I WENT BACK to the same bar where I first met Samuel at parang sinasadya ng pagkakataon. He came with a few friends. When he spotted me, lumapit siya sa akin at iniwan saglit ang mga kasama niya.
“Long time no see. How are you, Chrissa?” bati niya sa akin. Hindi siya ngumingiti. Naupo siya sa isang bakanteng barstool katabi ko.
“Samuel.” I focused on my drink while thinking about JP. I could care less if Samuel is here.
“Do you want to join us?” Um-order siya ng beer sa bartender at sumimsim siya bago ako hinarap uli. “You’ve got nothing to say?” Napatawa s'ya. “I saw Clarissa with another man. Apparently, the man is her husband. Totoo ba?" Matalim ko siyang tiningnan.
“Do I look like Clarissa’s keeper?”
