Jade’s POV
Rainiellaine’s acting weird these past few days. She doesn’t ride with us but she arrive as early as we do.
I wonder how.
“Rainiellaine.” I called her
“Yes?” she asked
“Who are you riding with these past few days?” I asked with a raised eyebrow
“None. I’m commuting.” She answered
“Really? Then you wouldn’t mind if we join you in commuting.” Lana said
“What for? We have a van, don’t we?” she asked confused
“Then why aren’t you riding with us?” Aira asked her
“It came from you. You said we have a van so we don’t have to commute, why are you doing it then?” I asked her
“For fun. Don’t be too KJ.” She said and smiled
“You can fool anyone but not us, Amber Rainiellaine Lopez.” Aira, Lana and I said in chorus
Icelle is just staring at Rainiellaine, waiting for a reaction.
“I’m not fooling you. You better know that.” She said went upstairs
“How was it, Icelle?” we asked her
“None. No unusual reaction.” She said
“Did you tape it?” Lana asked her
“Yeah. Mia received it.” She said
“Nag-text si Mia, she said Rainiellaine did act so weird with her reactions.” Aira said
“How long was it since you sent it to Mia?” I asked her
“Mia was watching the whole time. She’s in Skype.” Aira said
“We better trust her then. Mia know her and she can read people like open book if she wants to.” Lana said and we all agreed
The next day, we followed Rainiellaine. Well we told her we’re already leaving then we saw a car pick her up.
When we arrived at school, our suspicion was confirmed. She is riding with someone.
Not just someone. She’s riding with Ice Hamilton.
What’s happening?
“Rainiellaine.” We confronted her
“Aira, Jade, Icelle, Lana, What is it?” she asked
“Why are you together?” I asked
“I picked her up.” Ice said
“Since when are you picking up Rainiellaine?” Lana asked
“Since last week.” He asked
“They didn’t know, Rainie?” Ice asked
What? What did he call Rainiellaine?
Rainie?
“I’ll explain to them. See you later.” She said then Ice left her
“You got a lot of explaining to do, AMBER. RAINIELLAINE. LOPEZ.”Aira said emphasizing her name
“Uh. Oh well, I can’t hide anymore, can I?” she said then sighed
We pulled her to the garden.
The hell I care if we get late.
“Explain.” We told her
“Uh you see. Remember when we celebrated our win? We became friend then he asked me to help him regarding something that night. I didn’t say no becuase he is our friend then the next day he picked me up. That was the time that I didn’t ride with you guys. Sorry na...” She said
“You shouldn’t have lied to US.” Lana said emphasizing the word ‘US’
“I’m sorry. It was unintentional. I knew you’d bombard me with so many question so I decided to keep it myself besides today might be the last time he’ll be picking me up because this afternoon he’ll be leaving, he just came here to personally excuse himself.” Rainiellaine said
“Next time, don’t lie to us.” I told her
We went to the hallway when a group of girls came running towards us
“I missed you, Rainiellaine.” One of the girls said
“Aack C-catherine, I cannot breathe.” Rainiellaine said and the girl whom she called ‘Catherine’ let go of her
“Oops, Sorry, Rainiellaine.” She said
“By the way, these are my friends, Astrid, Eris, and Riley.” She said
“Hi. These are my best friends; Aira, Icelle, Lana and Jade.” I said
“Hi!” The girls greeted back at us.
Astrid Clymene Kirigaya Valdemore...
Looks like fate is that tricky. Fate brought you to us
“Will you be coming with us?” the girl Eris asked
“No. I’m not.” Rainiellaine said
“Bakit hindi? Girlfriend ka naman ni Kuya ah?” Catherine asked
That question took our attention.
“H-hindi ah. Magkaibigan lang kami ng pinsan mo.” Rainiellaine said
She did it. She mastered the art of lying to the point that we believed her too.
“Aww sayang. Akala ko pa naman naka move on na si Ice kay Sum.” Catherine said
Sum?
“Sige una na kami ah.” Rainiellaine excused
We passed by then we went to our classroom.
