"Another round,"

WHAT?!

"Sir, we just ran 10 mil--" putol kong sabi when our trainer slapped his latigo to the ground.

"Your Highness, another round," he said with a smile.

Napatingin ako kay Kailani na nakahiga na talaga sa sahig. I hurriedly grabbed his shoulders pataas while he was catching his breath.

"Stand up, stupid! You'll never catch your breath when you lie down!!" I shouted habang hinihila siya pataas.

"I ... I ... I wanna ... die rather ... doing anot...her ro...und..." he said at nabitawan ko na siya dahil sa bigat niya. I glanced at our trainer and he was nodding and signalling me to do another round but we have to do this by pair kasi sabi nga niya we're partners and supposedly, we'll do missions by pair.

I think it was a bad idea to call for a personal trainer when in fact we only have around four days till the entrance exams. I don't actually know if we'll do well but we have to- for his dream and for my answers. We have to move forward together even if we don't have the same goal because at the end of the day, it's us who will be facing it together.

"Get a hold of yourself! Kailani!" I shouted and grabbed him again but my energy was already draining down. Napaupo na rin ako sa sahig at hinawakan ko na ang buhok niya. "You know he'll never stop unless we'll do this together so get the hell up!!" I shouted again and grabbed his hair.

I heard faint laughs and giggles from the side and I saw the maids and butlers enjoying our struggles. So they're having fun? I wonder if they'll have fun if I grab their master habang tumatakbo ako. How about that?

"Ma...una ka ... just ... leave  me ... for now ..." he said and I got pissed. I glanced at our trainer and his smile was not there anymore. He was holding his latigo habang papunta sa amin.

"Think of me as an enemy you can't defeat Your Highness," he said and I clenched my hand and felt the dirt slip into my nails and fingers. "What will you do?" he asked with a smirk as he stepped forward.

My mind went blank and I imagined what happened to my home. When Pandora's box opened, Kailani was there so for instance may bubukas ulit pero hindi namin kaya, what should I do? He told me to leave him behind. Should I do that?

I stood up and took 3 steps backward and he frowned. I glanced at the butler and he didn't look happy. Who says I'm leaving him behind? I extended my arm and my vision turned purple. Now that I activated my power, I remembered the first time we met and I attacked him with my vines and formed it into prison. Napangiti na lang ako habang inaalala ang mga sinabi niya na my spirit can take through forms depending on what I wanted to make it stronger but it turns out I did it the first time we met out of adrenaline rush. How nostalgic.

"Kailani!" I shouted and he immediately smiled.

"This is my last strength, you better do this right," he said and my eyes widened when our trainer suddenly gave us a big smile and for a second, I saw a huge  grizzly bear behind him. Ursidae Family, 7th in rank. He suddenly raised his hand and the clouds started forming. He's going to attack us?! Seriously?! We're in our first day of training! "Cygnus! Get me out of here! That's an order!" he shouted but he was calm, pero ako? I'm panicking!! Lalong-lalo na't sumakit ang marka. Why the hell is he ordering me anything that he wanted!? I'm not his servant! I'm his partner!

"Aconite," I whispered and huge vines encircled Kailani so our trainer stepped back. Everyone was surprised, it looked like ngayon lang sila nakakita ng isang tao na mula sa Botanica Family. The vines moved to our trainer's direction so he started avoiding my attacks while I was walking forward palapit kay Kailani. I'm not in good condition because I'm too tired but I can't just leave him here. Kumunot ang noo ko and my senses were sharper. I clenched my hand and the vines took Kailani at inlapit ito sa tabi ko. My vines formed into a chair that I just tried to imagine and the next thing I knew, Kailani was already sitting comfortably looking out at our trainer with a smirk.

"You shouldn't have triggered him, Sir," he said and he rested his elbows on the chair handle at inilagay ang mukha niya sa kamay niya mismo. "He's scarier than me," he added with a cold smile.

After that incident, our trainer called out for break kaya nandito kami ngayon sa kusina, kumakain talaga ng marami.

