I woke up to the sound of the door bell, but I didn’t bother to open the door. Instead, I covered my ears with a pillow so I couldn’t hear that. I was about to go back to sleep when my phone suddenly rang. I groaned and looked at the clock on the bedside table. It's seven o'clock in the f*****g morning. And yeah, it's Monday. But I don't care.
I took a deep breath before reaching over for my phone. I glanced at the screen and frowned when I saw that it was from my secretary.
