Rainiellaine’s POV
It felt heavy.
It’s just 6:25 AM, our classes are 8:30. Aira, Icelle, Jade and Lana’s class are at 7AM that’s why they need to go to school early.
We went to a huge mall, it’s as big as the Ayazaki Mall.
“Good Morning, sir.” The security guard greeted him
“You own this place?” I asked confused
He’s a Hamilton, right?
“Co-owner. Majority of this place belongs to the Ayazaki Corporation.” He said
We went to a gift shop.
“So tell me about this person we’re buying a gift for.” I said
“She’s beautiful, thoughtful and very loving.” He said
“Ohhkay.” I said and went to the shelves.
I saw a necklace with a star pendant. A pair of dangling earrings accompanies it.
“This one, Ice.” I said he went here and I pointed at it.
“Bibilhin niyo po sir? Unique po iyan.” The sales lady said
“You sure?” He asked
“Based on your description. Yep, I’m 100% sure.” I said
“Okay.” He said and turned to the saleslady
“I will buy this.” He said and gave his credit card
The sales lady asked us to choose which box. I told him that he should choose the favorite color of the person he’s giving it to.
“Ang swerte niyo naman po, ma’am.” She told me
“It’s not for me.” I said
She looked embarassed because of that.
“So wala na tayong pupuntahan?” I asked
“None. Were done.” He said and we went out
Inside the car he gave me a pen and the box.
“What will I do?” I asked
“Write a message.” He said
“Okay.” I said
“What’s the occasion anyway?” I asked
“Read it.” He said
Sungit.
I wrote:
‘Happy Birthday. I love you.

After writing I placed it in the girft bag in front of me.
Out of curiosity I peeked at the tag in the bag.
“What are you doing?” he suddenly asked
“Nothing.” I said
That was close.
I didn’t see what it was though.
When we arrived at school, I was about to open the door when he went out when he opened it for me.
“You didn’t have to do it.” I said
“I do.” He said
Probably he’s pertaining to grattitude.
We went in and I can feel thousands of daggers and their whispers.
‘Bakit magkasama sila?’
‘Kebago-bago lumalandi.’
‘bagay sila.’
‘Sila ba?’
‘Di naman maganda.’
‘Maputi lang.’
‘Yuck nerd.’
‘Bakit kasama ng hampaslupang nerd na yan si Prince Ice?’
I slightly distance and luckily Ice didn’t notice it.
When we went inside the room everyone was looking at us.
Mia dropped out but Keith decided to stay.
I went to my seat and Ice did the same. His seat is 2 chairs apart from mine.
“Good Morning Class.” Sir Caleb said
“Good Morning, Sir Caleb.” We greeted back
“Okay class, I’m going to assign your permanent seats in my subject.” He said so we all took our things and went at the back
“Blah blaha blah Hamilton, Lopez, Miyamoto, blah blah blah blah.” He said so we sat down
Well there are 3 chairs per column. There are 27 of us here in this class.
I sat between Ice and Keith.
“So our lesson for today is blah blah blah.” He continued to discuss things we must know about communicating.

After our com. Arts we went to RM C05 for Music and Arts then RM C08 for ICT.
Were currently in our langguage class. Me and Ice, I mean.
Keith’s not in this subject because he has other subject. He is also a Business Management student but he is not in the same section or casa as us.
I still don’t get why it is called casa.
“Class let me ask you, what is language for you?” Ms Lindsay asked
I raised my hand and she called me “Lopez.” She said
“Language is a bridge that connects people. Without it, misunderstanding, quarrels and conflicts may happen.” I answered while standing
“Very good, Ms. Lopez.” She said
I returned to my seat then continued to write notes. We are currently studying

Well I want to speak Filipino so I will start speaking.
“Rainie, let’s go.” Rain said and held my hand
Kasasabi ko lang that I’ll speak Filipino eh.
Well I’m not used to calling him Rain. Like duh nakasanayan no not nakasanayan well I’m more used with Ice than Rain.
We went to the cafeteria and ate.
Looking for my great friends?
I’m 4th year but I have a different schedule from them.
While we are eating I can feel the glares their sending to me.
“I won’t be attending class next next week.” He said
“Huh? Why not?” I asked
Di ko lang sure but why is he even saying this to me?
“We’ll be out of town for a couple of days.” He said
Really?
Anong meron at halos lahat ng tao naalis?
First Mia, then Aunt Aisha now, him.
“Sinong mga kasama?” I asked
Wala akong karapatan but I’m somehow curious.
“My parents, Catherine’s parents and Cath.” He said
“Catherine? Cath?” I asked
“She’s my cousin.” He said
“Where is she?” I asked
“States. She’ll be home later.” She said
Catherine, huh?
After our afternoon classes, I called Aira’s phone.
“Aira.” I said when she picked up the call
“Where are you, Rainiellaine?” she asked
“What time did you arrive?” Lana asked
Oh well as usual.
Naka loudspeaker ako
“I’m at the parking lot. I arrived at 7:15AM.” I answered
“Where did you go?” Jade asked
“Mall. Can you please stop asking question for a moment, I need to say something.” I said
“Shoot.” Aira said
“I might be coming home late.” I said
“We’re here.” Rain asked
“Who’s that?” Lana asked
“Tell yah later.” I said and hanged up
Well we’re at the airport. Catherine, Rain’s cousin called him earlier asking him to bring me along
She said she want to meet me.
“ICE!!” A short-haired girl came running towards us when we were at the arrival area
“Hi!” she greeted me after she hugged Rain
“Uh Hi?” I replied unsurely
“I’m Catherine, Ice’s cousin. You are?” she said
“I’m Rainiellaine.” I replied
“Where are you from? Where do you study?” she asked
“It’s getting late.” Rain said and we went to the parking area. He placed Catherine’s luggage in the compartment.
I sat in the backseat then Catherine sat beside me.
“Start driving, kuya Ice.” She said
“Kuya?” I asked
“He’s five months older than me.” She explained
“So where are you from? Where do you study?” she asked and started to bombard me with questions I can hardly answer
“Catherine, you’re asking too fast.” Rain said
“Fine I’ll start again.” She said and rolled her eyes
“Where are you from?” she asked
“New Jadecry.” I answered
Nakakagulat na ganito ka hyper ang pinsan ni Rain. They’re too opposite.
“Where do you study?” she asked again
“Seasonial Academy.” I answered
“Paano mo nakilala si Kuya Ice?” she asked
“Ah nagkabungguan kami. I didn’t expect na magkikita uli kami sa school.” I answered
“Ah. May boyfriend ka?” she asked
Parang nasamid ako dun. My gosh napaka straightforward ng pinsan niya.
“Wala.” I answered
Later on I noticed that he’s already driving to our village.
“Manliligaw? You know what tingin ko naman maganda ka behind those glasses.” She said
Feeling ko nahiya ako sa sinabi niya.
“Rainie, we’re here.” Sabi ni Rain
That’s when I notice that’s we’re infront of our house
“Salamat sa paghatid, Rain.” I said and smiled at him
“Sige, bye Catherine. Bye, Rain.” I said when I went off the car
“Aww. Till next time, Rainiellaine.” She said
