I open my eyes gradually. I can only see a white ceiling and a white bulb. Nasilaw ako dahil sa puting ilaw na direktang tumatama sa aking mata kaya't napapikit na lamang akong muli.
"Am I dead already?" I asked myself. The only thing I remember is that I am drowned. No one helped me. No one dares to help me to get out from the water.
A footstep entered inside the room and I force myself not to look who is the owner of it. The door closed, maybe the owner of the footstep closed it. I naturally close my eyes and pretended to be asleep.
"Are you the guardian of the patient?" tanong ng hindi pamilyar ng boses.
"Opo, ako nga po." sagot naman na sa tingin ko ay siya ang may-ari ng yabag na iyon.
