“Bakit naman kasi ganon ka pumatol?!” reklamo ni Kailani.

“Eh kayo nga itong umuna eh. Itong si Kali sinabihan pa si Wylie na guto niya bang mamatay. Ginaya ko lang,” reklamo ko naman.

“Hindi naman ako humawak sa kanya eh, iba ang ginawa mo Cygnus,” reklamo ni Kali.

“T-T-Teka lang, huminahon kayong tatlo,” singit ni Nieve

“PAANONG HUMINAHON EH NANDITO TAYO SA STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICE?!” Kali and Kailani shouted in chorus. As of now, nandoon sa separate room sina Wylie at ang partner niya para walang away sa tuwing may magaganap na interview at ako ang sinisisi nila kung bakit kami nandito ngayon.

“Sino kaya ang unang pumatol? Si Kailani,” reklamo ko.

“Oh? Sino kaya ang nang-alok talaga ng away?! Si Kali!” reklamo naman ni Kailani.

“Ah talaga?! Sino kaya sa atin ang nag-umpisa sa physical contact?! Ako ba?! Ikaw!” reklamo naman ni Kali habang tinuturo ako.

“I said calm down!!!!” Nieve shouted. We all froze, like literally froze. It was as if our veins turned into ice. Hindi man lang kami makapagsalita. He took a deep breath at nawala na ang cold sensation na naramdaman namin. “Kumalma na ba kayo?” he asked with a warm smile at dahan-dahan kaming umayos ng upo.

“Hindi ko pala nasabi,” Kali whispered. “Nieve is a monster when he’s angry,” he added. Wow Kali, nakakatulong ang tip mo. Sobrang aga mong sinabi, grabe.

“May sinabi ka Prince Kali?” Nieve asked with a sarcastic smile at agad umiling si Kali.

“H-Ha? Wala. Nakipagbati lang,” Kali replied with a nervous smile and he looked away.

Biglang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok ang dalawang S Class students na nakatitig sa amin kanina. They were there pero wala silang ginawa. May kasalanan rin kaya sila. Tapos ito, isa-isa kaming iinterviewhin para ano? Insultohin rin? Nako galit pa ako, pag ako o si Kailani ininsulto- walang President President at S Class S Class dito, talagang susulong ako.

Gin walked forward at unang umupo sa harap namin, sumunod naman kaagad si Tempest pagkatapos umupo ni Gin. I see that he really respects his brother. Their relationship is the exact opposite of Kali and Kailani’s relationship, although Kali cared for Kailani that much, hindi naman niya pinapakita.

“So,” Gin said with a deep voice and opened a folder. Hindi pa kami nakapasa sa school na ito pero nandito na kaagad kami para sa first offense namin. Royalties pa naman kami. “According to Wylie, you guys threatened him,” he added and he stared directly to me.

“Not only that, one of you planned to poison him,” Tempest added at napatingin siya sa akin. “The peculiar thing here is that, he holds a spirit royalty which wields the most poisonous power of all plants.” he added with a smirk. “Not to mention that it was the previous spirit of the late Spirit Martial,” he added again and his smirk vanished.

“One of you is also wielding, if I’m not mistaken, a new breed Dragon. Halatang-halata sa mata kanina,” Gin added and he flipped one paper from the folder.

“And the other one has the strongest spirit from the Redtail Family, the Panther if I’m not mistaken,” Tempest added and Gin flipped another paper once more.

“Lastly, on of you holds a rare ice spirit, the Snow Leopard,” Gin added at sabay silang ngumiti. Why are they smiling?

“I wonder what kind of punishment will we give them, Kuya,” Tempest said at napalunok ako. Hindi ba kami makakapasok sa school na ito? Sayang naman yung training namin na muntikan na talaga kaming mamatay.

“A dragon scale from a magic forest will do,” Gin replied at nagtinginan kaming tatlo.

“Sinong humawak sa scale?” tanong ni Kailani.

“We were both unconscious back then,” I added.

“Oh, the one the you guys are holding?” Kali asked while pointing at us at sabay kaming tumango.

“Nieve, where was it?” Kali asked.

Nieve extended his hand and a black portal appeared. He placed his hand inside and took the dragon scale na nakuha namin during training. Binigay ni Nieve sa akin ang blue scale at tinitigan ito. I’ve never seen this scale this close and this clear, maybe because back then, I was too weak to watch it. 

I raised the scale at binigay ko kay Gin.

“Will this scale do?” I asked and he smiled.

“I was just kidding,” he said. “But I can’t believe you are holding one. What a scary group,” he added and he rested his face on his palm while his elbow rested on the table . “A perfect contestants for Mahika Tournment,” he added at nagtinginan ulit kaming tatlo. Did I just heard Mahika Tournament constants? Or Did I just mistakenly hear that?

“What?” tanong ni Kali.

