Three Weeks Later…

Thorn is not in a good mood when he came home. He should be in his business trip in Malaysia for a month. But he ended it quick because he thought of Angela. He worried about her. Even though their maids told him that Angela is in a good condition, he felt that something is wrong.

            Thorn is a responsible man. He doesn’t want to fail his wife. He even doesn’t want to leave her for so long especially that they just got married. . But the business trip in Malaysia is an urgent emergency. It needed his attention.

            That’s why even though he called Angela everyday to check on her, he also asked their maids. He asked him to report on her condition and Angela’s where abouts.

            The truth is, there is really nothing to worry about. The report said that Angela just went out of the house two times while he was gone. She just went to the office of Lopez Foundation. He was also sure of that because he also had a talk with her driver. The rest of the days, Angela is just at home. It was also reported that she always helps when it comes to housechores. His maids are happy about her.

Angela acted like the way he expected her to be. She is a traditional wife. She is always at home and what he liked the most is that she is down to earth. She didn’t treat the maids differently. Also, even though he didn’t have her as a virgin, she has a respect on her body. She is conservative and shy.

There is also one thing that Thorn didn’t like about his maids reports and the reason why he also went home early. He found out that Angela always used her laptop. She was on call always.

Thorn was sure that it wasn’t him. He doesn’t used the internet, unless it’s for business purpose. He was not even active on social media sites.

Thorn wanted to know who Angela is talking. But he doesn’t want to asked it to his maids. They might think that he is doubtful of his wife. He doesn’t want also to let them think that he doesn’t know his wife’s doings. It was also the reason why he can’t directly ask Angela.

Thorn went home early to directly know who is she calling. And it seems like on the day he came home, they are going to fight. He found her on the situation he hated: she is using her laptop and calling someone. She also has a very good smile.

Thorn felt mad. His face was dark when he walked towards his wife. Angela’s eyes widened when she saw him.

“Oh, you are back! I thought you will come back next week…”

Angela stand up. She checked on him. “Why didn’t you tell me you are going home? I should have picked you up at the airport. Did something wrong happened?”

Her voice sounds so sincere. It felt like she cared for him. Suddenly, he felt good. He loves the thought that she really cares.

It seems like I am going to love the married life…

Thorn shook his head. He also watered his throat as it felt dry when he felt the care of his wife.

“I’m fine. I just missed home…and you.”

“Oh…” Angela’s cheeks flushed. He felt the same way, too. He also stopped for a while and looked at his beautiful wife. He felt her heart melted, especially when he heard the next thing she says.

. “I-I missed you, too…”

Thorn can’t help but hold Angela’s head. He kissed her deep and passionate. He also proved that Angela didn’t lied about what she just said. She kissed him back the same way he did.

The kiss was slow and tender. Thorn groaned. He really missed Angela. There were nights that he can’t sleep properly because he remembered her, especially their love making. He felt addicted to it. He felt addicted to her.

And it wasn’t that bad. Angela is now his wife. He could have her on every way every day. He was her possession. Now and forever.

But Thorn already learned her lesson. Everything excessive is bad. He stopped himself. He should not let himself close to her, especially his heart,

But it was Angela who had the first taste of reality. Their kisses is starting to went deeper when she went away from him. “W-Wait!”

Thorn got confused. Angela went back to her laptop. He felt bad again.

“What is that?” Thorn can’t help but asked. She went to Angela.

Angela didn’t hide what she was doing. Thorn saw her Skype. In the screen is a young boy. He waved his hand.

“I forgot I’m still talking to my b-brother…”

“Brother?” Thorn got confused. He thought that Angela is an only child. “You have a half-brother?”

As what he saw, the child looks like a six year old. And as he remembered, it was almost eight years when Angela’s father died. He died of heart disease. It is impossible that this child is his.

“Y-Yes. He is living in Singapore.”

Thorn was about to asked a question when the young man in the screen interrupt. “Hello. Are you my sister’s husband?”

Thorn answered. Now he felt bad and his conscience hit him. He thought of something bad on her wife over that caller. He didn’t know it was just an innocent child. “I’m Thorn. What’s your name?”

“I’m Andres. It’s nice to meet you. Take care of my sister,okay? She’s the loveliest girl in the world. If you huert her, I will tell my Doctor to inject you! It hurts. You will cry!”

Thorn laughed. It seems like the child is naughty even though his face looks white. He looks sick. “I don’t like injections so rest assured that I won’t hurt her.”

“Good. Because that really hurts.” The child looked at her sister. “Angela, I feel sleepy. I will talk to you later, okay?”

“Sure, Baby. Rest well. I love you so much.” Angela gave him a flying kiss.

The child did a flying kiss with matching sound. He was also forced to do so.

“He seems like a good kid.” Thorn commented when Andres is already out of screen.

Angela’s eyes sparked. “He really is. I adore him so much.”

Thorn smiled. “I can see that. But why did he looked white? Is he sick?”

“Yeah, he has leukemia. That’s one of the reasons why he is in Singapore…”

“Oh, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

“But why does something’s telling me that it’s not?” Angela’s face looked sad.

Angela sighed. “I love Andres so much. So it really hurts to know that he is sick. I want to be with him but---“

Angela didn’t continue. She sighed again.

“But what?”

“Never mind.” Angela closed her laptop. “You must be hungry. Let me take care of you and your food.”

Thorn held Angela’s shoulder. “I’m hungry but not again for food…”

Angela went red. “But we can’t, Thorn.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“It’s my first menstrual day…”

Thorn blinked. “Oh, I’m so sorry.”

Angela bowed her head. “Yeah.”

Thorn let go of her wife. “I-I understand.”

But in Thorn’s chest, he really didn’t. Because if Angela has a menstrual period, it just means she is not pregnant.

Thorn felt sad. They have failed. But then, he just thought it’s just a way for him to try harder. They have a lot of time and chances. He should not be in a hurt.

It’s just that Thorn really wanted to have a child as soon as possible. He wanted to know that if having another child will be the solution to forget all the wound of the past.
