Chapter 4: The Kiss

After her first-ever Dinner sa future, Dom was just so tired to hang out with the family, so she just made her way upstairs sa kwarto ni Dylan. She saw  Dylan's guitar and play a tune lazily on the bed. The thought that Sam is with her in the future makes her headaches even more. She let the guitar stand beside the bed, she stood up and make sure that the curtains were closed. She hates waking up with the sun all over her face, she lay her body flat, took a deep heavy sigh, and drifted to sleep.

After hours of sleep, nagising si Dom from a soft knock on the door. She shifted her body to her right to look at the door. The door slowly opened and Older Sam peeked inside. She saw that the teenage Dom has just woken up and it made her smile. Naglakad si Samantha papunta sa may bintana and was about to open the windows but Dom raised her hands in protest.

"Don't-"

"I know... Inaayos ko lang" Older Sam said and she walked to Dylan's room and picking the mess and made sure the room was neat and clean.

"Thanks..." Dom said as she sat down on the bed. She just watches Older Sam walk around and she looks really different now.

She looks hot, yes! Even the woman is four months pregnant! But the other Sam... The annoying one is I don’t know because my annoyance for her surpasses the fact that she's actually really cute. Dom told herself as she follow every single path Older Sam is taking.

"Do you like what you're seeing?" Older Sam asked and smiled. Dom turns red and shakes her head as she frantically waves her hands infront of her.

"What?! No! I was just-" Dom tries to defend herself.

"I meant these..." sabi ni Samantha as she address the musical instruments in Dylan's room as a smile crept to her face, clearly not what she meant but she can clearly remember how cute Dom is when they were still younger.

"Ow? That?" Dom asked and was a bit embarrassed and Older Sam laugh at her. "It’s pretty cool...yeah, pretty cool."

"Buti naman. I just want to make sure you had a good night’s sleep, now change your clothes and go downstairs for breakfast.." Sabi ni Samantha and Dom nod. "Your Sam is downstairs helping my wife cook... You're a bit terrible on that department."

Dom smiles and nods.

Wait-No! My Sam? What's that even supposed to mean?! Dom thought to herself acting like it offended her greatly.

"Uhm yeah... I'll be down in a bit..." Sabi ni Dom and Older Sam smiles and exits the room. Dom grabbed her towel and her clothes for today that belong to Granny Dominique. She's still thinking what the hell just happened. She opened the bathroom door and walked in and she's a bit too jumpy today. Nagulat siya sa sarili niyang reflection sa salamin. Then she looked at herself and smiles.

"Good morning gorgeous..." Dom said to herself smiling, then her face shifted from a smile to a complete horror when she realized what she just did "Ay ano ba yan! Nagiging habit ko ng kausapin sarili ko!" sabi ni Dom and she internally cringed sa ginawa niya.

Dom took a shower and let her towel rest on her shoulders. She walk down the stairs drying her hair when someone called her.

"Alexis!!!!" The little girl shriek in excitement as she saw Dom, Dom gave Aubrey a smile and the girl held her hands.

"Good morning Bree..." Dom greeted the girl.

Aubrey stopped walking. Tumingin si Dom sakanya with a questioning look and the little girl smiles.

"What?

"I’m tired..." Aubrey said and Dom just stares at her.

"O-kay?" Dom said and she heard another footstep coming towards them.

"Gusto niyang magpabuhat sayo..." Dianne said informing Dom.

"Ow?" Dom said and Aubrey smile as she nods. "Okay..." sabi ni Dom and she kneeled down, lift Aubrey up and carry her downstairs.

Pagbaba nila they were greeted by a smiling Older Sam.

"Good morning Mom..." Dianne greeted her mother and kissed her on the cheek. Aubrey reached her hands papunta sa mommy niya at agad namang lumakad si Dom papunta sakanya at binigay si Aubrey kay Samantha.

"Good morning Mommy..." Aubrey greeted her mommy with a kiss and she touched her mom's baby bump. "Good morning little brother!"

"How about Mama?" Older Dom shouted from the kitchen and lumapit si Dianne sa Mama niya at bumaba si Aubrey sa pagkakabuhat sa kanya ng mommy niya, at tumakbo papunta kay Dominique.

"Good morning Ma!" Dianne greeted as she flip a slice of scrambled egg to her bread.

"Akala ko hihintayin mo si Krystal bago kumain?" Dominique asked her daughter and Dianne shrug and took a bite on her bread.

But besides those exchanges of the family, Sam thought as she chop some onions that Dom carrying Aubrey is the cutest thing she has ever seen... Dom and Sam exchange uncomfortable smiles across the room. When Older Dom coughed she got Sam's attention and it cut Dom and Sam's staring contest.

Sam pretend to chop the onions and Older Dom smiled and shakes her head.

"So..." Sam started to keep her calm and redeem herself. "Sino si Krystal?"

