-Flashback-
The hut's are empty! Walang tao sa bandang room ko. The other room must be Louis's.
It’s our only choice.
“What?” Umiling siya at inistart ulit yung sasakyan.
Habang nag drive siya ay kumakain ako. I have seperate utensils for him so we don’t share the same.
Maarte ako sa ganun. I don’t share straw or the same utensils with the same person. Kahit noon kay Louis.
Although we kissed and all, when it comes to sharing personal items, hindi ko talaga kayang gawin. Naintindihan niya naman and it’s just reasonable. It’s not being maarte.
Tinignan niya muna ako at sumimangot ako.
“Open your mouth.”
“Why are you laughing.” He pouted.
“Nothing.” I said and hid my face. I scoop another one to give him, pero natapon ‘yon.
“Sorry!”
“It’s fine.” Sabi niya at tinulungan ako tanggalin ‘yon gamit ang tissue.
“Your clothes are messed up. May dala ka bang extra?” Tanong ko.
“Yes, don’t worry about me.” Buti nalang.
I checked my phone and puro pictures ni Brion ang sinend ni lola. Sinama nila si Brion sa swimming pool.
He has safety equipments and I’m sure bantay sarado siya ni lola. He seems to enjoy swimming. I was about to call them, pero nawalan nanaman ng signal. I sighed.
“Did you reserve us rooms sa hotel?” Tanong ko.
“Yes. It settled already.” Sabi niya. Good. Madami kasi ang pupunta at baka mapuno pa yung rooms.
Malay mo may ikakasal pala doon.
“About your sister, I’ve received a message from her. Sabi niya ay sabihan daw kita. She’s out of money.”
“What? She’s out of money? Wala pa ngang one month ubos na ang allowance niya?” She didn’t contact me directly too.
“No. Don’t give her. If she wants money, she’ll have to wait until next month and she should ask me directly.” Sabi ko. I won’t tolerate her actions anymore.
“Noted. Does she always act like that ever since?” Tanong ni Gio.
“I’m not really close with her. Hindi kasi kami sabay lumaki. She chose to live in US at ako naman ay si kasama si mama sa pilipinas.” Sabi ko.
My dad was living in US since army siya doon. Kasama niya noon si ate Danicah, but when dad died, sila aunti at uncle na ang nagalaga sakanya
“I see. No one was there for here in US, then?”
“Uncle and auntie took care of her, but I think hindi nila nabantayan ng husto si ate dahil may sarili din silang mga anak. Ate Danicah also went back to our house in US when she turned fifteen.” Sabi ko.
That’s when things really got messy. Dahil nga nagagawa niya na lahat ng gusto niya at wala na pumipigil sa kanya, she was influenced by her friends.
You know the typical American teenager. Some of them can be really bad influence. I’m not generalizing everyone. Just some of them.
“I talked with her in person before, and she was nice to me. She’s not like that. I mean on how she treats you.” I know.
She’s only bad and rude to me. She’s good with other people, but not to her own sister.
“Mom left everything to me and I think she got jealous because of that.” Sabi ko. Totoo naman. Noong una nagagalit lang siya sa’kin dahil ayaw ko sumama sakanya sa US, but after that talk with attorney, lahat na ta ng galit binuhos niya sa’kin.
“Your mom didn’t left anything for her?” Tanong ni Gio. “Yes. It’s because she’s careless and mom thinks she can’t be trusted with those properties.”
“Mom left everything to me at binilin niya pa na bantayan ko si ate Danicah. If there’s someone who’s supposed to be mad or magtampo man ay ako dapat ‘yun. I’m the younger one so why should I shoulder everything?” Sabi ko.
I can’t help but to rant.
Now that Gio opened it up, I suddenly want to tell him everything.
“That’s what I was wondering about too. You’re much younger than your sister Danicah, so why are you leading the company instead of her?” Sabi niya.
“That’s why. I also asked ate Danicah if she could help me with the company kasi wala naman problema ang pera. I can even transfer most of the shares of the company to her, pero wala. She left everything to me.”
I need to take responsibility to everything that my mother used to do.”
“I’m sorry,” He said.
“No, it’s fine. I’ve been wanting to let this all out too. Wala lang akong mapagsabihan.” Sabi ko.
“Why? Don’t you have friends or someone to talk about problems?”
“I have friends, but they’re far. I like to keep things by myself too. Sobrang bihira ko mag open up at magsabi ng problema.”
I feel like if I let it all out too, parang pinapasa ko lang yung bad vibes sa tao na pinagsasabihan ko.
