wicked woman.

“Pucha! Ang pogi niya parin! Kainis!”

I laughed hard. Jeez! That woman is something. Her luscious lips are really inviting but hell! I’m not going to kiss her. Baka ma-bad shot pa ako at ma-disappoint si junjun. And f**k it! Just tracing her lower lip makes me hard down there.

Gano’n ang epekto niya sa’kin! She's really a witch.

“Hey brother. You look like an idiot.” It’s Jakobe. Hindi ko namalayan na nakapasok na pala siya sa opisina ko.

“You! How did you know her?!” agad kong tanong nang maalala ko na kilala niya si Aira. Hindi pwede iyon. I saw her first and it means that she's mine. I need to f*****g taste anything that woman has.

“I have my ways. Want me to remind you my work?”

Oh hell! How can I forgot? He’s a f*****g retired Navy SEALs and the owner of YSA or Ybañez Security Agency. And why he’s here? Because I ask his help about my problem.

“Jakobe stop flirting with Aira. She’s mine.”

“I know.”

“What do you mean?” I asked him.

Umiiling-iling siya habang nakangiti nang mapait. “Nothing." Nilapag niya anh folder sa table ko. "The information about the sudden anomaly from your company is inside that folder. Ikaw na ang bahala diyan dahil may babantayan pa ako.” Umalis na siya agad at sumaludo lang sa akin.

I nodded as an answer. Maasahan talaga ang baog na ‘yon. After reading and spending almost one hour processing the files that Jakobe gave to me. All I can see is red. I gritted my teeth. I’m so f*****g mad right now.

My blood is boiling from anger. How could he do this to me? I trusted him so f*****g much, pero puta! Ninanakawan na pala ako?!

I heard someone open the door. Sisigawan ko na sana ang pumasok pero agad ding umurong ang dila ko. She was standing at the center of this room. Her presence calm every bit of my senses.

Parang nawala lahat ng galit at inis ko nang ngumiti siya sa akin. How can she easily change my mood by just staring at me? Unti-unti siyang lumapit sa table ko at nilapag ang i-ilang folder na hawak nito saka nagsalita.

“Sir Nicolai. Ito po ang mga pina-encode sa akin. Ang sabi dalhin ko dito.”

I can’t speak. I’m too mesmerize by her eyes to notice how her forehead knot. “Sir?”

“C-can you smile?”

Am I look dumb? Tangina! Tanungin ko ba naman  kung pwede ba siyang ngumiti eh. I feel that her smile will lighten up my day. Ang corny ko but hell! It’s the truth.

Unti-unti siyang ngumiti sa akin. Her smiles turned into laughter. A one sweet laughter. I’m willing to pay billions just to hear that laugh and giggle. Tuluyan na nga akong kumalma. My blood seems fine now. I don’t feel mad. The mere fact that this woman can calm the s**t out of me, is truly unexpected.

“Nakakatawa ka sir.. Diyan ka na nga.” Tatawa tawa pa itong umalis sa harap ko.

“Aira..”

Lumingon siya sa’kin at naghihintay ng kung anong sasabihin ko. Her almond shape eyes looks so perfect. It shows a lot of emotion. Umiling ako nang makaramdam ng kakaiba. This can't be, I just met her. Hindi ko siya gusto, yes, I lust her. I f*****g lust her, but no, hindi ko siya gusto.

And I need to stop. I don’t know her. Paano kung kapareho lang siya ni Hanna? Paano kung mawala na naman lahat ng meron ako dahil nagpadala ako sa damdamin ko?

“Nothing. You may leave.”

I sighed. This is so weird. The feeling of being near to her makes me feel the unnamed emotion. I hope it wouldn't come that far.

It was Keith. The self proclaimed Casanova which is partly true. Ang motto niya ay “There are billion of women and I’m gonna taste them all.” How gross is that?

We’re busy talking about some random stuff when Jes Armione came in kasunod nito si Jakobe. My older brothers. Armione is married but her wife is missing while Jakobe is nah! Don’t mind him.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“To give this to you.” Padabog na nilapag niya ang folder sa harap ko at agad ko itong binasa.

“Listen Nicolai, You are not a teenager anymore. Gano’n ka ba ka busy sa buhay mo para hindi mapansin ang anomalya sa kumpanya mo.” His eyes quickly turned into a raging fire. Napatayo na lahat dahil mukhang wala siyang sasantuhin. Unti-unti narin silang nagsilaisan at kaming tatlo na lang ang natira.

