I gripped my breath for a second before allowing it to flee and molded into a heavy sigh. I lifted my head high and passed through her. I promise to myself that I will never lose my control again over that woman whose head over heels with my cousin.
But, can I really do that? If both of them were pushing me to the edge.
I took some huge steps to find my way out of the cafeteria. I don't mind the curious stares that they're giving me.
"Lea, wait!" Kacy's voice from behind infiltrated my ears. Looks like she's eager to know regarding the outbreak of my rage.
"What? Not now, Kacy."
I'm dealing with my own irrational thoughts that are attacking me and her nagging was the last thing I want right now.
I still can't get rid of the annoyance I felt for Katrisha. Her lack of understanding and insufficient sense annoys me on how dumb she was!
"You lose your poise out there..." she muttered, her eyes were hovering over me.
"I know and I wouldn't wonder anymore if there would be huge news about me tomorrow in the bulletin board."
Napailing siya sa tinuran ko. The smile on her lips grasped also her eyes, looking like a fool in front of me. O-okay? What's with her?
"Why are you smiling like an idiot?" kunot-noo kong pahayag.
"I think you're cool out there. I don't mind the poise you've been preserving in your whole damn life. I'm liking your badass side, Lea. You are better like this than your usual portrait of kindness."
That was shocking though. I was bewildered, but I redeemed my composure and laugh softly.
"You're ridiculous, Kacy."
"It's better to be called like that than to be a woman without an intact brain cells, 'no?"
Nagkatinginan kaming dalawa bago sabay na napatawa.
"Exactly." I agreed with her statement.
Yet, our laugh withered when someone faked a cough. Kacy's lips quivers when she saw who's that person was.
I grimaced a bit and then frowned. I was murdering him inside my mind earlier! Ironic that he's here in front of me, breathing in flesh.
"Why are you here?" my brow lifted while asking him.
"Katrisha called me."
My forehead knotted in annoyance. Did that woman intend to make an official complaint to him? Wow. So, I appeared like a villainess here, huh?
Ang Jollibee naman ng isang 'yon! Bida ang saya.
"Ah. You are worried about your girlfriend then." the boredness in my voice was visible and I think, I made myself clear that I don't wanna talk to him any longer.
In any possible way I can.
The fact that I can't ease the irritation that filled my being with so many chaotic segments of flame was enough reason to stay away from him.
However, the smirk on his lips still lingered and I assumed that it's permanent. I don't even know what's that for, but I don't have spare time for his taunting derision.
However, a drizzle of thoughts surged in my mind and one of them is to wipe off his smirk that mocks me and make his lips bleed.
That idea mentally made me flinch in disgust. Ang brutal ko naman no'n.
"Yes, I am."
He answered while straightly looking into my eyes. I was suddenly choked by my own breathes and I felt uncomfortable from his iconic gaze.
I grabbed Kacy's arms and tugged mine to hers. "Okay. We gotta go." I told him to dismiss the conversation.
I don't wanna prolong my agony through this talk.
"Wait," Humarang siya sa daan para pigilan kami.
"What now, Lucian?" naiinip kong saad.
"Your mother talked to me over the phone. She told me that she couldn't stay at the house till next month."
"Cool," I replied, shrugging the sudden sadness towed my chest.
That's not new to me. Nasanay na akong iwan nila palagi.
"And also Lea, I'm gonna stay at the mansion."
There's daring emotions that drowned me. I can't name that feeling because... it was foreign. That even pointing the exact word for it was a hard job to do.
"Yeah, sure." shortly, I murmured and pulled Kacy away.
I don't care if I'm being rude to him again. All I want is to get away from his sight.
I no longer clutch the details of my life's event nor my emotions if they're still intact. Every time Lucian and I had a few meters distance from each other, there's this feeling that he evoked inside me.
I'm feeling that weird emotions towards him. Arg! I'm seriously overreacting these past few days!
I was startled when Kacy pinch my waist.
"Ang gwapo niya, Lea!" kinikilig na pahayag niya.
Lumayo ako ng ilang distansya sa kanya. I gently rubbed the side of Kacy's merciless pinched.
She's brutal, really. Ang sakit ng pagkakakurot niya!
"I know that my cousin is hands-"
"Is he the man Katrisha talking about?" Kacy cut me off. Her eyes widen in shock, too.
"Yes. He is Katrisha's boyfriend and he's my cousin, Kacy. Kaya hindi ko alam kung bakit ako ang pinagdiskitahan ng babaeng 'yon."
"E sino ba namang hindi magseselos kung ganyang mukha ang kasama ng boyfriend mo, Lea?!" she even dare to point my face while exclaiming those words.
With my forehead crest, I asked her, "What's wrong with my face?"
"Hay! I don't know what to do with you, Lea! Sa mukhang 'yan, kaya mong paluhudin ang mga lalaki without exerting an effort! Like duh, sana all!" Napangiwi ako dahil sa sinabi niya.
"I don't get you."
Exaggerated it may seem but her face looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring.
"Ke talino mong tao, hindi mo ma gets ang sinabi ko!" she said helplessly.
"What are you talking about?" I inquired with curious eyes.
"Alam mo kasi, 'di ba boyfriend ni Katrisha ang pinsan mong ubod nang hotness sa katawan!"
"Stop dreaming about him, Kacy. You're making me puke."
Inirapan niya ako. I chuckled at her cute remarks.
"Katrisha didn't know that you and that yummy Oppa were cousins! Hence, she concluded that your cousin might have cheated on her and be with you instead!"
"I clearly get it, but what's the point? She can just ask me! Not the kind of ways she did earlier. It's cheap."
"Sabagay. Hay, naku! Let's go outside, Lea! I'm already hungry."
"Ewan ko sa 'yo, Kacy. I didn't tell you to walk out with me."
"Ang gandang eksena, eh! You're beautiful and cool out there."
Mahina akong napatawa bago napailing dahil sa sinabi niya.
"Whatever you say, Kacy."
