“Mommy!” Agad yumakap sa akin ni Millie nang makita ako sa labas ng eskwelahan niya. “What are you doing here?”
Dito na ako dumeretso pagkatapos ng meeting ko kay Engineer Lucas para sunduin si Millie at Reid, tulad ng plano.
“I promise to cook for you and Reid today, right?” I said. “So, I got out of my work earlier than usual.”
“Hello, Misis Andrius,” bati sa akin ni Reid.
“You are so formal, Reid,” natatawa kong sambit. “Just call me Tita, okay?”
Nakita ko ang pamumula ng pisngi niya kaya agad siyang nag-iwas ng tingin sa akin ngunit tumango din naman siya.
“Anyway, I am here to pick you up and to meet Reid’s parents.”
Pareho silang natigilan at tumitig sa akin. There was a hint of worry in their eyes, then they looked at each other.
