Chapter 15: Date

Gumawa muna ako ng coffee para may rason naman ako para pumasok doon.
"Good morning sir." I greeted when I got in.
Lumingon silang dalawa sa'kin. Gulat na gulat ang expression ni Troy at ang babae naman ay nakangiti sa'kin.
"C-Cleo..." Nauutal na sabi ni Troy.
"So, you're Cleo?" Ngiti ng babae.
"I'm Allison." she added.
I'm not asking, and also not curious. Tinignan ko lang siya at ang kamay niya. There's no way I would accept her hands after she kissed my man.
Nakita ko ang pag ngiti ni Troy, invading my thoughts again? Tinignan ko siya ng masama at nawala ang ngiti niya.
"May meeting po kayo with Mrs. dela rosa at 8:30am."
"Such a brave woman." Sabi ni Lawrence pagkalabas ko, pumapalpak pa.
Mukang tanga. Sinikmuraan ko siya at tinignan ng masama.
"That hurts!" Pahabol niyang salita dahil binilisan ko ang lakad ko.
Why can't Lawrence take revenge on me? Bakit hindi niya ako magantihan at saktan physically?
I don't know if he's really the mastermind behind this, pero I doubt it. Lawrence don't have enough strength and power to have a manpower who will trust him.
I went to my own office just in the entrance of the CEO's. I have a lot things to do and I'll use that to be busy. Ayoko na mag drama at mag isip ng malalim 'cause that would consume my whole day and I don't want that.
"Ms. Cleo, Sir Troy asked for you," The girl said.
"Bakit daw?"
"Sumama ka daw po sa meeting niya with Mrs. dela rosa, to take down notes."
Inayos ko ang gamit ko at tumayo. I walk slowly inside his office, baka nandoon pa si Allison.
I entered his office and our eyes met. Wala na si Allison at wala din si Lawrence. Hindi ko sila napansin na umalis because I was to busy doing my work.
"After you sir." I said coldly.
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa at hinintay siya maunang lumakad. He won't explain anything? Of course he won't. Bakit pa? I mean I don't need to invade his private life. Out na 'ko dun.
"Mr. Villanueva!" Maligayang bati ng matandang babae.
She even stood up at bumeso kay Troy. She's old, but she still look beautiful.
"So... Mr. Villanueva, this is not about our business... it's about Allison." She said.
So why am I here? Nilingon ako ni Troy na hindi din inakala 'yon. Inangat ko ang ulo ko at ngumiti sa matanda. She smiled back at me. Maybe she's wondering why i'm here when they're about to talk about the relatioship between Troy and Allison.
"What about her?" He asked coldly.
"You two are already engaged, but you never dated."
Engaged? They never dated? He was so cheesy when we're in a relationship tapos ngayon hindi niya magawa ayain si Allison ng date? He looked at me like he heared everything I said.
"Isn't enough that I accepted what you guys want me to do?"
Tinignan ko ang papel ko na akala ko wala akong sinulat. Sa sobrang inis ko may nasulat pala ako. 'Dane the great bullshit.' tapos may drawing na muka niya na may sungay.
He could've just told me he's engaged. Hindi na dapat siya nag sinungaling na walang ibang babae na involve.
"But you know... you still have to date to develop the relationship between the both of you."
"I'll schedule your date. Bukas ng umaga." Mrs. dela rosa added.
Bukas? Date? Okay. Have fun then. Bakit ba nandito pa ako eh hindi ko naman kailangan isulat ang mga 'to? Hindi umangal si Troy at tumayo na. Tumayo din ako.
I bow my head down as a respect to her. Sinundan ko na si Troy na ngayon ay papalabas na.
"Oh my God! Hon? Are you asking me for a date daw?"
Allison ran towards us. Ni wala pa ngang segundo simula nung lumabas kami sa office alam niya na? Pakipot naman konti ate.
Umirap ako at ginaya ang salita niya ng mahina. Lumayo ako sa kanila at dumeretso na sa pwesto ko. I still have things to do.
"Busy tayo ngayon ah."Lumingon ako at nakita ko si Sam.
Buti nalang nandito si Sam. At least I have a friend here in office.
"Sam!" I greeted and hugged him.
Parehas kami ng opisina pero medyo bihira ko siya nakikita. Umayos nag mukha niya dahil sa gupit, he looks handsome.
"Pogi tayo ngayon ah! Saan ka pupunta?" I asked.
He laughed akwardly.
"A-Ah? Wala ah! Dito lang ako sa opisina. Ganito talaga ako manuot."
really? Bakit parang dati hindi naman? Ngumiti ako sa kanya.
"Okay. If you say so," Tawa ko.
"U-Uh ano..."
"Hmm? Why are you stuttering?" I chuckled.
It's not the usual him. I smell something fishy, but I won't assume until I confirm it.
"Are you free later? Dinner maybe?" He smiled awkwardly.
Confirmed. This guy likes me. Well I do think he's attracted to me even the first day. He wouldn't give me a ride if he's not interested.
"Sure! Let's meet at the entrance?"
If Troy can have a date, then I could too. Lumaki ang ngiti niya. Sam is a good guy and I want to try. Hindi nanaman ako kailangan ni Troy after 5pm since he doesn't have any meeting after that and I finished my paper works for today anyway.
"Okay! See you later." He said.
I already fixed my things on my office. I dialed the telephone number inside, baka kasi may tao pa doon and I don't want to invade his privacy. Kakausapin ko siya about my resignation letter.
"We need to talk." I said when he answered the call.
"You can come in, bakit kailangan pa tumawag?"
Umirap ako at binaba ang telepono. Of course baka biglang may babae pala diyan sa office mo. Who knows? I entered his office and sat on the chair in front of him.
"I want to resign, pero sana wag ngayon, just until I found an alternative workplace." I said.
Tinaas niya ang kilay niya at sumandal sa upuan. Kapag hindi siya pumayag wala akong magagawa dahil pinirmahan ko ang kontrata and that's a 2 year contract.
"Okay then." He said.
I wrinkled my forehead and looked at him. Really? Pumapayag siya agad agad? Well that's unexpected.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that? I said okay to your decision."
It means... I'm not really important to him. He can easily let me go, what do I expect?
"Thanks."I said.
