The Boy I Met Last Summer

We were walking by the rice fields, waiting for the sun to rise when he suddenly held my hand that made me turned my head to him. He still wears his serious face while looking ahead of us. My cheeks burned when I felt him squeezed my hand that made my heart flutter. We're only 7 but he acts like he's seventeen and above. I chuckled which made him looked at me. His brows furrowed and his eyes narrowed. “What?” He asked. I just shooked my head and bit my lower lip to stop myself from grinning. We stopped by the tree and sat under it as we watch the sun rising. “Andrea.” “Hmm?” I turned to face him. He got something inside his pocket and slowly showed it to me, I gasped when I saw what he was holding. It's a ring with an orange button glued to it. “What's the button doing there?” I asked, confused. “Well, I don't have the money yet to buy a ring with a sun design on it. So stick with it for the meantime,” he shyly said then scratched the back of his head. He's so cute. He reached out for my hand then put the ring on it, I can't help but smile. “Andrea, I will make you my girl the next time you come here.