"I can't believe you activated your power with a little mess," he teased with a sarcastic smile. "And you even called me stupid, you also panic a lot, and lastly, you're short tempered. You can't survive in school with that." he added at kinain ang natitira niyang pagkain.

"We'll if I can't survive, too bad you can't too. Mainland Agartha works in pairs, right?" I asked with a smile and I can tell that he was kind of pissed based on how his brows raised although he was still smiling.

"Right," he answered with a deep sigh, looking concerned. Now he looked concerned after he teased me. He's really stupid. "Anyways, I know that the whole mansion knows who you are but do you wanna let people know who you are?" he asked at napatigil ako sa pag kain.

"No," I answered immediately. "I don't want any other people fussing into my life as if they know me," I added and he nodded. "I know that most of the people hate my father so I'd rather avoid myself from mess. I wanna live normally." I added it again.

"But being part of a Botanica Family makes people wonder," he answered. He's right. "What will you do if people start speculating you as the son of the previous Spirit Martial? Will you run away?" he asked and for some reason, his question is kind of sad. I remembered how his butler told me not to abandon him, is he afraid that I'll abandon him?

"Unless you'll order me to do so, I'll stay. Little bullies can't scrape my confusing life after all." I answered as I sip into my glass to drink water.

"So you'll not run away?" he asked with a smile.

"No." I answered as I put my glass back into the table. "Are you afraid that I'll abandon you?" I asked out of curiosity but he was startled and he clenched his fist and gave me a smile- a smile that he forced to form.

"No," he answered. "I've been living my life alone for almost 16 years, I'm used to it." he added. Used to what? Being alone or being abandoned?

"I see," I answered. I was about to talk again but he stood up.

"I'll go to the comfort room first," he said with a smile and he immediately walked away. I think I made the wrong move.

Hindi na siya bumalik pa kaya naisipan kong hanapin yung butler na kausap ko kahapon. I need to know more about him. I walked inside the hallways for couple of minutes already pero hindi ko pa rin siya nakita. I might've pissed Kailani so I wanted to know the reason why and what's his issue about abandonment.

"Your Highness, you seemed lost," the butler's voice echoed from behind kaya lumingon ako.

"We need to talk," I said coldly and he seemed surprised.

I walked papasok sa room ko at sumunod siya. I ordered him to sit down so he sat down on the chair and I did the same.

"Tell me," I said coldly. "What's with Kailani and his issues being abandoned?" I asked and his brows raised.

"I thought I told you to stop asking that," he replied. You wanna do this in a rude way? I'll not back down.

"With all due respect, I have the authority to know. How can I possibly be with him when I don't even know what the hell is going on? I'm not just sticking my nose up to some stranger, we're talking about Kailani here. He's my partner. That's enough reason for me to know more," I replied and he clenched his hand. "Should I ask him myself then?" I threatened and he panicked.

"He ..." he said with a trembling voice as if he'll cry any moment from now. Did I make the wrong move again? "He has been my master since he was born. He grew up in the castle with all the needs he needed but I took care of him, it's more like I raised him. I read him books before going to sleep. I taught him about things that can't be taught in school such as manners." he added at yumuko siya.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"He ... He's actually a disowned prince abandoned by his father at the age of 5," he replied at agad akong napahawak ng mahigpit sa upuan. Abandoned at the age of 5? Disowned? Is it why he and his brother were not in a good state? and here I am, forcing myself to know more information about him?! I always wondered why he doesn;t really talk about his family at ito pala ang rason? I'm the stupid one here.

"D-Disowned?" utal-utal kong tanong and he nodded. This time, his tears started falling. It was like I was watching a parent feeling pity towards his son.

"Normally, we would call him Prince but he doesn't want to hear that word so we call him Master. You see," he answered while he wiped his tears. "When Master was disowned, wala akong nagawa. I just watched him thrown away to the gates with his little bag and clothes because the King's wife- the Queen, doesn't want him there. He might be the first son but his mother is a maid and she abandoned him first," he added at napalunok ako.

Kailani, what kind of life have you been through?
