I stormed out of the Mansion, needing to escape the anger that consumed me.
"Matteo, let's end this before things escalate further," Enzo advised as we made our way to my peaceful resthouse.
From that day on, I sought solace at the resthouse, away from confrontations.
I vowed not to bother with Aurora any longer.
"Enzo, I don't have the time or energy to babysit a rebellious teenager. Every day, she pushes my patience to the limit. It seems like there's no hope of her changing her bratty ways. How is she supposed to handle the company's responsibilities with such an attitude?" I sighed, feeling exasperated.
"We understand your frustration, but how will you guide her if you're not around?" Leonard questioned, showing genuine concern.
I let out a deep sigh, torn between my emotions and my earlier decision.
"I know, but perhaps Aurora needs to find her way," I replied, my gaze drifting towards the serene sea.
Enzo said, "It's a tough choice, pero minsan kailangan mo syang pakawalan para matuto."
"You guys go ahead," I redirected the conversation, attempting to shift focus, "Leyla will be here soon. I'd rather spend time with her than deal with this now."
Leonard teased, "Ah, is something brewing between you and Leyla?"
I laughed, "Well, not officially.
As I watched the sun setting behind the mountains, my mind drifted back to when I first met Aurora, the little girl who used to be the center of attention, pulling off cute antics and dramas to capture my parents and her parents' hearts.
She was three years old, and I was eleven.
It was a warm summer's day, and I had just returned home after high school abroad.
I remember stepping into the grand living room of the Mansion, and that's when I saw her for the first time. Aurora, with her big, innocent eyes and curly golden hair, was the picture of adorable mischief.
She was trying to stack her toys in a precarious tower while giggling uncontrollably at her attempts.
Her parents, prominent figures in the business world, were often busy with their responsibilities, and Aurora sought ways to gain their attention and affection.
She had a flair for drama, and I soon discovered that she could turn the simplest things into grand spectacles just to have her parents' eyes on her.
One particular afternoon, she found an old, oversized hat and put it on, pretending to be a famous explorer setting off on a daring expedition through the living room.
Her imagination was boundless, and it was a joy to witness her innocent enthusiasm.
Another time, during a family gathering, Aurora noticed her parents engrossed in a serious conversation with some guests.
Feeling left out, she boldly decided to showcase her dancing skills on the coffee table, spinning and twirling as if she were in her world.
Her parents couldn't help but chuckle, and despite their busy schedules, they never missed an opportunity to praise her, showering her with affection and laughter.
Nakikita ko sila Tito Salvatore but not Aurora.
"Oh you are here!" nakangiting sabi ko.
"Oh I am sorry nothing Leyla.
"I know right?!" I can be of big help if Matteo needed one," Leonard laughed.
"Shut up you too! Nobody is allowed to be near her!" hindi ko napigilang sagot sa dalawa.
"Come on Matteo, she will be 18 soon so it will be ok. Atleast give us a chance," hirit pa ni Enzo.
"I told you she is off limits!" inis na sagot ko.
"Let her decide ok?" hirit ni Leonard.
"Maybe she will change if one of us will be her boyfriend," walang prenong sabi ni Enzo sa akin na lalo kong ikinagalit.
"Are you kidding me?! She is mine!
