Social media had been one of the most useful innovation humans have done through the process of time. It had been a constant reminder on how we have been experiencing the changes of our lifestyle. We have to admit that this is a part of our life now. It is the present, and it is surely going to be a whole lot different and advanced in thr future.
Social media helps us normal people to have contact with our family and friends. It makes it a lot easier to communicate, to inform, and to reach out. Social media makes it easier for the government to obtain data of affected familes, LGUs and basically all information that is needed to be able to help.
It had been a way to easily reach out and inform anyone. It gives everyone the comfort of life. Social media could reach farther than a gossip. And if truth be told, information could be passed all aound the globe, in just a click. Just one click. If we think about it, it's scary. But it'sa a whole new discussion.
Our present is a whole different level from the past. Social media differs from the traditional news outlets. Today, everyone could pass news. And not everything we read and see in socmed is real. Some might be true, but some could be misinformation.
Everyone could literally become a news anchor, a journalist, a harvard graduate, or a scientist. That is why it is important to know the limits and trusted sources of information to prevent panic, misinformation and everything that just shouldn't be believed in.
On the other hand, social media acts fast too. Like someone asking for help, a lot of people could see the posts and would serve as a door to opportunities which is a good thing too. Social media is faster than the television, radio and other traditional news sources. Even thos mentioned get information in social media. It is safe to say for me that socmed is a new news source...we just have to be meticulous on what is real and what is not.
