The devil's conspiracy

THE DEVIL'S CONSPIRACYWhen Michael returned to his hometown after twelve years, the first thing he noticed was the old house at the end of the road.It was still standing. The roof was covered with moss. The windows were broken. Tall grass surrounded the building, and the front door hung slightly open.Everyone in the village called it the Devil's House.Michael had heard stories about it when he was a child, but he never believed them.People said strange things happened there. Some claimed they heard voices calling their names from inside. Others said anyone who entered after midnight would never return.Michael was twenty-eight now. He was no longer a frightened child. He had returned because his grandmother had died. She had left him her small family house and everything inside it.While going through her belongings, Michael found an old wooden box beneath her bed.Inside was a black-and-white photograph. His grandmother appeared in the picture as a young woman. Beside her stood Michael's grandfather and two strange men.Behind them was the abandoned house at the end of the road.Michael turned the photograph over.Written on the back were the words:“We opened the door. We should never have done it.”Michael felt a strange chill.Under the photograph was an old black key. That night, Michael could not sleep. At exactly 2:13 a.m., he heard three knocks on his bedroom window.Tap.Tap.Tap.He slowly opened his eyes.Another knock came.Tap.Tap.Tap.Michael walked toward the window and pulled the curtain aside.Nobody was there.Only the branches of an old mango tree moved in the wind.He sighed and turned around. Then he heard a whisper.“Michael…”He froze. The voice sounded exactly like his grandmother.“Michael…”The voice came from underneath his bed.Michael grabbed his phone and turned on the flashlight.Nothing was there. He searched the room.Nothing.His phone suddenly went off.The room became completely dark.Michael spent the rest of the night sitting against the wall. The next morning, he decided to ask someone about the old house. While walking through the village, he met an old man named Elias.Elias had known Michael's family for decades.“You came back,” the old man said.“Yes. For my grandmother's funeral.”Elias nodded. Then his eyes moved toward the abandoned house.“You haven't gone there, have you?”Michael shook his head.“No.”“Good.”“Why?”Elias lowered his voice.“That house is not empty.”Michael laughed.“It's been abandoned for years.”Elias stared at him.“Your grandmother knew better.”Michael stopped laughing.“What do you mean?”The old man looked around before speaking.“Your family has been hiding something from you.”“What?”Elias shook his head.“Ask your grandmother's diary.”Michael immediately returned home.He searched through her belongings until he found an old leather notebook. The first pages contained ordinary family memories. But the middle of the book was different. His grandmother had written about the abandoned house.According to the diary, Michael's great-grandfather had discovered a hidden room beneath the building in 1954.He believed there was treasure inside. One night, he entered the room with three other men. They found a huge black stone door. There were strange symbols carved into it.When they touched the door, they heard whispers. The voices called each man by name.Three of them became obsessed with opening the door.Michael's great-grandfather refused. The three men eventually opened it.Something came through.Michael's grandmother described the creature as a shadow without a face. Its name was Malachar.Malachar offered the three men wealth, power and long life. But there was a price. Each man had to give Malachar a member of his family. One by one, the men disappeared.Michael's great-grandfather escaped. But before he died, he made a terrible mistake. He promised Malachar that one day someone from his bloodline would return and finish the agreement.Michael closed the diary. His heart was pounding. He stared toward the abandoned house.Suddenly, he understood why his grandmother had written one sentence repeatedly:“Never enter the house after midnight.”That evening, Michael decided to leave the village. He packed his bags. But before he could leave, someone knocked on the door.It was Elias.“You read the diary,” the old man said.Michael nodded.“You need to leave now.”“Why?”“Because Malachar knows you're here.”A loud sound came from outside.BOOM!Both men turned toward the window. The abandoned house stood in the distance. Its front door was slowly opening.Elias grabbed Michael's arm.“Don't look at it.”But Michael looked anyway.A tall black figure stood inside the doorway. Two red eyes stared directly at him.Michael stepped backward. The figure raised one hand. Then the lights in Michael's house went

