Chapter 63

After we eat breakfast, Hinayaan ko muna ang yaya ni Brion dito sa bahay nila lola na alagaan siya.

I’m just going to visit lola for a bit. Ayaw din ni Louis na dalhin ko si Brion kaya nag-isip ako kung paano ako makakabisita. Tita’s busy at work as usual.

“Where you going mama?” Tanong nito.

“Mama’s just going to buy something. I’ll be back, okay?”

Pag sinabi ko sakanya na sa ospital ako pupunta ay mangungulit ‘yan sumama. Baka hindi na rin ako makaalis.

“Can you buy me toy?”

“What toy, Honey? You have a lot of toys na,” Sabi ko sabay hawak sa pisngi niya.

“I want to be a doctor. I want these oh,” He said and he showed me a picture from lola’s phone. That’s… Louis’s brother. I smiled and nodded.

“Okay, I’ll buy you toys like those. Just make sure you’ll behave to Ate Rosette, okay?” Tumango ito at ngumiti.

“That’s my boy.”

“Ate, alis na po ako.”

“Sige po, Ma’am. Ako na po ang bahala kay Brion.”

“Salamat.” Sabi ko at umalis na.

Nagbook nalang ako ng Obeer dahil mamaya ay sabay kaming uuwi ni Louis. He needs to change clothes and have a rest. Baka ako ang mag drive mamaya.

Pagkaratung ko ng hospital ay dumiretso na ako sa room ni Lola. Pag bukas ko ng pintuan ay bumungad sa'kin si Louis na natutulog sa tabi ni lola habang hawak ang kamay nito.

Louis is pretty close to lola too especially when he was young, just like Brion. Lola was never busy to her grandsons. Dahan dahan kong isinara ang pinto at pinatong ang dala ko sa lamesa.

The room is big and spacious, which is exactly what lola needs. She needs a room that doesn't really look like a hospital.

Dapat ay parang nasa bahay pa rin siya so she won't stress when she wakes up. Umupo ako sa lamesa at kinuha ang cellphone ko sa bag, but I accidentally dropped my wole bag. Medyo malakas ang tunog na 'yon.

"s**t,"

I murmured. Inangat ko ang tingin ko kay Louis na ngayon ay unti unti na minumulat ang kanyang mga mata.

I wanted him to rest more. Tumayo siya with his half opened eyes.

"It's fine. Matulog ka muna, Louis." Sabi ko.

"I've been asleep for hours now." He said with his husky deep voice. Why am I damn smitten with his morning voice?

Parang gusto ko siyang halikan palagi pag kinausap niya ako na bagong gising lang siya. Lumapit siya sa'kin at hinawayan ako sa magkabilang bewang. I smiled and let our nose touch.

"Are you okay?" Tanong ko.

"Not really..."

What I like about Louis is he never lies with his feelings. Kung ano ang nararamdaman niya 'yun ang sasabihin niya. He won't sugarcoat things. I hugged him and he hugged me back. I can feel his deep breathes.

Baka hindi pa siya nakakahinga ng maluwag dahil hindi pa gumigising si lola.

"Kailan daw gigising si lola?"

"I don't know.... the doctor said she should be awake now. Probably within the day."

"She's going to be fine. Doctor said it already, so breathe, Louis."

I'm worried too, but Louis needs some words that will boost himself. I caressed his cheeks. God, he's so damn gorgeous. His cheeks are smooth and soft, his lips are wet pink, and his eyes.... it's like melting me inside. Agad ko siyang hinalikan at ganun din ang ginawa niya.

"Not here, Louis." Sabi ko.

I heard him chuckled. Minulat ko ang mga mata ko. Halos pumalipit sa tawa si Louis.

"What?" Inis kong sabi.

"We're not gonna do it here. I'm just kissing you, Katherine." I blushed so hard. I know.

But those kisses tend to lead to s*x. It's not just a sweet kiss, but a hot kiss rather. I pouted.

"We'll do it in your room," He whispered in my ear. I don't know why I still got horny even though I was really embarassed. Damn, I want to go home now.

"Ewan ko sa'yo," Sabi ko at hinampas siya.

He chuckled again. Tumingin ako kay lola at hindi pa rin siya nagigising. I hope she wakes up later, para naman maging kampante kaming lahat. Bumukas ang pintuan at napabitaw kami ni Louis sa isa't isa at tumingin doon.

"Oh God, Mama,"

Pumasok si tita at hindi na ata kami napansin dahil dumeretso siya kay lola. Nakita ko kung paano tumulo ang luha ni tita habang pinagmamasdan si lola.

"Mom," Hindi siya tinignan ni tita.

"She's going to be okay. Doctor said she's going to wake up today,"

"I told her that wasn't just normal. Sabi ko sakanya ay pumunta na kami ng hospital pero hindi siya nakinig sa'kin." So tita knows about it?

Sabagay ay sila ang palaging magkasama sa bahay.

"Lola didn't go to the hospital to do check-up?" Louis.

"She did, but I didn't come with her since I had an important meeting. Lately she's having this symptoms like her head hurts at pag naglalakad siya minsan ay na-out balance siya. I told her we should go to the doctor already, pero ayaw niya. Ang sabi niya ay may gamot naman na binigay." Lola can be really stubborn sometimes.

Buti nalang talaga at walang naging komplikasyon sa opera niya. I don't know if they can handle it if something bad really happened.

Kahit ako nga na hindi naman kadugo, ay sobra na kung magalala. Sila pa kaya na they spend their whole lives together.

"Kanina ka pa ba dito, Son?"

"Since last night--"

"What? Hindi ka pa kumakain?"

"I had a coffee earlier--"

"Your lola will be really mad at you. Umuwi ka muna. Ako na muna ang magbabantay dito."

Lumingon siya kay Louis at nakita niya na rin ako sa wakas.

"Katherine, you're here! Sorry I didn't notice," I smiled and said, "Ayos lang po, tita."

"Samahan mo na nga umuwi 'tong si Louis. nag papasaway nanaman."

"Opo, tita. Iyon din nga po ang pinunta ko dito." She forced a smile and nodded. I can see my self before through tita.

Ganyan na ganyan ako noon nung binabantayan ko si mommy sa hospital. Everytime I go to the hospital and look at her, walang araw na hindi ako umiiyak.

It's because I was thinking, I don't want her gone. Paano kapag nawala siya? Paano ako? Pero araw-araw ako binibigyan ni mama ng assurance na hinding hindi ako maliligaw ng landas. I just realized that everyday, she tells me different things to do when she leaves.
