Priscilla's POV After a while, I was in the hospital room, carefully slicing an apple for Francine. She was still resting, her face soft in sleep but peaceful. She deserved to rest after everything that happened. I was focused on the apple, the rhythm of the knife against the fruit, when I heard Reese’s voice from behind me. “Priscilla,” she said, her tone a little hesitant. “Can we talk? In private?” I looked at Francine for a moment, her face still relaxed in sleep. She stirred slightly, but I knew she wouldn’t mind. I smiled at her, reassuring her silently, before turning to Reese. “Sure. Let’s go,” I said, grabbing the apple slices and setting them on the bedside table.
