Chapter Eighteen: Return Of The Junk

Sa ikaunang pagkakataon ay hindi ko agad naidilat ang mga mata ko, masyado nakakasilaw ang liwanag sa itaas. Mabuti't sa pangalawang pagkakataon ay nagawa kong makaaninig, ilang beses pa akong pumikit at dumilat hanggang sa naging normal na ang paningin ko. Binaling ko ang ulo ko sa gilid ko at nagulat nang makita si Hunter na nakaupo sa plastic chair, nakasandal siya rito at parang tulog.

Naningkit ang mga mata ko sa pagtataka, nilibot ko ang tingin sa paligid at matagal bago pumasok sa sa isip ko na nasa hospital ako't nakahiga ako sa hospital bed. Naalala ko ang mga pangyayari bago ako mawalan ng malay.

Nawalan ako ng malay. Bakit?

Imposibleng dahil iyon sa 'I love you' ni Hunter, hindi naman siguro ako ganon ka-OA para himatayin lang duon. Ang pagkakaalam ko ay nahilo ako at biglaang sumama ang pakiramdam kaya ako nawalan ng malay.

I panicked when I saw his eyelid moved, I closed my eyes, not knowing what to do. Hindi ko alam kung paano siya haharapin pagkatapos niya akong Ilabyu-han!

Please, please, please! Matulog ka na lang ulit!

"Sera, I saw you."

I silently groaned in annoyance at myself, I wasn't fast enough to close my eyes.

I opened my eyes and looked at him while biting my lips. I can see worry in the depth of his eyes while looking at me.

"Don't make me worry too much." He whispered. "Can you avoid something like that again?"

Tango lang ang naging tugon ko.

"Okay ka na ba?"

I nodded.

"May masakit ba sayo?"

Umiling naman ako.

"Bakit ka ba kasi nawalan ng malay?"

I went silent and then shrugged my shoulder.

"Good, so... I can do this?" I gasped when he kissed my nape, he planted a kiss on my neck, tickling my flesh and pleasuring the sweet spot. I closed my eyes more tightly and held on the pillow case. "Honey, let me see your beautiful face."

Nag-isip pa ako kung gagawin ko ba ang gusto niya. Dahan-dahan kong tinanggal ang braso kong nakatakip sa mukha ko, dinilat ko ang mga mata ko't dahan-dahang bumaling sa kaniya. Halos tumalon ang puso ko paalis sa dibdib nang magkita ang aming mga mata, bumaba ang paningin niya sa labi ko pagkatapos. He rubbed my chin with his finger, he leaned forward and gently brushed his lips against mine.

I closed my eyes and responded without hesitations, completely forgetting everything. Our lips gently caressed each other's lips, his lips tasted good as usual. I wonder if mine's not that bad, I haven't brushed my teeth yet.

I softly moaned when he deepened the kiss, he explored further into my mouth with his tongue, his teeth scraping my lower lip and his tongue battling with mine. We only stopped when we needed to breath.

He wrapped his arm around my body and turned me to face him, our body touching.

"H-hunter?" I put my hand on his chest just in case he lean in again to kiss me. I should keep in mind that we're in public and in the hospital.

"Hm?" He hummed, he brought his hand on my head and caressed my hair.

"Ahm, do I smell bad already?"

He chuckled, he pulled me more close. "No, you always smell good to me."

"Does my breath smells bad?"

"Your lips are good as always, honey." He whispered.

Kinagat ko ang ibaba kong labi. "Tuloy ba ang date natin?"

Pinaglaruan niya ang dulo ng buhok ko. "Of course, handa na ang lahat para sa date natin."

"Really?" I asked, shocked. "You readied everything already?"

"I bought ice cream for you."

"Really? Saan?" Nae-excite kong tanong, bumabangon at nililibot sa paligid ang paningin.

"Anyway, why did you fainted anyways? Haydn's fiance said that she has to talk to you. Ayaw niyang sabihin sa akin kung bakit ka nawalan ng malay, ikaw raw dapat una makaalam."

"I'm pretty sure I don't have a problem, but that's the first time that happened to me. Mamaya na natin tawagin si Doktora, kumain muna tayong ice cream." Hinila ko siya patayo. "Anong flavor binili mo para sa'kin?"

"Cookies and cream. Sorry wala akong mahanap na melon." Umalis siya sa kama at tumungo sa isang gilid kung saan naroon ang isang maliit na refrigerator. "Don't ask why there's a fridge, I asked to move you to a private room."

"Oh." I only fainted but I'm in a private room? "Ahm, okay lang sa akin 'yang flavor na 'yan. Nagsawa na rin naman ako sa melon." I brought my knees to my chest and hugged them. "Sila Mama at Papa nga pala?"

"They left already, na-discharge na ang Mama mo at inuwi na siya ng Papa mo. Babalikan ka ng Papa mo bukas, sa ngayon ay dito ka muna." He came back with a jar of ice cream and a teaspoon. Umupo siya sa harapan ko, he opened the jar and spooned some ice cream. "if you don't like this flavor, tell me and I'll buy what flavor you want."

