Since it is my day off and I have to not let Onyx annoy me for the rest of the day, I decided to do something productive.
I dressed up in my usual attire: skinny jeans and a comfortable peach blouse.
I wanted to visit Kuya Winston at the hospital before checking out his kids and Ate Thalia at his home.
I forgot to tell you that Kuya Winston, our eldest brother, is a pediatrician.
He also happens to be the only sibling I am closest to. Kuya Walnut, on the other hand, the middle child, is the one whom I am always aloof at.
I don't know why. We seem to always get into each other's throats.
"Excuse me, is Dr. Winston Sizon in?" I asked the receptionist.
"Dr. Sizon will be down in fifteen minutes. He's currently doing his rounds. " The nurse said and smiled.
"Alright, thank you, Nurse Jen." I nodded and smiled.
I walked towards one of the empty lounges at the center of the hospital and sat.
I let my eyes observe people and doctors passing by. I noticed my vision got blurry so I pulled out my spectacles to wipe away the dust.
"-- Hey! Miss Drool!" I couldn't make out the words so I got curious who was being called at and raised my eyes to the voice approaching somebody.
"Whoa! I was right! It is you!" The doctor in his coat burst out a laughter.
I frowned when I noticed him approaching me.
This guy looks so familiar. Like I have seen him somewhere.
I hurriedly cleaned out my spectacles and put them on.
I scowled at him. The guy he was with laughed along with him.
"Wow! Even here, you're following me, Boss Onyx?" I asked and raised an eyebrow.
The guy he was with with a nametag that states, Joaquin M.D., silenced instantly at the mention of his name. He was switching glances between me and Onyx.
Onyx's then playful face turned into a grim, tight expression.
"I see, you have met my brother." He said and stepped closer towards me.
I was sitting at the lounge so it looked like this guy was towering over me.
Dr. Joaquin remained in his place beside him and threw me a serious and worried look.
I was about to open my mouth to throw a banter at him when I heard someone call my name.
"Sis! Clari!" I heard Kuya Winston's voice approaching me.
I moved my head to the side to find my brother jogging towards me in his doctor's coat.
Dr. Joaquin shot me an amused look while this annoying guy in front of me smirked and stepped aside to let my brother pass him.
"Hey, Trix! Bert! What's up?" Kuya Winston exclaimed and gave the two guys a manly hug in recognition.
"You know how we are. Always cool." Dr. Joaquin answered in a bored voice.
"This is insane! We work in the same hospital yet we barely see each other!" Kuya Winston remarked.
Just then, Kuya Winston finally acknowledged me and started introducing us.
"Oh hey, this is my little sis, Clarinet." Kuya Winston said to them. "Sis, these are Matrix and Alberto. My bros since college until now. "
I made sure to be cool and acted like I did not make a fool of myself so I gave them a smile.
"Nice meeting you, Kuya Albert and Matrix. " I said and gave a small wave.
It was Dr. Joaquin who held out his hand for a handshake which I gladly took.
"Nice meeting you too, Miss Beautiful." Dr. Joaquin said.
"Stop hitting on my sis, asshole!" Kuya Winston said and slapped his hand away. Dr. Joaquin just grinned.
"Doesn't look like she is. " Matrix mumbled and I shot him a glare.
"Oh, really? Your sister?. " Matrix asked feigning a surprised look at Kuya Winston. "Geez. I thought she's your helper. "
"You asshole!" I couldn't take it anymore so I slapped Matrix on his back and sides.
Dr. Joaquin and Kuya Winston laughed while watching us exchanged banters.
"Sis, stop it. The asshole's face will get ruined. He still has some wotk to do. His reputation might get ruined also. " Kuya Winston laughed and pulled my hand away.
"We'll get going bro. Let's get together this weekend. " Dr. Joaquin said and waved. "Bye, Miss Beautiful."
"I'll try. I'll seek my wife's permission." Kuya Winston grinned and led me to the cafe inside the hospital.
"Alright. Bye, Miss Drool." Matrix De Silva grinned at us before walking away.
