"A puppy?"
I said as I stared down on a little golden retriever who's playing around my feet. I'm honestly not into taking care of puppies or any animals. They're cute, but annoying at the same time! So I really don't get it why people like them.
"Yes, Elli. He's part of the family now. Don't you like him?" Sabay akbay sa akin ni Papa.
I frowned. "Bakit naman po kayo kumuha ng tuta?"
He chuckled. "I know you're not fond of animals. But give it a try. A dog is every man's best friend they say." Sabi niya tsaka marahang tinapik ang balikat ko at sumunod kay Mama sa kusina.
I looked back at the puppy. Napaupo na lamang ako sa sahig at agad naman itong nagtatalon talon sa kandungan ko.
"Elli, she doesn't have a name yet. Gusto mo bang ikaw na lang magpangalan sa kaniya?" Sabi ni Mama nan