"Ella's daughter..." sabi ni Dominique and Sam's eyes grew wide.

"Ow? Talaga?! Wow! Sino napangasawa ni Besh?!" Tanong ni Sam and Dominique gave her a smile.

"I'll let you guess when you saw Krystal..." Older Dom said and Sam nods.

Then everyone heard the buzz on the door. Aubrey run towards the door and got a hard time opening it, so Dylan who was just walking down the stairs helped her sister and opened the door.

"Ate Krys!" Aubrey shouted and she jumps up and down and everyone saw the girl entered mimicking Aubrey, she's jumping up and down too. Older Sam smiled and Dom watch Aubrey smiling as Older Samantha leaned on her side.

"She's really hyper isn't she?" Samantha asked Dom. Dom looked at her and nods.

"Aubrey's pretty intense..." Sabi ni Dom and Older Sam giggled. "I bet she gets that from you.."

"Undeniably..." sabi ni Samantha and Krystal walk towards her and smile.

"Tita Sam!!!" The girl greeted and hugged Older Sam.

"Hi Krys... Nakaalis na ba parents mo?" Tanong ni Samantha.

"Yes tita... Kanina pa, Excited nanaman sila sa kung ano nanamang ginagawa ni Kuya..." sabi ni Krystal and she peeked on Samantha's back to see Dianne smiling waiting for her. "Hi Besh!"

"Hi Besh!" Dianne greeted her, they hugged and nagbeso sila.

"Krystal..." Older Dom called out from the kitchen and Krys smiled at her.

"Good morning tita Ly!" Krystal shouted and Dianne dragged her to the kitchen.

"Meet the worst cook in the planet na maghahanda ng breakfast natin today..." sabi ni Dianne as they approached the dining table and pointing at her Mama.

"On that case... Do you need a stepmom?" Krystal asked as she wriggled her brow. Older Dom ends up laughing.

"K! Please! Stop!" Dianne said to her best friend. "That is gross!"

"What? The whole school thinks your mom is really hot.." sabi ni Krystal.

"Yeah? Think. Hindi totoo..." sabi ni Dianne and her mommy walked towards them.

"Let me tell you, honey... It’s true..." Older Sam said as she wrapped her arms around her wife's waist.

"Why is everyone ganging up on me?" Dianne asked and they all smile. Dianne take her sit beside Krystal and Dylan took the sit beside Dianne.

"Alex... Dim... Maupo na din kayo!" Sabi ni Dominique as she let a giggle pagtawag kay Sam, Dmitri is still a ridiculous name for a girl. Umupo si Dom at tumabi si Sam sakanya, si Aubrey naman umupo sa tabi ni Sam.

Pagtingin naman ni Krystal kay Dom at Sam, her eyebrow quirk and looked at her bestfriend.

"What's this?" Krystal asked her best friend.

"Krys..." Older Dom called her. "Pwede bang wag mo ng banggitin sa mommy at daddy mo to?"

"Pero bakit-" Krystal suddenly got a lot of questions in her head.

"Hindi rin namin alam... Just keep this to yourself..." Sabi ni Dominique and Krystal nods slowly looking at Dom and Sam. Then Dominique looked at her wife from across the table.

So the seating arrangement will be, Dominique and Samantha on the opposite ends of the table. On the right part, there will be Dom, Sam, and Aubrey. Sitting across them were Dylan, Dianne, and Krystal.

Dom let out a deep sigh, she's in between the two Sam. How f*****g how.

Fuck my life. Dom thought.

Then Older Dom whipped her head towards her and lift an eyebrow.

"Really?" Dom asked her Older self and she nods. Dom just shakes her head.

"So..." Older Sam started. "Me and Mama will go buy foods for Christmas eve..." Then older Sam looked at Dianne. "You're the eldest, bantayan mo yung mga kapatid mo. Lalong lalo na si Aubrey..."

"Yes Mommy..." sabi ni Dianne and her mama looked at her in disbelief.

"Totoong buhay ba to? You haven't up for a protest?" Dominique asked her daughter.

"I don’t have a choice right?" Dianne snarky replied.

"Wow..." Dominique smiled at her daughter as Samantha nodded while smiling.

"Maybe I’m growing up Mama... Dont be shocked, para namang akala mo hindi ako magiging responsible..." sabi ni Dianne.

"Or maybe... She's having a crush on Krystal's brother at ayaw niyang malaman niyo..." sabi ni Dylan and everyone on the table looked at her, even Krys.

"What?" Sam asked her best friend.

"You little fucker! Pinapakeelaman mo ba yung phone ko?!" Dianne shouted and Older Dom’s eyes bulged out.

"Dianne, would you please refrain from your cursing? You're grossing out your little brother!" Sabi ni Samantha as she rubbed her baby bump and Dianne looked at her mom.