We have three subject together.
“Aira, Jade, Lana, Icelle..” Rainiellaine called us
“Hmm. Why?” Aira asked
“Can we speak Filipino? I mean it’s just a suggestion since we used to do that. If we are in a country with a national langguage that we can speak we would speak that langguage.” Rainiellaine said
“Okay. Cool.” I agreed
“Game.” Lana said
Icelle nodded and Aira smiled then agreed
When our teacher came he discussed the lesson then after our class we went to our next class which was on the second floor and we are currently at the first floor.
After our morning classes we decided to meet in the Cafeteria. Rainiellaine’s still in her class.
“I don’t like to wear glasses anymore, Aira.” I told her
“Jade, wag ka maarte. This is for our own good.” She replied
“But Aira. We’re being bullied. Hindi tayo sanay sa ganito.” Lana complained
“Aira naman, Lana’s right. Back in the states we don’t do this.” I agreed
“Fine. We won’t wear glasses starting now.” Aira said and we removed our glasses
Icelles’ silently eating.
Weird. It’s unusually quiet in the cafeteria.
We were surprised when a splash of water fell on us.
“What the?!” We exclaimed
Well Icelle and Aira remained calm but not us.
“Who did this?” we asked in chorus bith fuming mad
‘Mali tayo ng tinapunan.’
‘Sh*t mga transfer pa ata.’
‘Hindi naman sila yung mga nerds eh.’
‘Patay.’
“Well well well. How’s taking a bath, sl*ts?” A girl who has thicker make up than her face said
“What the hell is your problem with us?” Lana asked
“We’re transfer students. We don’t even know you.” I said trying to calm myself
“Aquata. Emerald.” Aira said
She’s warning us to keep our tempers. She call us with our firstnames if we are pissed or if we are losing our tempers.
“Bagay naman sa inyo.” A girl with silicon body said
“Well let us introduce ourselves.” A girl wearing yellow and black said
Is she a bee or what?
“I’m Sera, Sky’s girlfriend.” The girl with thick make up said
“I’m Lourdes, Thunder’s girlfriend.” The girl with silicon body said
“I’m Uelle, Cloud’s girlfriend.” The girl with Thick make up and big plastic chest said
“And I’m Trina, Neith’s girlfriend.” The girl wearing yellow and black said
“What the heck does that have to do with us?” Lana asked in her b***h mode
Oh b***h please. This girl’s not just a b***h but a s******c b***h.
“Lumayo layo kayo sa mga boyfriends namin. SL*TS!” she shrieked at her
Damn her voice is so damn irritating
“Sino may sabing girlfriends namin kayo?” A voice from behind said
I won’t look back. No I won’t
Fine.
I looked back and I saw the one who said it. Neith.
He’s with his friend and like Rainiellaine, Ice is not with them.
“Tol girlfriend mo yan? Yuck wala ka palang taste.” Cloud teased Sky
“Wag na uy. Walang binatbat yan sa Winter ko no.” Sky said
“Hindi naman pala nila kayo girlfriends.” Aira said in a calm tone
“Pasalamat kayo niligtas kayo ng SWG.” The girl with thick make up said
After that we faced the boys
“Wews naman. Ang ganda niyo pala kapag walang salamin.” Thunder said
“Thanks for the compliment.” Lana said
We were surprised when they removed their jackets and wrapped it around us
Sky to Icelle, Thunder to Aira, Cloud to Spring and Neith to me.
“B-bakit?” I stuttered
“Nakikitaan ka na.” He whispered
I felt my cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
I almost forgot that some sl*ts poured water and of course our uniforms are drenched.
We went to thy gym and took our spare uniforms
After that we went back to our classes.
I’m starting to worry about Rainiellaine.
I took out my phone while our teacher is not here yet.
To: Rainiellaine
Hey! Aira agreed to remove our glasses.
Stay safe.
After a while I received a text message.
From: Rainiellaine
Mkay. Thanks.
She’s probably on her way to the cafeteria. Her classes just ended if I remember correctly. I’m not like Icelle who has a photographic memory.