“Pass this entrance exam and all of you will be one of our choices na pwede naming isama sa Mahika Tournament,” Gin replied and closed the folder. “For 20 years, after the Spirit Martial Vanished, Agartha has been the weakest in All Stars Tournament. This year is our last year therefore I want my last year in this school to be memorable but in order to do that, I need to get that All Star Trophy once again,” he added.

“U-Um, with all due respect Your Highness, we are here because of the incident kanina. Hindi po para sa Mahika Tournament,” singit ni Nieve.

“We know,” Tempest replied. “We just sent Wylie to the basement to get his punishment. We saw it all. We don’t need lies since we saw it ourselves.” he added.

“S-So the reason you called us here is … about the … Mahika Tournment?” I asked at kumunot ang noo ni Gin.

“This Ice guy seemed to know respect but not you,” he said coldly. s**t, I forgot to address him. Lumaki kasi ang ulo ko. Ayan resulta yan sa pure breed royalty shits na natutunan ko.

“I-I-I’m sorry, Your Highness,” sagot ko at umiwas ng tingin.

“There’s no way a fake royalty can do that,” Tempest said. “Well, unless if that fake royalty is faking it,” he added and he stared at me.

“You’re no fake royalty, aren’t you?” Gin asked at napalunok ako. Ano ba? Sasabihin ko ba?

“G-Galing po ako sa Gambier Island. Malabo pong nagpapanggap lang ako bilang fake royalty,” sagot ko.

“Gambier Island huh?” Gin said with an accomplished smile. “Did you know that the late Spirit Martial’s previous home before he was founded is Gambier Island?” he asked at nanigas ako. Oops putang ina, wrong move yata ang sinabi ko.

I slowly glanced at Kailani at umiling siya habang nakangiti. Sige na Kailani, sabihin mo na. Sabihin mo na kung gaano ako kabobo. I glanced at Kali and he nervously glanced at me like he was telling me something like ‘are you serious?’ . Nieve beside him was about to laugh.

Napatingin ulit ako nina Gin and he was smiling at me.

“The son of previous Spirit Martial,” Gin said at tumayo siya. Napatayo ako dahil sa kaba at aalis na sana ako sa Student Council Office. The door vanished at pati na ang mga bintana. Seriously?! Are you kidding me?!!

“Stay still,” Gin whispered. How the hell did he get here? Malayo lang siya sa akin kanina. All I did was glance and in just one second, bakit nandito na siya sa tabi ko?!

Kailani suddenly popped up in between us at napaatras si Gin.

“A possessive partner huh?” Gin said and Tempest suddenly appeared beside him.

“If I’ll touch your brother, will that be okay too?” Kailani asked

“I guess that’s a different story,” Gin replied.

“You did not just whispered to him, you almost poisoned him to turn him into stone,” Kailani replied at tumayo na sina Kali.

“I guess that’s a different story indeed,” singit ni Kali.

Gin chuckled and he clapped.

“Alam kong malakas ka Kailani since we were kids but I didn’t expect you to notice it,” he said with a grin. “Isa pa, I was just testing his tolerance against poison.” he added.

“Syempre meron siya niyan, he’s like you,” Kailani replied.

“I doubt.” Tempest replied and he tilted his head. “From what I see, he’s more into healing. His poison is not deadly. Sayang nga eh, sa maling paraan ginamit. The Queen of Poisons is not that poisonous pala. How dis appointing,” he added at kumunot ang noo ko.

“Are you mocking me?” I asked coldly and my vision turned purple.

“What if I am?” he asked.

My vines appeared behind him and it formed into a bird cage at napunta sila sa loob.

“Well, well, well,” Gin said and he touched my vines. “You’re a creative one. Who would have thought that vines can be cages,” he added and my eyes widened when my vines turned into stone. It cracked and immediately fell down to the ground. “Mahina nga lang,” he added again with a smile. “Kulang ka pa sa timpla but once you get the right magic molecules amount, you’ll be as strong as the Spirit Martial,” he added once again.

“Do you now get why I’m mocking you?” biglang tanong ni Tempest. “Or did I really mock you?” he asked again. “Maybe it’s hard for you to accept the truth but you’re not suit at poisoning,” he added.

“Then good.” tipid kong sagot.

“So let’s get back to business,” Gin said. “Choose. Be one of our choices or I will directly fail you in the entrance exam. We’re one of the judges, just so you know,” he added.

“Blackmail at its finest,” reklamo ni Kailani.

“Choose,” Tempest said coldly at nagtinginan kaming apat. As if we really have a choice.

“Fine. Just don’t tell anything about me being the son of the previous Spirit Martial,” reklamo ko pero wala silang sinabi.

“With all due respect,” singit ni Kali at napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya. “I know you are stronger than me but I am telling you this not as an entrance examinee but as the Prince of Mainland Agartha,” he added and he stepped forward. “Wala kong pakialm kung anong suspetsa nila but if the rumors have been confirmed, wala akong ibang sisihin kung hindi kayo,” he added again. “Hindi niyo alam kung anong kaya kong gawin. Just so you know.” he added again.

Gin and Tempest smiled. “Of course, Your Highness,” the replied.