"No need, I like this flavor. Thanks." I opened my mouth to accept the cold ice cream in my mouth. It was so good that I craved for more!

I snatched the jar and spoon from his hold and moved away from him. I ate the ice cream by myself, not wanting to share this to him dahil alam kong kulang pa 'to sa akin. On second thought, gusto ko pang magpabili sa kaniya.

Hmm! It's so good!

"You're so selfish, you won't share that with me? Hindi pa rin ako kumakain. Do you know what time is it? It's already 9 PM." Umusog siya palapit sa akin, tinalikuran ko siya upang hindi niya ako maistorbo ngunit yumakap lang siya sa bewang ko.

"Sigurado akong bumili ka ng pagkain, iyon 'yong kainin mo, not my ice cream." I playfully hit his chest by my elbow.

"Honey, but that's my favorite ice cream flavour." He put his chin on my shoulder.

"Fine, just one bite, okay?" Nakanguso akong humarap sa kaniya, I spooned a small amount of ice cream and placed it in front of his mouth.

"Really? Gan'yan lang kakonti?"

"Just say ah, I'll feed you more!"

He chuckled and shook his head at me, he opened his mouth to accept the ice cream but he stopped midway when his phone rang and disturbed us. I got really irritated because of it.

"Bwisit." I muttered, rolling my eyes while he chuckled and quickly took the ice cream in his mouth. He answered the call without looking at the caller. But I saw the name flashed on his screen.

"Hello?"

Suddenly, his smile fell, I saw how he shifted away a little from me.

"What do you want?" He asked, staring at me straight to my eyes. "Can you just give me a f*****g break kahit ngayon lang, pwede ba?" He sighed, he massaged his nose bridge like he's stressed. "Fine, I'll appoint a meeting with you."

Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili kong hablutin mula sa kaniya ang phone at tinapat ito sa tenga ko upang marinig ang isasagot ng babaeng nagngangalang Naomi.

"Thank you so much, Hunter! Thank you! I just miss you so much, baby. I want to see you so badly!"

"Who's this?" I asked Hunter without any emotions visible in my face.

"Hon, stop it." Hunter warned me and grabbed my arm.

"If you're not hiding something from me, you'll let me talk to her."

"Fine, suit yourself." He let go of me and folded hid arms over his chest in annoyance.

I stood up and placed my ice cream on the desk.

From the other line, I heard her laugh like a witch. I just bit my lip to hold my anger and irritation.

"Ako si Naomi, ako ang ex-girlfriend ni Hunter. I assumed na ikaw ang girlfriend. I plan on winning Hunter's heart back. I know that he still loves me, isa ka lang sa mga babae niya at ibabasura ka lang rin niya pagkatapos niya sayo."

"Ah, talaga?" Tinignan ko ng masama si Hunter, nagkibit balikat lang siya sa akin at bumuntong hininga. "Don't be too confident, b***h. Just try to steal my boyfriend away from me and you'll see what hell looks like."

"Just wait and see, Hunter will come back to me and leave you." She sounded mad from the other line, I could sense her raging anger.

"We'll see." I ended the call, I waved the phone in front of Hunter's face. "Bakit hindi mo sinabing gustong makipagbalikan sayo ng ex mo?"

"Importante pa ba 'yon? I only agreed to meet her so I could tell her in person to leave me the f**k alone. I didn't tell you because it's not important. It's not like she's a threat." He calmly responded but I know that he's annoyed of what I did.

"Anong hindi importante? What if she doesn't want to leave you alone? What if you realize you still love her? Iiwan mo 'ko, 'diba?" My voice cracked as a lone tear escape my eyes.

"Why will I realize that I still love her if I never loved her in the first place? I will never leave you, Sera, so please don't overreact!"

"Don't raise your voice at me, Hunter! Bakit? Ikaw lang ba ng may karapatang magselos, ha?" Dinuro ko ang dibdib niya dahil sa inis. "Ikaw lang ba, ha? Wala ba akong karapatang matakot na mawala ka sa'kin!?"

He fell into silence, his feature softened while staring at me.

"You're jealous?"

"M-may dapat ba akong ikaselos?" My lips quivered, my tears started to fall on my cheeks like waterfall. I sat on the space beside him and reached for my ice cream. Para kong batang umiiyak habang kumakain ng ice cream, hindi ko maintindihan kung nakit napaka-emosyonal ko. Ganitong simpleng bagay ay iniiyakan ko.

"Honey." He called me but I remained staring at the wall and eating my ice cream. "Honey, I'm sorry."

I didn't respond.

"Wala kang dapat ikaselos, hon. Makikipagkita lang naman ko kay Naomi para—"

"Subukan mong makipagkita sa kaniya, makakatikim ka sa'kin!" I grumpily shoved the ice cream in my mouth.

"Hindi na. Sera, honey, hindi kita iiwan. I promise. You can trust me." He kissed my shoulder.

"I'll hold on to that." I wiped my tears away, I turn my head to face him. I gasped when he kissed me unexpectedly, my eyes widened in surprise. But for a few moment of being surprised, I closed my eyes and returned the favor.

This is karupukan level 100! My goodness, hindi ko siya kayang tanggihan!
