Chapter 5

I woke up so early even I'm not feeling better. I will do what Gun said to me yesterday. I don't know him and I don't know why even I don't know him I still help him. Maybe because I feel like we are in the same situation. And my heart can't let just abandon someone who needed some help.

Like what my Mama taught me that if someone needs my help and I can see that I could help that person somehow then I should help.

I have to prepare breakfast to the Salagrino's family, and when they were still peacefully sleeping. I silently close the door while bringing foods for the dogs and for Oliver.

His name sounds like a behave and good boy but his personality is completely opposite to what his name was. His stares looks like a gang leader. It's sharp, rough and no emotion at all.

I run quickly when I was already outside the balcony. The dogs were making a noise but I was catching my breath when I was already inside the small house. I was breathing so hard. Im glad that we even fitted here but my mouth hangs open when my eyes shifted to a man who's staring at me.

I compose myself. I bend my head so that I won't hit by the roof who's just near. I could even feel the roof of the sin just my head. I'm just glad that this small house was wide enough even how small it is.

"Take this. This is your breakfast." I sad while placing the plate beside him, and sk that he would shifted his attention away from me. He was looking at me seriously.

Why? Did I forget something? I asked myself and when my eyes went directed to the plate.

"Ah. Right. I forgot your water." I said sheepishly. I could feel the glass shaken because my hands were shaking. And when I lifted my eyes to him, he was still staring at me... seriously.

He was laying while both of his hands were away from each other and the space between his hands occupies with my dogs. He was caressing my dogs.

"W-What?" I said nervously when he really don't want to look away. He give me stares that shaken my sanity.

Does he want to kill me?

"Be careful." He said seriously after a long stares.

"Huh?"

My forehead ceased in confusion..

"If you got caught. Just tell then where I am."

Just easily like that?

"What's wrong with you? The way you said that tell them where you are makes me angry. "It feels like it's normal for you to say like that around you like... you expected them to... "

"When money is involve you can't expect people to stay loyal. The more money is being offer, the more the people become greedy. The feeling of tasting a money is addictive." He said seriously.

Really? There are people who's mindset is not the same to the people he had met. There are still people whose moral are still their standard in living.

He chuckled while staring at me. His eyes went down to the plate and he slowly start eating. My eyes shifted to the dogs beside him. He was the first person who could go closer to the dogs except of me, ofcourse.

It was so cute...

"You will go out today?" Oliver asked and I quickly look at him and nodded.

"Just tell him that you save me, and needs a black coffe, and tell him where I was, and as soon as possible." He said and I nodded.

Is he powerful?

He stare at me seriously when my eyes eyes were confused.

"How will he come here for you? Helicopter?" I asked. If his friend would be here though ship, that would be impossible becuase the outsider ships aren't allowed as long as their permission from the Mayor itself.

"People wants me dead and I'll go by helicopter that would be too much. And, ship would be less safer. A ship will do."

"Outsider ship aren't allowed to enter." I said. He stop chewing and looks at me.

"Really?" He asked and I nodded. He slowly nodded. I look at him but his eyes already somewhere maybe he was thinking a strategy.

This man is dangerous. People wants him dead and that's mean he is something into like politician? Model or being an actor, or maybe people envy him because he is... handsome. But it was so immature if that's the reason.

My attention shifted when Blackey lick my cheek. I chuckled while at him. I hold both of his hairy cheeks.

"Are you still hungry? Do you want me to buy you plain bread?" I asked while staring the dogs. I chuckled when Blackey suddenly lick my lips.

"That night...." Oliver said, that my eyes froze. My heart best so fast and like they want to come out from the shell.

".... except to your soft voice that wakes me up... I feel a soft... lips into my mouth-

"I-I'll go now. It's already too late. " I said interrupting him. I took the plate quickly he's not done eating. I was struggling while looking away. I did not even stare at him.

"You kissed me-

"I'm already late." I said nervously pretending not to hear him. I thought his dead that time? Then how... how did he know that?

Yes... my lips touch his lips but it wasn't a kiss. It's a mouth to mouth saving..not really mouth to mouth. But... it's not really that way of what he thinks. After my lips touch his lips, his heart start to beat. It just happened once, and I did not even dare to do it twice.

I successfully went outside, and quickly walk away. I massage my head. It's not like I'm guilty. I don't know how to explain it him.

I glance back. I could not even remember that I close the door but I'm sure that Oliver closed it for me.

Forget that night. Forget that night. I chanted while going inside the house.

"Where did you go? " I jumped in surprise when someone behind me speak. Dianne was standing while both of her hands were on her waist. She looks at me, suspicious.

"I feed the dogs." I sad seriously, too. I wave the plates infront of her when hse did not believe it. She look at me and she point her finger to my forehead.

"I saw you went inside the dogs house." She said seriously. My mind was in complete hang in the cliff.

"Blackey is sick, Dianne." I said, quickly. I turn my back at her and place the empty plates in the sink.

I turn back and saw her still watching me.

"I went inside to check on her. If you want you can check her in the afternoon and when the lunch come, feed the dogs. It's perfect because I have work this day." I said, a little bit tired, ofcourse faking it.

I chuckled when I see her reaction like she just step on a poop.