The last call from room 9

THE LAST CALL FROM ROOM 9At exactly midnight, the old telephone in Room 9 always rang.Nobody knew why.The hotel had been abandoned for twenty-three years, yet the telephone still worked.People in the nearby town called it The Silent Hotel. Its windows were covered with dust, its walls were cracked, and weeds grew through the floorboards. No electricity had entered the building since the hotel was closed.Yet every night at midnight, one telephone rang inside Room 9.And anyone who answered it disappeared.Daniel had heard the story many times, but he never believed it.He was twenty-one and had recently moved back to town after finishing school. One evening, while sitting with his friends near the old hotel, someone dared him to spend the night inside.“You won't last until midnight,” his friend Michael laughed.Daniel smiled.“Watch me.”At 11:20 p.m., Daniel pushed open the hotel gate. The rusty gate made a horrible screeching sound. He entered the building with a flashlight in one hand and his phone in the other. The air inside was strangely cold.Dust covered the reception desk. Old photographs hung on the walls, showing smiling guests who had stayed there decades ago.Daniel walked through the lobby.Everything was silent. Then he noticed something strange.A grandfather clock stood against the wall. Its hands were moving backward.Daniel stared at it.11:21.11:20.11:19.The clock was counting down.He decided to ignore it and walked upstairs. The second floor contained nine rooms.Room 9 was at the very end of the hallway. Its door was different from the others. It was painted black.A small brass number was attached to it.9Daniel reached for the handle. The door opened before he touched it.Inside was an old bedroom. There was a bed, a wooden table, a dusty mirror and an antique telephone sitting beside the bed.Daniel looked at his phone.11:45 p.m.He laughed nervously.“So this is the famous room.”He sat on the bed.Nothing happened.11:50.11:55.The temperature suddenly dropped.Daniel's breath became visible. Then the telephone rang.RING.Daniel jumped. He looked at the clock.11:59.The phone rang again.RING.He remembered the warning.Never answer the phone.Daniel stood up.The phone rang a third time.RING.He stepped backward. Then the ringing stopped.Silence returned.Daniel sighed with relief. His phone suddenly vibrated. He looked at the screen. There was an incoming call. The caller ID showed his own phone number.Daniel frowned.“That isn't possible.”The phone continued ringing. He rejected the call.Immediately, another call came.Same number. His own number. He rejected it again. Then a text message appeared.ANSWER THE HOTEL PHONE.Daniel's heart began beating faster. He looked at the antique telephone. It was ringing again. This time, he answered.“Hello?”For several seconds, there was only static. Then a little girl's voice whispered:“Daniel…”He froze.“How do you know my name?”The girl began crying.“Please help me.”“Who are you?”“My name is Anna.”Daniel stood up.“Where are you?”“I'm in Room 9.”Daniel looked around. He was standing in Room 9.“I don't understand.”The girl whispered:“You are not in Room 9.”Daniel's blood turned cold.He looked at the door. The number had changed. It now read:10Daniel dropped the phone. He rushed toward the door and opened it.The hallway was gone.Instead, there was a long dark corridor stretching into the distance.Doors lined both sides. Each door had a number.9. 10. 11. 12. Every door was marked 9.Daniel stepped backward. The telephone began ringing again. He picked it up with shaking hands.Anna whispered:“Don't let it see you.”“What?”“The man in the hallway.”Daniel slowly turned. At the far end of the corridor stood a tall man.He wore an old hotel manager's uniform. His face was hidden beneath darkness.Daniel whispered:“Who is that?”Anna began screaming through the phone.“RUN!”The man lifted his head.Daniel ran.He sprinted down the corridor, passing door after door. But no matter how far he ran, the man remained behind him. Then Daniel noticed something terrifying. The man's footsteps were getting closer. He ran faster.Suddenly, a door appeared in front of him.ROOM 9Daniel threw it open and jumped inside. The door slammed shut.Silence.He leaned against it, breathing heavily. Then he heard a voice behind him.“You shouldn't have answered.”Daniel slowly turned.Anna stood beside the bed.She looked about eight years old.Her skin was pale, her hair was wet, and dark shadows surrounded her eyes.Daniel couldn't speak.Anna pointed toward the mirror.“Look.”Daniel turned. His reflection was standing inside the mirror. But it wasn't copying him.The reflection smiled.Daniel did not. Then the reflection raised its hand and knocked th

