Chapter Eighteen: Famous

Nang makapasok ako sa loob ng bahay ay nalungkot ako, di ko alam kung bakit pero may dalawang rason ako na hindi ko malaman kung ano sa dalawa ang totoo.

Nalulungkot ba ako dahil natapos na yung pagsasama namin ni Khairus, o dahil nakita ko si Sage? Ewan ko ba.

"Phoebe nahuli ka nang uwi, mag linis ka na muna ng katawan at iinitin ko ang pagkain mo." Saad ni ate Cecillia.

"Kahit mamaya na po ate, kakatapos lang po namin kumain ni Khai e, magpahinga ka na po, ako na lang mag iinit kapag kakain na ako." Saad ko.

"Khai? May bago kang kaibigan?" Tanong ni ate Sita.

"Opo, Khairus po ang pangalan niya, di ko natanong yung last name niya pero magkaklase kami sa halos buong subject." Saad ko.

"Ayos yan para hindi lang si Sage ang kaibigan mo." Saad ni ate Sita bago ako umakyat papunta sa kwarto ko.

Nang pumasok ako sa kwarto ko ay tumingin muna ako saglit sa may bahay nila Sage bago pumasok sa banyo.

Pagkalabas ko ng banyo ay saktong may nag message sa akin at pag tingin ko si Khai iyon.

hi Phoebe! this is me Khairus, I got your number from one of your maid earlier, is it okay or you find it weird?

Kumunot naman ang noo ko, why would he do that. I just shrugged and typed my reply.

Me:

It's okay. Did you got home safe?

Pagkasend ko pa lang ay nabasa niya agad at nag reply agad.

Unknown number:

yes dw, do you mind if I add you on f*******:? that's your only social media, I can't find you on insta e.

Me:

Sure.

After hitting send, nakita ko agad na nag send ng friend request si Khairus.

I stalk his account and damn, my jaw drop. Hindi halatang model siya ng sikat na brand sa Australia.

His account is verified with 13.7 million followers and 6 followings. I got curious so tinignan ko kung sino yung finafollow niya just to make my jaw drop more.

He's following the account of the brand he modeled on his cover photo and his family, and now including me.

I bit my fingers cause I don't know how to react, is it normal? I mean he's like a celebrity to me now and he is following me! Mind you that it's obvious because he is just following six accounts!

Pikit mata kong inaccept ang friend request niya at humingang malalim nang napindot na.

Khairus Marucci: hi!

Me: You didn't tell me that you're famous.

Khairus Marucci: wdym I'm not that famous

I scoffed. Totoo bang humble lang siya o gusto niyang purihin ko pa siya.

Me: Are you humble for real or you just want me to praise you.

'Khairus reacted 😆 to your message'

Small smile appeared on my lips when I saw it on the notifications. I don't know why I find it funny.

Khairus Marucci: hey, talk to you later I have some urgent things to do, brb :)

Me: Okay, take care!

I put my phone down and look at the mirror. I smiled, I can't believe I have a new friend that so famous, he is so big time I might ask him for a photograph and autograph tomorrow.

I laugh at the thought and shook my head, I'm thinking so many useless thing.

"How come I didn't notice him, hindi halata na sikat siya kasi walang nagkakandarapa sa kaniya sa school." Natawa na naman ako nang maisip ko kung ano yung ginagawa kapag may nagkakandarapa sa isang tao.

Habang tumatawa ako sa sarili ko napatingin ako sa bintana and to my shock, Sage is looking at me intently.

My smile slowly faded and looked away. I don't know what to do so humiga na ako sa kama, blind spot naman to sa bintana kaya di niya ako makikita.

I opened my phone again and search for Khairus, napangiti naman ako nang isesearch ko pa lang ang 'Khai' ay lumabas na agad ang buong pangalan niya. He sure is famous.

Pagkasearch ko ay maraming videos, pictures, and article ang lumabas.

Pinindot ko na yung isang video niya na this week lang pinublish and he sure knows he's hot and handsome at the same time because of his poise.

I spend my time watching his videos and reading some articles about him. Kahit di ako ang magulang niya natutuwa ako para sa mga achievements niya.

Nang magsawa ako ay pinatay ko na ang cellphone ko at binuksan ang laptop ko, nag search na lang ako ng mga pwede i advance study kasi feeling ko this days I spent less time on reading.

Nag search ako ng mga advance lesson for college na kukunin kong course kasi halos nabasa ko na lahat ng topic para sa grade level ko ngayon.

When I found a perfect site para sa ia-advance study ko ay nagpatugtog ako because I can't focus without music.

Magpapatugtog na sana ako kaso halos lahat ng mga nasa playlist ko ay parang mga nakakasawa na. But then I remembered Sage's playlist na binigay sa akin.

I wore my headphone then played it and I immediately feel the calmness of the first song and the lyrics. I love how creative the song is, it's about a man who loses her girl and wants her back and at the same time he want to go back in time and forget everything they had and fall in love with each other again.

The second song is also calm and perfect for studying, the song is about a man admitting that he is falling in love with a girl for the first time but also scared to love her.

Lahat ng kanta sa playlist ni Sage ay walang sad song, it's all about love and how good love is.

The songs really made me focus on my readings that it made me want to read more but kailangan ko pa uli mag hanap ng site kung saan pwedeng mag advance study. While searching, I received a shocking notification.

Sage:

I miss you so much, can we talk?
