“Kailani,” I called kasi tapos na ang laban. Kahit isang KO wala talaga ako. I was able to control my body after the masked man announced that time was up. I think I made a good impression with bad consequences. I think that was a bad move. “Wala kang sinabi na ganon ang mangyayari, gago!” reklamo ko at tumawa lang siya.

“That was one hell of a fight,” he said with a nod as if he was telling me that he was satisfied. “I’m impressed, well I should say, everyone is impressed,” he added and I glanced back at the training ground field and audiences.. The students were getting wild and they kept shouting my name.

“Kailani, pag ako kinalaban ng lahat, papatayin talaga kita,” reklamo ko pero tinawanan lang ako ng puta.

Pumunta kami sa Healing Station pero wala akong gasgas talaga kaya pinalabas lang ulit ako. I keep hearing compliments kahit saan ako dumaan. Mapastudyante o hindi. A part of me wants to be deaf. “How was the exam?” I asked and he gave me a thumbs up.

“No KO,” he said cheerfully.

“Alam mo, minsan iniisip ko na lang na may bipolar kaya ka ganyan,” I said with a frown pero hindi niya ako pinansin at kumuha ng cookie. Umupo siya sa tabi ko at napahinga ng malalim, maybe because the third part of the entrance exam is done at makakauwi kami sa mansion ngayon. Ugh, we have to wear another set of royalty suits tomorrow. How unfortunate.

“Hey,” I called at tumingin siya sa akin. “Tell me, why did you unleashed my father’s soul?” I asked.

“Why are you asking such question? Syempre para ipakita sa lahat na hindi ka basta-basta,” he repllied.

“Really?” I asked and he nodded.

“Really!” he replied.

“Is it really for my sake or yours or para hindi mo makakalaban ang principal natin?” I asked and he suddenly looked away and gave me a nervous smile. “I knew it,” I added and he glanced back at me.

“Fine, fine. Yes, a part of me don’t wanna deal with that guy pero hindi talaga iyon ang rason. I just want to see what you can do if you’ll be stronger,” he responded.

“Is that even important right now?! Paano pag hindi ako makapasa?” reklamo ko.

“There is no way he’s let you slip. A strong student like you is welcomed here. HInding-hindi ka pakakawalan dito. Your strength will be a great addition for Mahika Tournament,” he replied.

“It might be my body but it wasn’t me! It was not my strength!” reklamo ko.

“It was yours, it’s just hindi ikaw ang gumamit. Konting training lang and you’ll be able to do things like that or more than that. You just need to put some little efforts. Wala namang mawawala, isugal mo na lahat,” he replied and took a sip of my tea using my cup. “Isa pa,” he added. “You’re the son of the previous Spirit Martial and the strongest female Spirit Caster, I’m sure you’ll be fine,” he added again with a smile.

“Your positive thinking is freaking the hell out of me,” reklamo ko at tumawa lang siya.

We stayed silent for hours at nabulabog nalang kami nang pumasok sina Kali sa pinto. Kali was frowning. Did he fail?

“What’s with that expression, Kali? Para kang binagsakan ng langit at lupa,” sabi ko.

“Hindi mo ba natapos ang exam?” tanong ni Kailani at umiling siya.

“Tell them,” utos ni Kali kay Nieve.

“Um, well, the Queen just approached us and told us to go off without Prince Kailani but with Prince Cygnus only,” Nieve replied at kumunot ang noo ko. Siraulo ba siya?

“At anong sabi mo?” Kailani asked.

“W-Well, t-they argued publicly,” Nieve replied with a nervous smile. “Usually, Prince Kali agrees pero ngayon hindi, I’m just happy he was able to express what he truly want to say,” he added and Kali looked away with a blush.

“H-Hindi naman ganon, ano ka ba Nieve?” reklamo niya. Nice try, Kali. Napakaganda ng acting skills mo sobra. “Hindi na man sa gusto ko na lumapit kay Kailani, gusto ko lang ipreserve nag mga kumakalat na balita,” he said with a confident grin.

“Kumakalat na balita? Anong balita?” tanong ko.

“Prince Kali, I’m not aware that you’re into that,” Nieve said as he chuckled.

“Anong pinagsasabi niyo?” Kailani asked.

“Title matters to me you know kaya syempre gusto ko ang balitang narinig ko,” Kali said at umupo siya sa harapan namin at tumabi kaagad si Nieve.

“Ano ba kasi ang narinig mo? Tsaka pumasa ka ba?” I asked he nodded.

“Syempre pumasa ako pero anyway hindi iyan ang pag-uusapan natin. Kanina kasi, habang papunta ako dito, I heard the students talking about us.” he replied.

“What about us?” Kailani asked.

“Well, the incident before, about that princess who lost control, di ba tayo ang dahilan kaya walang masyadong nasaktan?” he asked at tumango naman kami ni Kailani. “The thing here is, they were amazed by us especially kay Cygnus kasi nakuha niyang pumatol kay Wylie and not to mention about when Gin appeared suddenly para iligtas tayo mula sa surprise attack kay Wylie. Sabi nga nila, Student Council’s don’t interfer that much pero sa atin, ginawa nila kasi may kumalat na rumor na isa na tayo sa mga choices para sa Mahika Tournament,” paliwanag niya.

Madaldal pala si Kali.

“Tapos?” I asked.

“Doon nagsimula ang lahat tapos sa third part ng exam nang pinakita ni Cygnus ang totoo niyang kapangyarihan at sumunod kami kaso hindi mo nakita pero ayun, ginawa na tayong upperhand sa ating batch. It’s like tayo ang Gin at Tempest sa batch natin.” he said proudly.

“Okay, we get that pero what do you mean about the title that you were talking about?” Kailani asked.

“They call us something, it’s like a nickname of our team,” Nieve replied.

“What name?”

“I’m not sure about that but all I heard was Square,” Nieve replied.

“Square?” I asked.

Hindi naman pala nila narinig ng buo tapos sinabi pa nila. Tsaka, I think I saw a new side of Kali today. Medyo madaldal rin siya. A new side that I didn’t see or a new side he just discovered? Who knows.

May dumating na student ata na higher batch and told us to go outside already and we are one of the 30 students who passed but he emphasized that we, four, are called into the Principal’s office. Nagtinginan agad kaming apat.

“Hindi pa nga tayo nakapasa pero kung saang-saang office na tayo pinapatawag, okay pa ba ito?” I asked at tumawa si Kailani.

Nagtungo kaagad kami sa Principal’s Office pero bago kami pumasok may nakasalubong kaming mga studyante na lumabas mula sa room. It was Gin, Tempest and other 5, maybe a part of the student council.

“Look who’s here,” Gin said with a smile. “The so-called indestructible square- 4 people, 4 royalties,” he added.

Ang badoy. Kumunot ang noo ko and he chuckled.

“What? That’s what the students call you, isn’t it amazing? Hindi pa kayo official students pero hinahangaan na kayo,” Gin said sarcastically. “Right, Indestructible Square’s Ace?” he asked as he glanced at Kailani.
