Matteo's POV One sunny afternoon, I sat in my favourite chair in the office, sipping my coffee as I made a phone call to my trusted investigator. I assigned the investigator to watch Aurora, my long-time friend, who seemed to be getting into questionable situations lately. He said that Aurora spotted and chased him. I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of her running after someone. "She acts more like a street kid than a wealthy heiress," I said, amused. I decided to call off the investigator to avoid any risk of him getting caught. As long as she comes home at the right time, I'll just leave her be for now. "Aurora, where are you? I might be late coming home, so if you need anything from me, just text," I told Aurora, even though I knew she probably wouldn't need anything. I waited for her reply but still didn't receive any texts, which annoyed me even more. "Whoa, calm down, Matteo! I get that you're frustrated, but you know Aurora can be a bit of a free spirit. "Anong ibig mong sabihin?" nagtatakang tanong ko. "Alam ko na si Aurora iyang inaantay mo. Si Aurora lang ang kaya kang inisin ng ganyan na parang walang kalaban laban hahah," tukso ni Enzo sa akin na ikinailing nalang ng ulo ko. Leonard said, "Yeah, she's always been like that. Remember when your Dad told you she disappeared for a whole weekend without telling anyone? It's like she lives in her little bubble." I sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "I know, I know, but it's just so annoying! I always have to deal with her antics, and she doesn't even realize the consequences of her actions." Enzo tried to ease the tension. "Well, she's different from us, but that's what makes her interesting, right? She's not your typical heiress." My frustration escalated as I relentlessly attempted to reach Aurora through calls and texts, all in vain. Galit na talaga ako sa loob loob ko at pinipigilang ko lang na huwag itapon ang cellphone ko pader. However, I suppressed my emotions, not wanting my friends to notice the boiling rage within. Seeking answers, I called the Villa's household staff to inquire about Aurora's whereabouts. I heard noises sa kabilang linya at alam ko na kung ano ang pinagkakaabalahan ni Aurora, Enzo, Leonard, and I decided to head to the Villa to investigate the commotion. Upon arrival, my suspicions were confirmed. My staff reported that Aurora had invited classmates for a group study, but the boisterous sounds only intensified my irritation. "What is this madness? "Easy there, man. Keep your temper in check," Enzo cautioned me. "No, I can't!" galit na sagot ko. Ignoring caution, I approached the entrance, demanding answers from the household staff. Fearfully, they pointed me toward the pool area. Pagdating ko sa pool area ay nakita ko ang mga kaibigan ni Aurora. Hinanap ng mga mata ko si Aurora pero mas lalong hindi ko nagustuhan ang mga nakita ko. My heart wavered between frustration and captivity as I saw the scene. My heart sank as I saw Aurora kissing a man by the poolside. The sight ignited an even fiercer rage within me. A crowd surrounded Aurora and her companions at the pool, none of whom were familiar to me. Her best friend was absent when I checked the faces of the people in the pool. "What does this mean?!" I bellowed, confronting Aurora. "Matteo? I thought you'd be coming home late," Aurora retorted nonchalantly. As she emerged from the pool, my anger reached its peak. She wore a daring two-piece swimsuit, seemingly oblivious to the attention she drew from the other men. "Woah! So, this is Aurora? Not bad, huh," Leonardo teased me. "Shut up!" I snapped at Leonardo, who found my reaction amusing. "It seems like someone's going to devour another person," Enzo taunted further. "Hi, Matteo! These are my friends," Aurora said with a smile. "Mrs Jane!" I called. "Yes, Matteo?" Mrs Jane asked, sensing my agitation. "Bring Aurora inside and have her change into decent clothes!" I commanded angrily. "Okay, Matteo," Mrs Jane complied before pulling Aurora away. "Matteo, what's has gotten into you? Aurora protested, trying to escape Mrs Jane's hold. "You! Get out of the pool!" I yelled at the man Aurora was kissing. The man surfaced from the water, glaring at me with defiance. He exuded confidence, making it evident that he was no pushover. "Who are you? And what's your relationship with Aurora?" I demanded. "Her boyfriend. Why? Got a problem?" the man retorted. I knew he couldn't afford to engage in a confrontation at that moment. "Get the hell out of my property! All of you, leave!" I roared, struggling to contain the turmoil inside me. "We don't need your permission to leave. We'll take our leave, but we'll inform your sister first," the man replied firmly. "Sister?" I almost forgot that he had been introducing Aurora as his sister since she arrived at the Villa. Only the household staff and my close friends knew the truth. "Yeah, her brother. Right, Matteo?" Enzo reminded him. Looking at Enzo, I recalled the facade I had kept. A silent tension hung as Aurora's companions left the Villa. The air inside the Villa grew tense as Aurora returned after her guests had left. My eyes bore into hers, my frustration and anger simmering below the surface. "Finally decided to show up, huh?" I spat, unable to hide my displeasure. Aurora looked taken aback by the intensity of my gaze but attempted to maintain her composure. "I was just having some fun with my friends. What's the big deal?" "The big deal? You were making out with some guy in front of everyone! Do you have any idea how embarrassing that was for me?" My voice rose with each word, my emotions spilling over. Aurora crossed her arms defensively. "Oh, please! You're always acting like you're in charge of everything. I can do what I want!" "That's not the point! It's about basic respect and consideration for others. You didn't even bother to answer my calls or texts. Do you know how worried I was? Or do you just not care?" Her eyes flickered with annoyance and guilt, but she quickly masked it with defiance. "Why should I answer you? It's none of your business what I do!" "It is my business! You are under my care, Aurora. Your parents ask me to look out for you, but it seems you only care about yourself," I shot back, my patience wearing thin. Aurora rolled her eyes. "Oh, please, spare me the lecture. You're just being overdramatic, as usual." Overwhelmed by frustration, I clenched my fists. "You know what? Maybe I am done with all of this. I can't keep dealing with your reckless behaviour and selfish attitude. You're just too much to handle!" Aurora's facade cracked momentarily, revealing a hint of hurt beneath her tough exterior. "Fine, if that's how you feel, maybe you shouldn't take care of me anymore!" The words stung, but I refused to back down. "Maybe that's for the best. At least I won't constantly worry about what mess you'll drag me into next."
