Sumapit ang alas kwatro ng hapon, napagpasyahan na naming umuwi.
The kids were already tired from swimming, and I could see how the excitement was starting to fade. Kaya and Khalil were sitting on the edge of the pool, their little bodies drenched and exhausted. Hali was still trying to splash around, but even she was slowing down.
“Mommy, are we really going home na?” tanong ni Kaya, her voice tinged with disappointment.
“Yeah, sweetie. Medyo late na, and we still have a long drive,” sagot ko, trying my best to sound cheerful, though inside, I was already mentally preparing myself for the chaos of getting everyone packed up and back in the car.
