We waited for Kali to come back pero hindi siya bumalik kaya nagpasya kaming tatlo na magpahinga muna dahil may mock games mamaya. It’s no that serious kasi we’re official students, pakitang gilas lang ito sa mga studyante. Mock games also buys time para mapagdesisyonan ng mga professors kung anong classroom kami mabebelong. I think everyon is expecting our group to be in Elite pero hindi namin iniisip iyon. Nakakahiya naman pag hindi.

Nieve went to Kali’s room to check him out at nagpagpasyahan naman ni Kailani na sumama na lang sa room ko para sabay naming ramdaman ang boring morning na ito. We even woke up early tapos iyon lang pala ang pag-uusapan namin. Hindi naman sa nagrereklamo ako pero parang ganon na nga.

“Cygnus,” tawag ni Kailani kaya napatigil ako at napatiningin sa kaniya.

“You know I’m not clumsy. I’m cautious. You don’t have to worry.” sagot ko naman at naglakad ulit.

“I’m not telling you this for your safety only, Cygnus,” bigla niyang sabi kaya napalingon ako pabalik sa kaniya.

“Anong ibig mong sabihin, Kailani?” I asked.

“I’ll destroy any country to save you, Cygnus. Kung mapapahamak ka man, kahit buong Agartha kaya kong burahin para sayo. Gusto ko lang malaman mo yan,” he said and for some reason, my face turned red. I hope he does not noticed that.

“You’re insane,” tipid kong sabi at tumalikod para hindi niya makita ang pamumula ng mukha ko.

“Sinabi ko lang naman.” he said at nauna nang naglakad sa akin. I watch him walked away with his broad back being hit by the sun rays. Tumigil siya and he glanced at me showing me his perfect collarbone and pointed nose. The rays of the sun is making him more attractive. What the hell am I thinking? “I’m not scaring you. Am I?” he asked.

“No, but your statement sounds you’re going overboard,” sagot ko and he gave me a smirk.

“Overboard doesn’t mean anything when they cross the line. I’m trying my best to be calm and collected all the time but hurting my partner is another part of the story. I might sound possessive,” he said at humarap siya sa akin. “But maybe I really am possessive.” he added with a creepy smile.

“Stupid,” sagot ko at nauna na akong naglakad kasi makikita niya na talaga ang pamumula ng mukha ko.

We stayed silent as we walked for minutes patungo sa room ko. When we arrived, I was surprised that my uniform and accessories are preapared. May tea and cookies rin na nakahanda. The maids and butler saw us so they bowed down at us at kusang lumabas. They closed the door at umupo ako sa higaan.

“Matulog ka muna,” Kailani said at umupo tabi sa akin.

“Ikaw? Ayaw mo?” tanong ko naman at humiga sa higaan at napahinga ng malalim.

“Ulitin ko?” he teased at tinadyakan ko siya palayo kaso nahuli niya ang paa ko. He smiled at me and tilted his head. “What a cute kick, Cygnus,” he teased at bigla niyang hinila ang paa ko at hinawakan niya ang kabils. Pumatong siya sa akin and my eyes widened.

“K-K-Kailani, what the hell are you doing?!” reklamo ko.

“Marking you. Just in case Wylie’s brother will make a move.” he said with a smile.

“Mark?! Minarkahan mo na ako!” reklamo ko.