the shadow in number 13

THE SHADOW IN NUMBER 13Nobody in Blackwood Village went near the abandoned house at the end of the road. Its number was 13.For more than fifty years, the house had stood empty. The windows were shattered, weeds covered the walls, and the front door was permanently locked. But every night at exactly 2:13 a.m., people heard someone whispering from inside.“Help me…”Seventeen-year-old Daniel thought it was only an old village superstition. One stormy night, he decided to enter the house and prove everyone wrong. As he pushed open the rusty gate, a cold wind passed through him. Then he heard a voice.“Daniel…”He stopped.Nobody was there.“Daniel…”The voice came from inside the house.Daniel slowly walked toward the front door. Before he could touch it, the door opened by itself.Inside, everything was covered in dust.Lightning flashed through the broken windows, revealing an old family photograph hanging on the wall.Daniel stepped closer. His blood turned cold. The photograph showed a family standing in front of the house. And among them was a little boy who looked exactly like him.Suddenly, the front door slammed shut.Daniel tried to open it, but it wouldn't move. Then he heard footsteps behind him.Slow.Heavy.Closer.He turned around.A pale woman stood at the end of the hallway. Her eyes were completely black.“Who are you?” Daniel whispered. The woman smiled.“You don't remember me?”Daniel shook his head.“I am your mother.”Daniel stepped backward. His mother had died when he was a baby. Before he could speak, the house changed. The broken walls became new again. The dusty furniture returned. Ghostly people appeared everywhere, walking through the rooms. Then Daniel remembered. He saw himself as a small child. He was hiding beneath a table while the house burned around him.His mother was screaming. And behind her stood a huge black shadow. The shadow had no face.Only two glowing eyes.Daniel suddenly understood.“That thing killed you.”His mother nodded.“It has been waiting for you to return.”The clock suddenly struck 2:13.The lights went out.Something crawled down the staircase. Its long fingers scratched against the wooden steps.Daniel's mother screamed, “RUN!”Daniel ran toward the door. But the door had disappeared. The shadow stood behind him.Daniel remembered the photograph. He grabbed it from the wall and tore it apart. The house began shaking violently. The shadow screamed.Every window shattered at once.Daniel's mother grabbed his hand.“Don't look back!”They ran through the wall as the entire house collapsed behind them.Daniel woke the next morning beside the road.Number 13 was gone. The villagers searched the area, but they found only ashes and one piece of the photograph.Daniel picked it up.It showed his mother. On the back were four words:“I am still watching.”That night, Daniel woke suddenly. The clock beside his bed read:2:13 A.M.Then came three knocks on his bedroom window.Knock.Knock.Knock.Daniel slowly turned toward it.His mother's pale face was staring through the glass. And behind her…stood the shadow from Number 13.This time, it was smiling.

The Whispering DoorAt exactly midnight, Daniel heard three knocks on his bedroom door.Knock.Knock.Knock.He froze. His parents were away, and he was certain he had locked the front door. Slowly, he walked toward his bedroom door.“Who is it?” he whispered.A woman’s voice answered from the other side.“Daniel… open the door.”His heart stopped. It was his mother’s voice. But his mother was hundreds of kilometers away.Daniel stepped backward. The voice came again.“Daniel, please… let me in.”Suddenly, his phone rang. It was his mother. He answered with shaking hands.“Daniel,” she said, “whatever you hear tonight, do NOT open your bedroom door.”The knocking stopped. Then Daniel heard footsteps moving away from the door.He looked underneath it.Two bare feet were standing on the other side. But they were facing backward.Daniel screamed and ran to the window.Behind him, the bedroom door slowly opened by itself.A cold wind filled the room. And a whisper came from the darkness:“You shouldn't have looked under the door.”Daniel turned around.Nobody was there.Only a strange black mark had appeared on his bedroom wall.It looked like a handprint. Then another appeared. And another.Hundreds of invisible hands began pressing against the walls.Daniel grabbed his phone and ran outside. When his mother finally returned the next morning, she found Daniel sitting beneath a tree, trembling. She looked at the house and immediately began crying.“What happened?” Daniel asked. His mother pointed toward the upstairs window.“That house has been empty for twenty years,” she whispered.Daniel stared at her.“But we've lived here for five years.”His mother shook her head.“No, Daniel. We haven't.”Behind them, three knocks came from inside the house.Knock.Knock.Knock.And Daniel heard his own voice whisper:“Mom… open the door.”