“Armione gumagawa ako ng solusyon sa problema ng kompanya ko.”

“May I remind you, Nicolai.” He leaned lower. "Kay Mommy ang kompanyang ito."

“This is my company too. Since ako ang nagmana. Kung may problema man ako ang lulutas. You don’t have to barge yourself here and act as if I’m gonna let MY company fall.” I closed my fist and stop myself from answering him again. He still the older one here.

But bullshit! It’s been years nang nangyari ang insidenteng ‘yon, I know and I admit that it was all my fault pero tangina naman. Wala ba akong karapatan magbago? I paid all the consequences already. I lost Armione trust and at the same time I lost him too.

“You have to make a step to stop this anomaly. You don’t know how hard for me to trust you and let you handle the company. Prove yourself again and you will gain my trust back.” And he left.

“Nicolai pag pasensyahan mo na si Kambal. Alam mo namang hirap na hirap na ‘yon kakahanap sa asawa niya kaya grumpy.” Jakobe said while grinning like an idiot.

Sighed.

May magagawa ba ako? I need to find that thief as soon as possible. Tiwala ni Armione ang nakasalalay dito. I closed my eyes and the memories from the past appeared as if it happened yesterday.

“A-anak umuwi na tayo..”

Nanginginig ang mga kamay ko habang nagmamaneho. I just want to get rid of the police. They were chasing me!

“Shut up!”

“A-anak ihinto mo na ito. I promise you. I..I won’t let them touch you.”

“M-mama.. I didn’t kill her.. You believe me right?” tanong ko sa kaniya. She was crying.

“Yes baby. I..I believe you. Stop the car anak..”

I believe her. I tried to stop the car but it didn’t stop. Binalot ako ng takot at kaba nang maisip kong walang preno ang sasakyan namin. Putangina!

Pagewang-gewang ang sasakyan namin hanggang tuluyang itong mahulog sa bangin. My mom looked horrified. Sumabit ang sasakyan namin sa isang malaking bato. “N-nicolai baby.. Lumipat ka sa backseat.. Try to be gentle anak.. Sige na lipat na..”

I followed her. Lumipat ako sa backseat and I tried to stay calm as I could. Lumingon ako kay mama. “Now.. Open the right door and get out..”

“N-no mama.. “

“Come on baby. Susunod ako.. B-be careful okay? I love you so much anak. Mommy believes you.”

“I..I love you too mom..” Tumango si mommy at ngumiti. I was scared as hell habang binubuksan ang pinto ng backseat. Nadulas ang paa ko sa unang tapak ko sa bato. f**k!

“C-careful anak..” narinig kong sabi ni mommy.

As soon as I stepped out of it. Our car fell. I was stunned and I can’t move.

“M-mama..” I was just standing there. Trying to wake myself up from this nightmare.

“N-no!..”

Napabalikwas ako ng gising nang may tumapik sa akin. My breathing was heavy. I’m sweating and my hands are shaking too. Nightmares again. I missed my mom so much. Hinilamos ko ang kamay ko at nanatili sa ganoong posisyon. Mapait akong napangiti nang maalala kung paano ako kamuhian ni Armione that time. He punched me countless time, he didn’t believe imn me. He let me paid for the crime I didn’t do.

I was seventeen years old that time. I’m not capable of doing such things. Putangina! After what happened my memories after the incident became blur. Maybe because my brain refuse to remember and because of the depression I experienced too.

Wala na nga akong maalaala sa nakaraan ko though the incident remained clear. Kung ano pa iyong ayaw mo maalala. Iyon pa ang malinaw sa isip mo.

Nilingon ko ang tumapik sa akin at bumungad si Levi na nakangisi. I raised my brow and push him away from me. Kairita talaga ng mukha nh hambog na 'to.

"Hey! Nagusot damit ko!" aniya at tumayo.

I rolled my eyes. Nakatulog ata ako dahil sa kalasingan ko. "Where's the other?"

Levi smirks.

"They went home already,"saad niya at tumungo sa pinto.

"Bakit ka nakangisi?" naiiritang sabi ko.

He laughed hard.

"Napagalitan si baby boy!" pang-aalaska niya sa akin. Mabilis siyang lumabas ng private room.

Inis naman akong umupo at dinampot ang bote ng alak saka tinungga iyon. I maybe a failed man. I maybe a fucker, an asshole, a douche bag. But I'll prove them wrong.

Na kahit gago ako, hindi ko pabayang tao.
