The Dark Side of Manila

In the heart of new Manila in Quezon City is a strip called Balete Drive,a road that connects main thorough fares such as E. Rodriguez and N. Domingo Streets.It was named Balete drive because of the Balete trees lining up,along with ancestral mansions such as the 200 year old Bahay Sentenaryo. However the Balete Drive provide more than beauty to the road,it is said that on random nights,a famous white lady called "Babae sa Balete Drive" appears and hunts motorist at midnight. It is said that she was a vengeful soul hunting unlucky people who drives at the middle of the night at her resting place. Rumors have described her as a young lady having a b****y face and a white dress with long straight hair.Some people have said that she was a young lady who was r***d and murdered by a taxi driver and was left to die in the middle of the road. Another speculation of her origin was;a girl who got in to a car accident.A few people have shared their experiences about the said urban legend.Some people say she was not a harmful spirit and she was only there to guide people on their way to their homes. This urban legend have not been proven fake or real but it is only up to you if you believe it.