"Sorry, mom..." Sabi ni Dianne with her apologetic eyes then she shot daggers on Dylan's position.

"So... Di... Are you really dating my brother?" Krystal asked. "Bakit hindi ko alam?"

"Because... Ayoko ngang malaman nila Mama... Lalong lalo na si Mommy!" Sabi ni Dianne.

"You are not dating him! Carbon copy siya ng Daddy niya!" Samantha told her daughter and looked in Krystal’s direction. "Krys, it’s just your brother okay? Hindi ka kasama... I like you."

"Oh? Yeah sure tita... Pareho lang tayo, ang yabang kaya ni kuya." Sabi ni Krystal and Older Sam nods really fast to established her agreement.

"Come on, Honey... Jake isn’t that bad," Sabi ni Dominique sa asawa niya and she gave Dianne a wink.

"Yeah, honey Jake isn’t that bad..." Dianne mimics her Mama while looking at Krystal.

"Jacob is Christopher’s high school version multiply by 100 more... I don’t like him for you," Older Sam said with finality and you can see a frown on Dianne's face.

Dom was shocked that Krystal and Jacob were Topher's children, while Sam's eyes bulged out that her bestfriend marries her enemy number 2. Yes, 2, Dom's still her number 1 enemy.

"Okay... Hello? Family? Tapusin na natin tong breakfast and whose time to do the dishes?" Older Dom asked to control the tension.

"Ako ma..." Dylan said as he finish his plate.

"Okay... Kuya wash these and then you can all do whatever you want, and please si Aubrey..." sabi ni Dominique as she address the last part to Dianne and Dylan.

Dianne stood up and drag Krystal with her upstairs.

"Dianne Michele! Kunin mo si Aubrey maghuhugas ng pinggan si Dylan!" Older Dom shouted at her daughter but no answer.

"Uhm... Ako na lang magaalaga kay Aubrey" Sam volunteered and Dominique looked at her, as the other Dom help Dylan with the plates.

"Sure?" Dominique asked her.

"Opo..." sabi ni Sam and Older Sam grab Dominique's arm.

"Honey she'll do great... She's me remember?" Samantha told her wife and Dominique smiled and was about to kiss her wife but Older Sam stopped her. "Hon you ate eggs..."

"Oh? Right..." sabi ni Dom and she just kiss Samantha's cheek.

Umalis na yung mag asawa at naiwan sa living room si Sam kasama si Aubrey, nanunuod sila ng cartoon na ngayon lang nakita ni Sam. Well, si Aubrey nanunuod, si Sam nakatingin lang kay Dylan at Dom na naghuhugas ng pinagkainan nila.

"Hey, buddy... You okay?" Dom asked Dylan as they wash the dishes.

"Nagalit ata si Ate sakin..." sabi ni Dylan.

"Lilipas din yun... You just told your parents her secret, of course she's mad.." Sabi ni Dom and Dylan looked at her and smiled.

"Hey... Alex..." Dylan called Dom as he checks on Aubrey then tumingin ulit siya kay Dom. "Gusto mo bang tumugtog mamaya?"

"Huh?"

"Tara, mamaya, you can jam with me or just help me with it! Meron kasi akong ginagawang mix and I really want your input." Sabi ni Dylan and Dom smile and nod. "Cool!" Dylan dries his hands at lumapit kay Sam at Aubrey as Dom watches the interaction.

"Bree... Let's go upstairs, you want to watch?" Dylan asked her sister.

"Watch? What?" Aubrey asked him adoringly.

"Alex and I... You can sing if you want," Dylan told her sister and he winks at Dom.

"Can Ate Dim come too?" Aubrey asked as she locked her hands with Sam.

"If ate Dim wants to..." sabi ni Dylan and Dom walk towards them.

"Ano Dmitri?" Dom asked giggling. "You want to join us?"

"Shut up Dom... I mean Alex." Sam said and was shocked because she had a tongue slip.

Dylan threw a devilish smirk at Sam and Dom laughed. Aubrey drags her upstairs and now they're all in Dylan's room.

"So grab your thing..." sabi ni Dylan kay Dom and Sam and Aubrey made their way to the bed. "Oh? No... You get the drums"

"Okay..." Dom said as she took her to sit on the stool. She held the sticks and twirled them on her fingers. Sam watch her intently.

Dylan strummed on his guitar as his head bobbed up and down with the beat.

"Now..." Dylan said and Dom join in with the drums as Aubrey jumps up and down with the beat on the bed and Sam's watching the other side of Dom she haven't seen before. The beat ended and Dylan writes something on his notes.

"Wow... I didn't know you could play drums" sabi ni Sam and Dom looked at her.

"Were even, di ko din alam na marunong kang magluto" sabi ni Dom and she gave Sam a smile. Sam shakes her head out of the bubble because smiling Dom is evil Dom, and evil Dom always causes troubles.

Then the door swung open.