Crazy. Overreacting.

I stare at her challenging her.

"Ew...You know that I hate dogs." She said rolling her eyes. "Feed them before leaving, Ahsanti!" She shouted before slamming the door. I shrug my shoulder while going inside my door. After I lock the door and I let my body fell down.

"That was so near" I whispered to myself. I tap my chest while catching my breath. Dianne is a stubborn woman and I'm thankful that she's scared of dogs or else... I don't know why my heart says that I should keep him hide.

"Ashanti, clean our room before leaving!"

I heard Dianne shouted, and I was shock and jolted in shock when she slammed my door.

"Ashanti! I know your listening! Stop acting deaf-

I open the door and look at her tired. Her hands were hanging in the air. She fake her smile and put down her hands.

"Clean my room before you leave." She ordered.

"Yes, your highness. I heard it clearly, precisely and correctly." I said, highlighting every words.

"Good." She said. She flip hair infront of my face while walking away. I blow the one strand hair on my lips.

To make my job easier and sk that I can leave in peace I followed what they commanded. I cleaned the three sisters room.

I couldn't hold my self, and I sneeze infront of the table. Their eyes we're looking at me shock and their mouth hangs open. I was fling their glass with water but I couldn't hold myself to sneeze infront of them.

"The fuck." Dianne cursed while spitting out the food on her mouth. I know that sneezing infront of the while eating seems really inappropriate...just no table etiquette but I couldn't help myself but to chuckled.

"Eww..." Cynthia shrill, and Agatha was just wiping some water on her face.

Dianne gritted her teeth in anger.

"Did you do it on purpose?"

"I did not. I'm not feeling well. I could not stop myself." I said shrugging my shoulder. My eyes quickly went to Cynthia who's holding the spoon, tightly.

"I'll go now. Please continue eating." I said with a smile.

"You ready did it on purpose, you bitch." Diane uttered angrily.

I smiled widely and throw the apron beside them.

"Next time, cook your own food. You don't know the next day you did not wake up."

"You-b***h!" Dianne shouted.

I laughed while winking at them, and I saw how Dianne was drinking a lot of water. And Cynthia were poking the hell out of the food she ate.

"I will really tell Mom about it!" Dianne shouted.

I did not even care anymore.

My eyes shifted to the small house, but I decided to go straight than to check on them. I just hope that Oliver won't go out their or Diane, or even Agatha will not check the small house.

"Go back early Muchacha! Dianne shouted. I glance back. She's standing while gargling water.

"You have pending a lot of laundry to do and don't even think of going away! " She shouted after she spit out the water.

"You have no place here in the world! Just stay in our house and serve us forever! Your life is ours! You owe us for taking you to our home! " She shouted. I could still hear her babbling rubbish words but I ignored her and pretend she's crazy while going inside the jeep.

People inside the jeep doesn't even mind her. They have their own world. Some were talking to each other, some were holding their back tightly, some face their phone seriously. My eyes shifted to the jeepney driver who's looking at me.

I took my wallet out and pay for my ride.

I look back after that and I could still see her mouth keeps on moving and babbling words she only understand.

"Have you seen him?"

My eyes quickly moved beside me. I closed my eyes, pretending to sleep and pretending not to hear them. It was a soft whispered but since they seated near me I just could hear them.

"I'm sure it would be easy for us to catch him. This island is just sa small. Maybe, we have to search every corner, again."

"Is it true that they added fifty thousand?"

"Yes, people are hunting him and... everyone stop fishing just to catch that guy."

Even they don't reveal a name I have a guts that it was that man that I saved they were searching. And the thoughts that he is an actor or model fade away, maybe he is something bigger than that.

"Maybe someone is hiding him."

The other man said, and my heart was in total of froze.

"That is impossible. No one would dare to hide him here."

My eyes quickly open and when my eyes moved outside my heart beats nervously when the jeep drove passed passed the mall. where should I stop by. The driver glance at me, and the two man beside me who were talking while ago looks at me, too.

"I'll just stop here." I said acting normally even though my heart was beating so loudly. The jeep slowly stopped.

"You." I heard the man said, and I don't know who said that. I shifted my eyes at them, scared. My lips were even trembling.

"Me?"

The other man nodded. They were both big man and scary man. I couldn't even moved and left because the driver did not even start the jeep.

"Your Tito Dito is also haunting that man. Does he already found it?"

They know Tito Dito?

"Huh? I-I did not know... H-he was in the ca-casino yesterday." I said, and they nodded.

"I-I'll go first. I-I'll tell m-my Tito that you are asking about it ." I said, stuttering. They nodded

"Tell him that we're checking the sea nearby their house." The man said, and my heart become even more scared that the man I hide in the sa house.

I quickly leave the jeep, and stood there whuke watching the jeep slowly to run. If I will run right now they would find it crazy or suspicious or whatever. I don't even ask their name.

I think my life just been become messy because of that man. I would not be acting like this if I haven't hide him.

What if I'll just told them that I found him? But...how I am sure that his life would be safe? I already seen a movies like this that they would kill the man after they catch him. They offer big cash, and that means that I should be more cautious to protect that man.

Literally, we'll gonna die together.
