Chapter 27

“Why?”

“Nothing. I just want to play with him.”

That sounds childish but cute. I just nodded. I was like that before. Ayaw ko nga siya patulugin pero siya na mismo ang pumipikit. Natawa siya habang pinipikit ang mata niya tapos makakatulog na agad.

“What food does he like?”

“Bananas, oatmeal, something like that.”

There’s a lot of food that he still can’t eat. He can eat solid foods, but only the soft ones. He also likes breastfeed milk than those.

“I see. Does he like toys?” I nodded.

“He likes toys, a lot. Trains, dinosaur, anything.” I said.

“I should’ve bought him one. I was at the mall yesterday, but I didn’t know what to buy for him.” He said.

“That’s fine. He has a lot of toys.” I said.

I suddenly wonder why doesn’t he have a girlfriend or a child with another woman now? I mean he’s successful and old enough. He also live in US.

“How long will you stay here?” I asked.

“I can’t stay for long. Maybe a week? I need to go back to US after that.”

Well, that’s fine for me. Kung gusto niya din na dito muna siya, I have a lot of guest rooms. I won’t forbid him to stay here and watch over his son or bond with him for the short time he’s here.

“I heard you don’t want lola to take care of him,” He said.

“Yes. I want to take care of my own son.” I said.

“Can I stay here for a week then?” I looked at him and said,

“Okay. There’s a guest room beside my room. Brion sleeps here with me.” I said.

As what we agreed on, pumayag ako na dito muna siya tumira para naman makasama niya si Brion bago siya umalis ng US.

I’m busy with work too so naiiwan ko sa bahay si Louis at si Brion. It’s a good thing that his own father is watching over him while I’m away.

Sinabihan ko din si ate Reah na tignan tignan silang dalawa just in case may hindi alam si Louis or may kailangan malaman.

I’m sure he’s still adjusting and there’s a lot of things he doesn’t know about Brion. Mas mabuti nang makilala niya din muna ang anak niya.

“Gio can you get my bag? I’m getting dizzy.” I said.

I just lack of sleep theses days and I’m not feeling well. Siguro dahil napupuyat ako pag nagigising bigla si Brion. Umiiyak kasi siya pag nagigising at pag ganoon, nagugutom nanaman siya.

It’s either I have to calm him down, or feed him. Minsan pumupunta si Louis sa kwarto para siya ang magpatulog dito, pero hindi ko kasi kaya makatulog ng nandoon si Louis.

Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit. Gio handed me my bag and I got my medicines out of my bag.

“Are you sick?” He asked.

Tinignan ko ang hawak ko. Marami akong medicines dito including the ones I’m taking while I was pregnant with Brion and when after I gave birth.

“Not really. I just have a different kinds of medicine in my bag. Just in case.” I said.

He nodded and didn’t say anything after that. Maski siya or ang daddy niya ay hindi alam na may anak ako. No one actually knows about it except for the people who’s inside my house, who visited my house, and the people at the hospital.

Hindi naman nila nilalabas ang mga information about doon.

“Tell me If you still don’t feel any better after that. I think you need to have a checkup at the hospital.” Sabi niya.

Gio is surprisingly caring. Of course he should really take care of me. Ang alam ko kaya mabait siya sa’kin, dahil alam niyang mag-isa nalang ako at wala nang magulang. He also knows about ate Danicah dahil pumunta ‘yon dito at nagwala dahil hindi ko nga siya binigyan ng pera.

That day was really f****d up. Buti nalang at sound proof ang office ko at hindi kami naririnig sa labas, kung hindi ay chismisan talaga ang mangyayari.

“I’ll just have to attend a meeting. Tawagan mo ako kung may kailangan ka.” Sabi nito.

“Yes, thank you.” I said and drink the medicine that I need. Bumalik na kaagad ako sa gawain ko.

I learned how to check every papers now. Wala ng nakakalagpas sa’kin na mga error or fraud papers. I rejected a lot of proposal too dahil marunong na ako marunong na ako tumingin ng good proposal.

Dati halos lahat ay naapprove ko which is result of being scanned with Gio again to make sure that everything is right. He’s been really helpful with me.

Tumingin ako sa cellphone dahil nag vibrate ulit ‘yon.

Gio: Do you want to have lunch together?

Napaisip ako. I usually ask him to buy me food and eat inside my office. I think it’s good to eat outside the office too.

Me: Okay.

I said and locked my phone again. Nag vibrate nanamn ‘yon at galing yun kay Louis.

Louis: Brion spoke today. He called me dada.

What? I pouted. I’m jealous! I want to be called mama too.

Me: Daya! Nilock ko na ulit ang cellphone ko at nag focus na sa paper works. I need to finish this. I’m the boss, but that doesn’t mean that I have the right to slack off.

Everyone outside is working their ass off. Madami din sakanila ang hinahabol ang deadline.

Ilang oras din bago nakabalik si Gio. He usually stays inside my office to make sure I’m doing things right. Ayaw ko rin kasi na mag-isa lang ako sa loob ng office, so I specially requested for his table to be moved inside my office.

Malaki naman kasi at may partition kaya ayos lang din.

“How are you feeling?” Tanong niya.

“Medyo okay naman na,”

“Hungry? Tama na muna ‘yan. Mag lunch muna tayo.” Sabi nito.

I sighed and stretched my arms. Ang sakit na ng likod ko dito. Tumayo ako at kinuha lang ang wallet at cellphone ko. My bag is big and I’m too lazy to bring it.
